WATCH: Alphonso Davies: "I'm happy for LewanGOALski"

BAYERN GO TOP!

What a statement from the record champions. They've ended the last two remaining unbeaten runs in their final two games of 2020 with wins over Wolfsburg and Bayer Leverkusen, and those six points have taken them top of the table going into the Christmas break.

INCREDIBLE! LEWY THE HERO!

IT COULD ONLY BE HIM! Tah loses possession in defence and Bayern take advantage. Kimmich claims the assist with his pass to Lewandowski in behind, and he smashes the ball home past Hradecky in the final seconds of added time. Unbelievable.

ADDED TIME!

We'll have three minutes of time added on here and both teams look more concerned about losing than going out to grab the win late on.

ALMOST AT THE END!

Diaby does fantastically to skip past Davies to the byline and cross into the box. It's so close to Alario in the middle but just has too much speed behind it as it flies past him in front of goal.

DEFENCE WINNING THE DAY

Both sides are a touch tired here after an intense first 60 minutes or so and the defences are on top here. We could still one mistake or one special moment change this game in the final minutes.

SCHICK COMING OFF

The scorer of Leverkusen's opener will be coming off here in a moment with Alario ready to go. A slight knock for Schick.

MUSIALA OFF THE POST!

What a chance for the young substitute as he curls a shot goalward past Tapsoba and Hradecky can only watch as it bounces back out off the post.

FINAL 15...

Will we see a winner between these two? They haven't shared points in the Bundesliga since 2017.
73'

CHANCE GOES BEGGING

Kimmich's free-kick bounces loose in front of goal and both Lewandowski and Müller go for it. It's Müller who reaches it first, but he fires his shot high over the crossbar on his right foot.
72'

BAILEY BOOKED

The Leverkusen winger is shown a yellow card as he drags Davies down.
68'

DOUBLE CHANGE

It's the moment Bayern fans have all been waiting for as Kimmich returns, and he replaces Tolisso. Meanwhile, Sane is back off here having come on for Coman in the first half and Musiala replaces him.
67'

HUGE CHANCE!

Gnabry is so close to getting Bayern ahead. Müller's through ball sends him in behind and he fires a shot low across goal. Hradecky produces a fantastic save low to his left to tip the ball wide.
64'

MISSING THE FINAL PASS

Both sides are getting forward well through midfield and spotting spaces to exploit in the other's armour, but the passes in the final third have just been lacking so far.
61'

AMIRI HAS A GO!

The midfielder is found with Schick's backheel and he finds space for a shot on his right. Neuer drops it at the first attempt, but gathers the loose ball.

END-TO-END

Both sides going all-out fro the attack here. Both defences doing superbly so far to scupper the over, and it's leaving acres of space in midfield to be exploited. So much fun watching this one, but neither Bosz nor Flick will be satisfied.
53'

PRESSING AGAIN

Leverkusen do superbly to force Neuer long and win the ball back. Schick is then found by Wirtz but he doesn't play in with him racing behind Süle. In the end, Schick's pass is too late and Leverkusen's attack is frustrated.

LEVERKUSEN'S TURN

Wirtz plays a lovely pass in behind to Bailey from Diaby's long switch of play. Bayer clear the ball behind for a corner but it's a really open, end-to-end start to this half.
46'

STRAIGHT OUT OF THE BLOCKS

Bayern come out flying with Lewandowski played in from the left. He's into the Leverkusen box and goes for goal at the near post but Hradecky reads it well.

ADDED TIME!

We'll have three minutes of time added on at the end of this first half.
45'

HERE COME BAYERN!

The momentum of this game has swung massively now and it's Bayern ending the half on top. Leverkusen's pressing has stopped and Bayern are trying to find their way forward.
43'

LEWY LEVELS!

And with their only chance on goal, Bayern level before the break. Sane gives Müller the ball out on the right and he sends in a cross. Tah and Hradecky go for the ball at the same time and neither can reach it, with the ball landing on Lewandowski's head for his 252nd Bundesliga goal - and one of his simplest.

WIRTZ UP THE PITCH

The 17-year-old attacking midfielder is almost playing as a second striker when Bayern have the ball in defence. That extra man to press high up the pitch is really causing Bayern problems.
39'

BAYERN NOT CLICKING

The defending champions have been caught out on the ball in defence and have misplaced passes themselves going forward. Not a performance from Bayern that we're used to seeing so far, while Leverkusen have been disciplined and composed.

