EMPHATIC!
Nils Petersen slams in a late penalty with the last kick of the game. Freiburg run away with it in the end to make it three wins on the spin. Hertha slip to within three points of the relegation play-off spot.

PIATEK DENIED
Piatek with a chance to set up a grandstand finale, but Müller shows cat-like reacts to swat clear. Superb goalkeeping.

MAN OF THE MATCH
Grifo makes way, having extended his team-leading hand to six goals for the season. The Bundesliga's record substitute scorer is on in his stead.

SUPER SCHWOLOW
Hertha's No.1 with one for the cameras, but an important save all the same to derby Santemaria's dipping drive.

FOUR?! NO!
That quick-fire double has well and truly knocked the Xmas stuffing out of Hertha. They're all at sea as Günter swings over a cross. Höler's there first, but prods wide.
68'
GULDE MAKES IT THREE!
Freiburg take charge. Grifo whips in a corner, Gulde rises highest and makes no mistake with his header. Hammer blow to Hertha, who started the second half so well.
66'
GOING, GOING, JEONG!
Phwoar! Some hit from Jeong. He turns on a sixpence and arrows goalwards, but it's too close to Schwolow, who punches clear.
62'
DOUBLE CHANGE
Had Demirovic scored 60 seconds earlier, he might still be on the pitch. The Bosnian makes way for Höler, while Jeong is on for Sallai in a like-for-like change out wide.
61'
IT'S ALL GOING ON!
Freiburg retake the lead, but only after Piatek and Darida fail to finish off a superb Hertha move. They're punished emphatically, with Torunarigha unable to deal with a cross from the right, and Ermin Demirovic driving in his first Bundesliga goal from inside the box.

RUN, DILRO, RUN!
Dilrosun is at it again. He's in behind, but his shot from the tightest of angles comes back off the near post.

HERTHA ARE LEVEL!
Inspired substitution from Labbadia. Moments after Stark rattles the crossbar from a corner and an ensuing penalty review for a possible handball, Hertha are deservedly level. Dilrosun, the substitute, shows great feet on the edge of the area before digging out a back-post cross for Lukebakio to side-foot into the back of the net from close range. Outrageous individual skill from the young Dutchman to set that one up. Suddenly Freiburg are wobbling...

DODI DANGER
Dodi Lukebakio whips a telling right-wing ball into the six-yard box. Piatek makes his move, but Schlotterbeck sticks out a boot to clear. Absolutely crucial intervention!

CUNHA OFF
Hertha's top scorer Matheus Cunha gets the hook, with Javairo Dilrosun entering the fray. Unexpected, that.

SHOULD BE TWO!
What an opportunity for Freiburg! Demirovic sends Grifo through on goal - he only has Schwolow to beat, but his former teammate telegraphs the Italian's chip and makes a comfortable save. Low and either side of the goalkeeper, and he'd have been celebrating a second goal.
42'
DARIDA FROM RANGE
Hertha are showing a touch more purpose as we creep towards the break. Former Freiburg midfielder Darida's allowed to advanced into a shooting position, but sends his effort straight down the throat of Müller in the home goal.
36'
FIRST HERTHA SHOT
That's much more like it. Cunha's at the heart of the move in a central area, before the ball is shifted out wide left to Mittelstädt. He sells his man a dummy as he cuts onto his right foot, but his goal-bound shot is blocked by Schlotterbeck.
29'
OLD LADY SHOWING THEIR AGE
Hertha are looking pretty rudderless right now. There's very little movement between the lines and in the half spaces. Freiburg have them exactly where they want them.

SET-PIECE THREAT
Günter's corner to the front post causes problems for Hertha, who to a man are very slow to react. The loose ball is whipped over to the other side of the six-yard box, where defender Keven Schlotterbeck takes a swipe, but fails to make the necessary contact. Let-off for Hertha.
14'
SALLAI ROCKET
Roland Sallai scored twice in midweek against Schalke. The Hungarian pops up on the left this time, cutting inside before rifling wide of the far post.
13'
SECOND BEST
Hertha have made a very slow start. They're already chasing shadows.

GRIFO!!!!
The Italy international strikes again! Jonathan Schmid's ball into the box is a beauty, but Grifo still has a lot to do as he stoops to head home his sixth league goal of the campaign. Boyata and Torunarigha far too hung up on big Demirovic - Labbadia won't be happy with that.

FREIBURG POSITIVITY
The hosts have made a bright start, with top scorer Vincenzo Grifo heavily involved. He tries to thread a ball into the box for Günter, who's penalised for an over-zealous shoulder barge on Dedryck Boyata.

Hertha get us under way in the Black Forest, in their change strip of blue and black. Freiburg are decked in red, with white trims. Festive!
Kick-off!
NOT-SO-HAPPY HUNTING GROUND
Freiburg and Hertha have faced off 16 times in the Bundesliga. The Black Forest outfit have recorded six wins to their capital counterparts’ three, while there have been seven draws. Hertha have only won in Freiburg once, though - back in February 2010.
FREIBURG HAT-TRICK?
After going nine games without a win since beating promoted VfB Stuttgart on the opening weekend, Freiburg have the opportunity to sign off for 2020 on a run of three straight league victories. "We have a fantastic opportunity, but we know the Hertha game is a tough one," said head coach Christian Streich at his pre-match press conference. Freiburg begin the game in 13th place, a point and place above Hertha in the standings.
DEMIROVIC ON THE HUNT
Ermin Demirovic has been quietly getting accustomed to the Bundesliga following his summer move Swiss outfit St. Gallen. The Bosnia-Herzegovina forward scored 14 goals in 28 league outings last season, but is yet to fire in nine at Germany's top table. That said, the 22-year-old has only made two starts. Will it be a case of third time lucky later today?
THE GUENDOUZI FACTOR
Arsenal loanee Matteo Guendouzi has become a midfield stalwart for Hertha in recent months. The Frenchman has started the Old Lady's last six in the league, scoring one and assisting another, with Hertha unbeaten in four ahead of today's contest. "He's invaluable to us," commented Hertha boss Bruno Labbadia recently. "He’s a very, very good footballer, who has a good sense of space and is technically very strong. Even though he’s young, he gives instructions, even though he's not up to speed with the language." According to a report in Der Tagesspiegel, the capital club hope to make the 21-year-old's deal permanent as early as January.
FREIBURG TEAM NEWS
Ermedin Demirovic is preferred to club record marksman Nils Petersen in the only change to the team that won 2-0 at Schalke on Wednesday.
HERTHA TEAM NEWS
Bruno Labbadia makes a handful of changes following the midweek goalless draw with Mainz. Dodi Lukebakio is recalled at the expense of Javairo Dilrosun in the attacking three behind Krzysztof Piatek. Maxi Mittestädt is preferred to Marvin Plattenhardt at left-back, while Peter Pekarik replaces Deyovaisio Zeefuik on the opposite side of the back four. Vladimir Darida also comes back into the midfield, with record signing Lucas Tousart making way.
