BAYERN ARE BEATEN!

Bayern's unbeaten start to the season is over! Sargis Adamyan is the hero, the full Bundesliga debutant with two goals to ease the pressure on Hoffenheim coach Alfred Schreuder. Luckily for Bayern, Dortmund and Leipzig could only draw, so they stay top on goal difference  - for now...

GNABRY!

Bayern are throwing everything at Hoffenheim, and they're almost rewarded. Gnabry smashes through a ruck of blue shirts, but it's wide. Just!

IT HAD TO BE LEWY!

Superb stuff from Bayern - the patience they'd been lacking. The final ball comes in from Thomas Müller, and Lewandowski makes no mistake with a towering header. Eleven goals in seven matches to start a season - a feat no other player has managed in Bundesliga history.

BAYERN CHANCES

A pair of decent chances for Bayern. Serge Gnabry's back header from Boateng's cross doesn't trouble Baumann, though. Neither does Lewandowski, attacking a well-weighted Müller ball.

LEWANDOWSKI LETS RIP!

Thiago with a trademark pass to find Lewandowski on the edge of the Hoffenheim area. He drives goalwards, but Kevin Akpoguma gets in a crucial block. He handled in the process, but was on his way to ground at the time so the referee doesn't give Bayern's penalty calls much thought.

TALKING TACTICS

It looks like Alfred Schreuder has switched from a back three to a four-man defence. Havard Nordtveit is also on to deal with the expected onslaught.

POSCH SO CLOSE!

Brilliant from Stefan Posch to control a long ball into the Bayenr box. The Hoffenheim defender takes aim for the far post, but sends his effort just wide.

FRESH LEGS

So much for Thomas Müller and Philippe Coutinho being "too attacking". Müller's on for Kingsley Coman, while Ivan Perisic replaces Kingsley Coman. Not bad Plan B for Niko Kovac to have up his sleeve! Will it pay off?

DEBUT GOAL FOR ADAMYAN!

Shock o'clock in Munich! Dennis Geiger hounds Corentin Tolisso in midfield, driving forward before sliding in Sargis Adamyan. The Armenian is surrounded by red shirts, but manages to squeeze a tidy finish into the net at Manuel Neuer's near post. What a way for the former Regensburg man to mark his full Bundesliga debut! Hoffenheim have never won at the Allianz Arena...

SKOV HAS A POP!

Robert Skov with another warning shot for Hoffenheim. The Denmark international shifts onto his weaker right foot, but Manuel Neuer makes an awkward save look easy. Skov is still awaiting his first Bundesliga goal following his record-breaking campaign in Denmark with Copenhagen. 'The Danish Gareth Bale' broke the Superligaen record for most strikes in a single campaign - 30 goals in 34 games.

NO WAY THROUGH IN MUNICH

Bayern showed more urgency late on, after Hoffenheim squandered a couple of golden opportunitites to take the lead at the Allianz Arena. You do wonder if they'll come back to haunt the visitors...

BAYERN PENALTY APPEALS

Robert Lewandowski goes to ground under Kevin Akpoguma's challenge, but the Bayern striker's penalty appeals fall on deaf ears. Great ball in from Coutinho, who's beginning to dictate the play.

TOLISSO TAKES AIM...

Much better from Bayern as Philippe Coutinho, Kingsley Coman and Joshua Kimmich prise open the Hoffenheim defence. Corentin Tolisso arrives on the ball, but shanks his effort over.
41'

POSCH CHANCE!

Rampaging forward from the back, Stefan Posch robs Corentin Tolisso of possession midway through the Bayern half. It opens up for him a he reaches the 18-yard box, but his eevntual shot lacks the direction to trouble Manuel Neuer. Had that been Grillitsch or Skov, Bayern might have been behind.

MAGIC SPONGE

Philippe Coutinho rides a challenge from Florian Grillitsch, but catches the Hoffenheim man on his way back down. The physio attends to Grillitsch, who trudges off gingerly before returning to the fray.

BEBOU TESTS NEUER

Hoffenheim win back possession in their own half through Florian Grillitsch. Ihlas Bebou picks up the ball on the right-hand side of the Bayern area and is allowed to jink into the box, before getting off a shot that makes Manuel Neuer work. A routine stop, but a warning shot all the same.
31'

LEWANDOWSKI!

