NOT FINDING A WAY

Dortmund have had the ball but can't find an idea to beat Union's compact and superbly disciplined defence.

UNION DEFENDING WELL

The home side have restricted Dortmund to just four shots on target today and look unlikely to allow for many more in the final minutes.

LAST CHANCE SALOON

Bellingham and Morey are on in an attempt to get Dortmund back into this game late on.
78'

UNION LEAD AGAIN!

And once again, it's a set piece goal which does the damage. Trimmel's corner curls in and Friedrich is alone to powerfully head the ball back across goal bouncing in off the post beyond Bürki.

CHANGES

BVB captain Reus comes off after a quiet day with Brandt on, while Ryerson is on for Trimmel.

INTO THE FINAL 20...

We're looking for a late winning goal here now. Dortmund have taken control of the game once again in possession and are finding more space around the Union defence. Moukoko is looking the most likely to put them ahead if they do score.
67'

WITSEL BOOKED

The Belgian is the first Dortmund player booked as he brings down Endo in midfield.

HISTORY-MAKER!

The first 16-year-old to ever score in the Bundesliga.
63'

ALMOST ANOTHER FOR MOUKOKO!

Can plays him the ball in the Union box and he takes a fine touch before shooting at goal. This one is straight at Luthe but Dortmund have their tails up now and Moukoko is brimming with confidence.
62'

BÜLTER BOOKED

The first caution of the game comes for Bülter for bringing down Moukoko.
60'

HISTORY IN STYLE!

Youssoufa Moukoko has just become the youngest goalscorer in Bundesliga history and he has done it in style. A tidy pass in behind the Union defence from Guerreiro gives Moukoko a chance on his favoured left foot. And he duly smashes the ball home at the near post in Haaland-style with a thumping hit. What a moment for the 16-year-old!

BIG CHANCE!

Meunier is played down the right beautifully by Witsel and his cross beats Luthe tp the back post. Moukoko stretches for it but he's inches too short. Another chance for his first goes begging!
57'

A SET-PIECE DOES THE TRICK!

Trimmel's corner is flicked on by Prömel at the near post and the ball lands with Awoniyi at the back post. He does well to angle himself to head the ball through Bürki and in for the Union lead. The 23-year-old with his 4th of the season!

BVB PASSING FOR FUN...

But Union are happy to let them do it so far!

FIRST CHANCE

Can's pass is blocked by Prömel and Awoniyi races forward. He finds Teuchert with a pass in behind Hummels and Akanji, but his shot back across goal from the left is saved by Bürki.
51'

UNION HAPPY TO SIT

The home side are defending first here, before anything else. Using Becker and Bülter on the wings they can get to work on the counter-attack in this half.
49'

GETTING WARM AGAIN

Dortmund have started on the front foot in this second half, but they're just lacking the final touch and pass in the final third. Sancho looks for Reyna but his ball is overhit which has been a story of Dortmund's game so far. The right ideas, but not the right execution.
46'

BACK UNDERWAY!

The ball is rolling again for the second half without a change to either side.
Kick-off!
45'

MOUKOKO OFF THE POST!

That was almost Bundesliga history. Once again Guerreiro finds space in midfield after moving into the middle and he turns before laying Moukoko in on goal. He shoots with his right foot and it clips the inside of the post before bouncing back out. What a chance that was at the end of the first half!
Half-time
42'

RIGHT IDEA

Guerreiro moves from left-back to the middle and makes a lovely run before spotting Reyna darting forward into the Union area on the left. His pass is just a touch overhit in the end and the ball goes out of play. That's more like it for BVB!
40'

APPROACHING THE BREAK

Neither side has been clinical in front of goal so far, with clear-cut chances few and far between.

LACKING CUTTING-EDGE

Dortmund can't get the ball into attack here. Most of the play is coming down the left flank with Sancho, but he's been well-contained by Trimmel and it's been a tough job for BVB to find space between Union's midfield and defence.
31'

MOUKOKO SO CLOSE!

Reus' pass intended for Sancho into the Union box hits his foot and bounces loose. Moukoko is onto it quickly and shoots with his left. Knoche blocks it and it's behind for a corner.

NEXT CHANCE

Another mistake is forced in the Dortmund defence with Akanji's stray pass intended for Witsel going straight to Becker. He immediately shoots low from the edge of the box but this one is hit straight at Bürki along the ground.
27'

SWAPPING SIDES

Sancho and Reyna are constantly switching flanks here, looking to throw off the Union defence. Reus is drifting wide as well, and even sending Moukoko out wide if he wants to sit in the middle. An ever-changing front four for BVB.
25'

ACTION AT BOTH ENDS

25 minutes in and both sides have shown positivity in attack. Dortmund dominated the first 15 minutes or so, but Union have responded well with high pressing forcing mistakes from BVB to hand them possession in dangerous areas. Just waiting to see who can grab the lead from it!
20'

HIGH AND WIDE

Becker races past Can in midfield and sends a shot at goal from 25 yards but this goes high and wide. A good few minutes here for Union, pulling themselves into the game more and more with attacking pressure.