A perfect picture of Bayern's first-half as Süle is up the pitch and goes for goal from 25 yards. Not the man Bayern want shooting at the opposition goal and that one sails high and wide.
34'

LEVERKUSEN PRESSING

The home side giving Bayern no room to work with on the ball, even in their own defence. It's worked out well for them so far with Tah and Tapsoba mopping up any longs ball played by the visitors.

EARLY CHANGE

A blow for Bayern as Coman has to come off here in the first half. But they are able to bring on Sane to replace him.

The Frenchman has stayed down here clutching his right leg and he's taking treatment now.

NO REST FOR BAYERN

Leverkusen are beginning to look into exposing Bayern's high defensive line with the speed of Bailey, Diaby and Schick in attack. Bayern are getting forward rarely themselves with Leverkusen well on top.

An incredible goal to put Leverkusen ahead and Bayern go behind for the seventh successive game! A short corner from the right as Amiri dinks the ball to the back post where Schick is all alone. IT'S THE BIG ONE!

What a way to end the season for Leverkusen and Bayern. A head-to-head clash at the top of the Bundesliga table. Settle in for this one, it's going to be special!

WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT

It was 1st and 2nd coming into the weekend for Leverkusen and Bayern. Leipzig earned a point earlier to go ahead of Bayern by a point, but this is a winner-takes-all game to decide who will top the Bundesliga into this year's shortened winter break.

BAILEY VS. LEWY

Bailey has nine goals from his last nine competitive outings for Leverkusen. He’s also hit four goals in nine meetings with Bayern. Meanwhile, 15-goal top scorer Lewandowski has only scored four times in 17 Bundesliga games against Leverkusen, and just twice in nine for Bayern.

POTENTIAL NEW RECORD

Incredibly, Bayern have gone behind in each of their last six Bundesliga games. Seven would be a record for the club, but it's worth noting that Bayern have also not lost any of those six games.

BAYERN'S BOGEY BOYS?

Leverkusen have won two of their three most recent Bundesliga meetings with Bayern, and have lost just three of their last 11 home league assignments against them (three wins, five draws).

WATCH: BAYERN ARRIVE!

SIMPLE FOR LEVERKUSEN

Fit-again eight-goal top scorer Lucas Alario is waiting on the bench for his third successive substitute appearance, with Patrik Schick - with two goals and one assist in his last three - starting. Aleksander Dragovic is at right-back in place of the injured Lars Bender.

WAIT AND SEE

Flick's line-up this evening leaves a few questions to be answered. Both Lucas Hernandez and Alphonso Davies start, which means would could see Hernandez in the centre of defence if David Alaba is pushed into midfield. We could also see Davies on the left wing, with Alaba in the centre of defence and Corentin Tolisso alone in central midfield. We shall have to wait and see how they start!

FLICK: “LEVERKUSEN CAN IMPOSE THEMSELVES ON GAMES”

Bayern coach Hansi Flick is taking nothing for granted at the BayArena: “They’re a very good side and are on a really good run. They’re full of confidence and are in good form. The way they play is good. They keep possession and are able to impose themselves on games.”

BOSZ: “WE BELIEVE IN OURSELVES”

Leverkusen head coach Peter Bosz gave his thoughts on the game at his pre-match press conference: “Bayern are a top team. They’re only one point behind us at the moment and are winning their games, even if they’re not doing so as convincingly as they did last year. But we’re on a run and are playing good football. We believe in ourselves.”

WATCH: ALL 251 OF LEWANDOWSKI'S BUNDESLIGA GOALS

The Bayern forward and recently crowned World's Best Player reached a milestone with his brace against Wolfsburg in midweek, becoming just the third player in history to score 250 Bundesliga goals. Check them all out here!

KIMMICH RETURN?

The Bayern central midfielder has been on the sidelines with injury in recent weeks, but has returned to training in the last few days and has not been confirmed as an absentee. Fellow midfielder Leon Goretzka is definitely out though, so Corentin Tolisso should start if coach Hansi Flick doesn't want to risk Kimmich yet. Leverkusen have a few injuries worries of their own, chiefly with Charles Aranguiz (Achilles tendon) and Sven Bender (knee) unable to play.

ADVANTAGE BAYERN?

Bayern have won 48 of the 82 Bundesliga meetings between these teams so far. There have been 16 draws and 18 victories for Leverkusen, including in two of the three most recent games. With just 10 goals conceded in the Bundesliga coming into this one, the hosts have the second-meanest defence in the top-flight this term - only Leipzig (nine) have let in fewer.