Robert Lewandowski with the chance to extend his scoring streak to seven league matches, but his header doesn't trouble Oliver Baumann. Hoffenheim are on the ropes...
27'

TOLISSO UP AND OVER

Joshua Kimmich clips a ball into the feet of Corentin Tolisso, but he can't keep his effort down on the swivel. That chance came after Serge Gnabry had tested Oliver Baumann. Markedly more purpose about Bayern's play now.

GNABRY GOAL RULED OUT

Bayern have the ball in the net through Serge Gnabry, but referee Tobias Stieler doesn't let the record champions celebrate for long. Robert Lewandowski, who supplied the assist, was clearly offside when he received the ball out wide from Philippe Coutinho.

BAYERN QUIET

Bayern haven't got going yet, but take nothing away from Hoffenheim - they're giving the league leaders precious little space to work with.

TALKING TACTICS

Just as they did against Spurs, Bayern have lined up with Serge Gnabry on the left and Kingsley Coman on the right of the attack. It's not what we're used to, but Coman is looking lively as his run and cross is put behind by Benjamin Hübner.

BOATENG WITH THE BLOCK

Promise for Bayern as Lewandowski enjoys a few neat touches on the edge of the area before Hoffenheim snuff out the impending threat and break at speed. All of a sudden Sargis Adamyan is through on Manuel Neuer's goal, but he dallies and Jerome Boateng is able to deflect the Armenian's attempt over for a corner.

REDS VS BLUES

No mistaking who's who on the green baize of the Allianz Arena. The men in red have made an assured start, and are already in their passing groove. The blues of Hoffenheim are doing a lot of chasing.

MORE ON LEWANGOALSKI

As well as striking a record ten times in the first six Bundesliga matches of the season, Lewandowski has put more goals past Hoffenheim No.1 Oliver Baumann - 15 in 16 outings - than any other currently active Bundesliga player has managed against one goalkeeper.

THE VIEW FROM THE BAYERN CAMP

Niko Kovac (Bayern head coach): "The situation in the table and their points haul don't reflect Hoffenheim's quality. They want to play positive football, they want to improve, but they've been short of luck. It'll be a very, very difficult task for us. It won't be a walkover. We'll have to play to our limit."

THE VIEW FROM THE HOFFENHEIM CAMP

Alfred Schreuder (Hoffenheim coach): "Everyone's fired up to take on FC Bayern. They're the best club in Germany. And we saw how good they are in the Champions League. It's a big challenge for everyone. We'll create chances and be brave."

FORM

While Bundesliga leaders Bayern are unbeaten this season, winning their last four on the spin in all competitions, scoring 17 goals in the process, Hoffenheim are winless in five since edging Werder Bremen 3-2 on Matchday 2. Hoffenheim's only other victory under Alfred Schreuder came in the DFB Cup first round, where Die Kraichgauer needed a penalty shoot-out to save their bacon against 3. Liga outfit Würzburger Kickers.

LEWANGOALSKI

As if Robert Lewandowski's incredible run of 14 goals in 10 competitive appearances for Bayern so far this season wasn't enough to worry about for Hoffenheim, the Polish hit man also has a pretty healthy record in games against the Sinsheim club: three in his last three, and nine in 16 overall.

MORE ON BAYERN

Bayern take to the field as they finished their 7-2 drubbing of Tottenham Hotspur in the UEFA Champions League. That means Thiago, who replaced David Alaba at the break in North London, returns to the starting line-up, with Benjamin Pavard at left-back. Alphonso Davies, Thomas Müller and Ivan Perisic are among the substitutes, but Alaba are Lucas Hernandez miss out altogether.

MORE ON HOFFENHEIM

Coach Alfred Schreuder is still without captain Kevin Vogt, so it's a back three of Kevin Akpoguma, Benjamin Hübner - who stands takes the armband - and Stefan Posch once more. Having made back-to-back appearances as a second-half substitute, Sargis Adamyan makes his full Bundesliga debut at the expense of Christoph Baumgartner. The Armenian winger registered 15 goals and 11 assists in 33 Bundesliga 2 matches for Regensburg last season.
