FRANKFURT HOLD ON

Ujah's late goal made for a tense final few minutes, but the visitors managed to see the result over the line and deservedly pick up their third Bundesliga win of the season to climb to seventh in the standings - until tomorrow at least. Union showed plenty of grit but were ultimately undone by Frankfurt's quality in the final third.

SOW FIRES OVER

The midfielder tries his luck with a speculative effort from 25 yards, but it sails over the crossbar.

HERE WE GO AGAIN!

This is Frankfurt's 14 th competitive game of the season and their first that has been goalless at the interval. Will it also be their first 0-0 of 2019/20? If the first half was anything to go by, that appears unlikely.

FOUR MINUTES OF STOPPAGE TIME

We're into additional time now. Can the hosts snatch an equaliser?

FIRST GOAL FOR UJAH

The 28-year-old is off the mark for Union with his first goal since joining the club over the summer. He has scored 5 of his last 7 Bundesliga goals after coming off the bench.

Anthony Ujah

UNION BACK IN IT!

This is a terrific goal from Ujah. The striker picks up possession in the centre of the pitch and spreads it wide to Becker, who cuts inside and lays the ball back to Ujah on the edge of the Frankfurt penalty area. The Nigerian strikes it first time, under pressure, and buries it into the top corner. Game on!
84'

ON COMES PACIENCIA

Paciencia gets his chance to show what he can do, replacing Dost up front for the final few minutes.
83'

VISITORS IN CONTROL

Frankfurt are playing very well now, keeping possession and forcing Union to chase the ball. Their lead doesn't look in any danger.
79'

ON COMES CHANDLER

29-time USMNT international Timmy Chandler enters the fray as he continues his recovery from a long-term knee injury, making his fourth Bundesliga appearance of the season.
76'

HEROIC FROM TRAPP!

Becker is involved again for Union, cutting in from the right on the edge of the box and bending a shot towards the far post. It looks certain to go in, but Trapp pulls off a magnificent save to keep it out. Becker holds his head in anguish and well he might; that looked like a goal all the way.
74'

CLOSE FROM UJAH

Becker whips in a devilish delivery from the right and finds Ujah at the back post. The Nigerian striker takes a first-time effort with his right foot, but can't get enough power behind it and Trapp makes a good save.
72'

FRANKFURT CLOSING RANKS

Attacking midfielder Kamada is taken off, perhaps with Thursday's Europa League match in mind, and is replaced bu defensive midfielder Kohr.
66'

ATTACKING CHANGE FROM UNION

Union coach Urs Fischer reacts to Silva's goal by making an attacking double substitution, with Ujah and Mees coming on for midfielder's Bülter and Schmiedebach.
63'

SILVA DOUBLES FRANKFURT'S LEAD

This is a lovely goal. Durm plays the ball down the right to Sow, who bends a teasing cross into the middle. Silva times his run perfectly and heads it back across goal - wrong-footing Gikiewicz - and into the net. Brilliant stuff from Frankfurt.

André Silva

KOSTIC TO THE RESCUE!

Kostic, usually so dangerous at the other end of the pitch, races back to make a brilliant block to snuff out a dangerous cross from Bülter.
60'

UNFORTUNATE FOR GOGIA

The Union winger, who's been very good in this game, goes down in some pain after twisting his knee on the slippery surface. Becker comes on in his place.
55'

HOW MUCH IS LEFT IN THE TANK?

There is the sense that the match is playing right into Frankfurt's hands now. Union have been energetic and committed all game, but their strength will inevitably wane as the game wears on. The fact they now need to push more men forward in search of an equaliser will open up gaps for the visitors - who are counter-attacking experts - to exploit.
51'

TWO IN FOUR FOR DOST

That goal was the big Dutchman's second in just four Bundesliga outings for Frankfurt and his first away from home for the Eagles. His previous effort was against Fortuna Düsseldorf on Matchday 3.
49'

DOST BREAKS THE DEADLOCK!

Frankfurt's pressure takes its toll as Gikiewicz is unable to hold on to Kostic's fierce shot from the left. He makes a good save but can only palm the ball into the path of Dost, who is left with a simple tap-in!

ALL SQUARE AT THE BREAK

There have been no goals as yet, but it's been a lively, entertaining first 45 minutes. Both teams are throwing everything at it and there have been openings at either end of the pitch. All that's been lacking so far is a finishing touch.
Half-time
43'

SILVA TESTS GIKIEWICZ

Silva meets a cross from the right at the back post and heads it goalwards. It's a tough one for him as the ball's slightly behind him and he has to generate all the pace on his effort himself. He does well to get a header on target, but Gikiewicz dives to his right and makes a routine save.
42'

SOW CHARGED DOWN

Kamada jinks forward and plays a ball to Durm, whose attempted shot is blocked. The ball falls to the feet of Sow, who lines up a left-footed shot just inside the penalty area, but - you guessed it - another last-gasp lunge from a defender sees it out for a corner.
41'