MOUKOKO MAVING MOVES

The teenager has had plenty of touches on the ball here already, which is a positive sign for Terzic and his side.
17'

OPENING FOR UNION!

A loss in possession from Meunier sends Union away. It's Teuchert leading the attack, and he finds Becker to his right in space in front of goal. His shot is saved by Bürki's feet and Teuchert volleys over the rebound. Warning sign for BVB.
16'

PATIENTLY PROBING

Just the one chance so far really for either side, with Awoniyi's early effort brought back for offside. Union struggling to keep the ball for longer periods here, while Dortmund are looking for ways through Union's compact defence.
12'

EARLY CONTROL

Dortmund are keeping the ball well and winning it back swiftly when Union do win possession themselves.

BIG CHANCE FOR SANCHO!

Dortmund's pressing wins the ball back in the Union half with Reyna blocking Friedrich's pass. Moukoko takes it away and finds Sancho alone in the penalty area, but his shot is tame from his left foot and Luthe makes a good save with his feet.
8'

SANCHO HAS A GO

A first chance for Dortmund as Guerreiro finds Sancho and he dribbles his way to the edge of the Union box. His shot is blocked behind for the first corner of the game, which the home side clear.
7'

PRÖMEL SITTING DEEP

It's a 4-1-4-1 for Union here, with Prömel sitting alone between midfield and defence. Awoniyi, meanwhile, is leading the attack alone with Bülter and Becker on either flank.
5'

ON THE BALL

Dortmund enjoying the most of the early possession with some early touches for Reus, Reyna and Moukoko in attack. No chances created so far but pressing is also the order of the day once again under Terzic.
2'

EARLY CHANCE!

Hummels' pass is intercepted and Trimmel hits it long for Awoniyi to latch onto. He's caught by Hummels as he reaches the Dortmund penalty area but powers the German off his back before shooting at goal. Hummels blocks, but the offside flag is up at the end of the play.

HERE WE GO!

The ball is rolling in the German capital to begin the last weekend of Bundesliga football in 2020. Enjoy it while you can!
Kick-off!

TALE OF THE TAPE

Dortmund sit fourth in the table but most incredibly, Union are just four points behind them and could move up one place to fifth with a victory tonight. BVB, meanwhile, are looking to close a five-point gap which has emerged ahead of them with Leipzig sat in third.

KICK-OFF FAST APPROACHING

Settle in for what should be a spectacle tonight as Union play host to Dortmund under the capital lights.

WATCH: REYNA: "I WANT TO BE ONE OF THE TOP 10 IN THE WORLD"

Dortmund's 18-year-old USMNT wrote in his recent Player's Tribune piece that he wants to become one of the best players on the planet. And he believes he can start building his career this season in the Bundesliga. This is the story of a young footballer, shaped by his footballing family.

NO HAALAND NO PROBLEM?

Gio Reyna and Mats Hummels are Dortmund’s next best scorers after Haaland, with three goals apiece. Marco Reus scored the winner in Bremen on Tuesday, though, and he and the rest of the BVB squad will be eager to get 16-year-old Moukoko off the mark in the Bundesliga.

ANOTHER HISTORIC NIGHT?

Union beat Dortmund 3-1 in last season’s corresponding fixture. It was the club’s maiden Bundesliga win. This season, Fischer's side are unbeaten in their last four home league matches since losing 3-1 to Augsburg on the opening weekend.

UNION TEAM NEWS

The unheralded Marius Bülter scored twice on a memorable east Berlin night in August 2019, and Union's chances of repeating that feat are boosted with him in attack. Fischer said that veteran midfielder Gentner is part of a long list of absentees, with Danish forward Ingvartsen out, too. Combative midfielder Andrich serves the last part of a three-game ban, while defender Schlotterbeck is out along with Kruse until the new year.

BVB TEAM NEWS

Star striker Erling Haaland, who has 10 league goals in 2020/21, will not be back from injury until after the winter break. Youssoufa Moukoko leads the attack again, just 28 days after turning 16. Centre-back Mats Hummels starts despite being forced off late in the Bremen game. Meanwhile, Emre Can is into midfield and Thomas Meunier starts at right-back.