GOOD RUN FROM GOGIA

The Union wide man sprints down the right and does well to get to the byline, but his pull-back to the near post is smothered by Trapp before a team-mate can get a toe to it.
37'

UNION THREATEN

Sow goes into the referee's notebook for hauling back Gogia, giving Union a free-kick in a promising position wide on the right. Trimmel swings in it and after the ball is headed out to the edge of the area, Reichel hits a left-footed shot first time. It's well struck and is heading towards goal, but takes a deflection in a crowded penalty area and bounces away.
34'

HINTEREGGER AND TOURE: END OF THE LINE

There's simply no way past the Eintracht defenders at the moment, with Hinteregger (5) and Toure (7) winning each and every tackle they've contested so far.
31'

PROMISING FROM FRANKFURT

Some desperate defending from Union as Frankfurt launch wave after wave of attacks, recycling possession and spreading the play across the pitch. Hinteregger, Silva and Kamada all have shots blocked by last-ditch lunges in a matter of seconds. It's a very intense game, but you have to winder how long Union can keep up this kind of tempo.
28'

BRILLIANT FROM HINTEREGGER

A promising move from Union as an attack sweeps from left to right. It comes to Gogia, who has a man in support, but Hinteregger is very quick to close him down before he can decide what to do and Frankfurt clear their lines.
26'

TRIMMEL WELL PLACED

Kamada makes a nice run behind the Union defence and is picked out by an excellent crossfield pass, but Trimmel is alert and manages to nudge the Japanese playmaker off the ball.
21'

UNION STANDING FIRM

The hosts are defending well at present and have won 60 per cent of all tackles so far this game, while also preventing Frankfurt from having a single shot at their goal.
17'

SILVA RACES CLEAR!

A superb slide tackle from Dost in the middle of the park and the ball bounces kindly into the path of Silva, who sprints towards goal. He's in the inside right channel as he enters the box, but he hesitates before shooting and is ultimately tackled by an excellent covering challenge from Friedrich.
14'

KOSTIC WARMING UP

The winger again receives the ball out wide on the left and pulls an inviting ball back to the edge of the penalty area, but it's just behind Silva and Union manage to clear the danger.
13'

KOSTIC DETERMINED

Kostic does his best to try and fashion an opening, showing great strength and desire to wriggle past a couple of defenders, but Gogia does well to shield the ball from him as the Serbian winger darts in to the box and the ball goes harmlessly out of play for a goal kick.
8'

UNION CLOSING EARLY

Frankfurt are trying to implement their game plan - seeking out Kostic on the left and Durm on the right as often as they can. The hosts are alive to the danger though, and are closing down the Frankfurt wingers with two or three men whenever the ball is played to the flanks.
6'

FIRST CHANCE FOR UNION!

Trimmel drills in a low corner from the right towards the edge of the box, reminiscent of a goal Union scored against Dortmund. Reichel meets it and shoots first time, but Trapp reacts brilliantly to keep it out with his foot!
2'

EARLY SPARRING

The teams are still settling down here. Durm slings in a cross from the right that takes a deflection on its way into the box and sends Gikiewicz scrambling back to make sure it definitely goes over his bar.
1'

AND WERE OFF!

Here we go! Matchday 6 is under way in Berlin.
Kick-off!

COIN TOSS

The teams are out on the pitch and going through the pre-match formalities. We're almost ready!

FIRST AWAY WIN?

Frankfurt are yet to pick up a point on the road this season, losing both away fixtures 2-1 (against RB Leipzig and Augsburg). Can they change that here? Union, for their part, have won just once in three games (losing the other two) - but their victory did come against Dortmund, so anything is possible.

VETERAN HOME TEAM

The Union starting line-up has an average age of 29.5 years, the team's oldest since 21 March 2014. Meanwhile, Akaki Gogia makes his first start of the season, having last been in the first XI in April this year in a 0-0 draw against Dynamo Dresden in Bundesliga 2.

STARTING DEBUT FOR DOST

Frankfurt coach Adi Hütter has made two changes to the side that drew 2-2 with Dortmund last week, as Kohr and Paciencia drop to the bench for Kamada and Dost, who makes his first Bundesliga start for the Eagles.

UNION STARTING XI:

Gikiewicz - Trimmel (c), Friedrich, Subotic, Reichel - Gogia, Gentner, Andrich, Schmiedebach - Andersson, Bülter (SUBS):  Nicolas, Ryerson, Mees, Ujah, Flecker, Kroos, Becker, Schlotterbeck, Ingvartsen

FRANKFURT STARTING XI:

Trapp - Toure, Hasebe (c), Hinteregger - Durm, Sow, Fernandes, Kostic - Kamada - Silva, Dost (SUBS) Rönnow, Ndicka, Falette, Joveljic, Gacinovic, Torro, Chandler, Paciencia
