RECORD-HUNTING LEWY!
That's 19 for Lewandowski this season from just 14 games. Only Gerd Müller (in 1968/69 - 20 and 1976/77 -19) has scored as many after 14 matches of a Bundesliga season.
83'
TWO FOR LEWY!
It's five for Bayern, two for Lewandowski and three points secured. Müller is sent clear down the right and lofts a cross into the middle which is met by Lewandowski. He is still able to finish it despite falling back as he hit the ball with a tidy volley.
80'
DOUBLE CHANGE
Mainz top scorer Mateta is on as is Stöger, with Burkardt and Brosinski coming off for the final 10 minutes.

DAVIES HAS A GO!
We don't see that often but Davies pings a shot at goal from 25 yards and Dahmen produces a save equal to it to beat the ball away from goal.
76'
NEVER IN DOUBT!
Lewandowski steps up and slots home his first goal in 2021. His 18th of the season in the Bundesliga as he sends Dahmen the wrong way with a fantastic penalty.

THIS ONE DOES COUNT!
Niklas Süle off the bench at half-time to put Bayern in front. It's a corner from the right and Kimmich which is headed down by Müller. Süle controls and volleys at goal with a touch from Fernandes taking the ball beyond Dahmen. What a turnaround from Bayern!
68'
STILL PUSHING
Mainz aren't going away quietly here as Barreiro flashes a shot wide from Quaison's cross. They're getting forward occasionally with counter-attacks, but it's Bayern on top here.
66'
GOAL RULED OUT!
Bayern thought they were ahead, but the goal has been ruled out for offside after Davies was adjudged to have been offside from Gnabry's pass.

A tactical foul from the Bayern centre-back as he brings down Boetius on the counter.

TOLISSO AGAIN
Another chance for the Frenchman as he brings down Müller's cross from the right to the back post. His shot is mistimed once again though and Dahmen holds on.

INCREDIBLE HIT FROM QUAISON!
Oh wow! That was almost an absolutely incredible goal. Quaison picks up possession 30 yards from goal and simply unleashes a thunderbolt at goal which Neuer doesn't get close to. To his delight, the ball smacks the upright and bounces back out and away.
58'
WHAT A GAME
Mainz battling for every ball here still but so are Bayern, with both sides showing a huge amount of passion and desire early in this second half. Now we'll have to see if Mainz can keep themselves in this.
55'
SUBLIME FROM SANE!
Bayern are level just 10 minutes into the second half and it's Sane with a brilliant goal. He's found by Kimmich in space on the right and he simply pushes the ball inside past Mwene and chases to the edge of the box before smashing a shot low into the bottom corner beyond Dahmen.
53'
BAYERN ON THE BALL
Much crisper passing play from Bayern so far in this second half, looking like the team we expect them to be as league leaders. Mainz looking to keep the pressure out right now.
50'
BAYERN BACK IN IT!
Minutes later and Bayern have a goal to get themselves back in it. Kimmich crosses to the back post and Gnabry gathers and controls with supreme skill. His cross is flicked to the other post by Lewandowski and Kimmich is perfectly placed to head past Dahmen.
48'
WHAT A CHANCE!
It should be 3-0 to Mainz here with Quaison found over the Bayern defence in the box. He plays the ball across to Latza whose shot is superbly saved onto his own post by Neuer and the chances then goes away. Such a huge opportunity to all but seal the points.
47'
KIMMICH AT RIGHT-BACK
With Goretzka on and Tolisso alongside him, it's Kimmich who has dropped to right-back.
46'
BACK UNDERWAY!
Two half-time changes for Bayern with Süle and Goretkza introduced for Pavard and Boateng.

WHAT A GOAL FOR MAINZ!
This is astonishing stuff as Alexander Hack's bullet header puts Mainz two goals up in Munich. Brosinski's free-kick is met by Hack 10 yards from goal and he beats Müller to the ball before smashing it home across Neuer and into the far bottom corner. His first Bundesliga goal in almost two years!
41'
BIG CHANCE!
Quaison is only a Manuel Neuer-hand away from doubling the lead as he dribbles to the edge of Bayern's box and curls a shot beyond Alaba. It's heading for the bottom corner, but the world's best goalkeeper does what he does best.

MAINZ WORKING FOR THEIR LEAD
37'
BIG CHANCE!
Fantastic from Bayern to break forward quickly. It's Sane down the right who then finds Lewandowski in the middle and he curls a powerful shot at goal. It's a superb save to deny him, though, from Dahmen tipping the ball past the post.
34'
CLUB RECORD
You may not believe this, but Bayern have now fallen behind in the Bundesliga in eight straight games.
32'
BOATENG BOOKED
The Bayern defender is cautioned for his protestations with no foul given with Burkardt's slight nudge on the Bayern defender.
32'
BURKARDT FOR MAINZ!
Once again Bayern concede first in the Bundesliga and it's Burkardt on target for Mainz. It's a long ball from Latza which Burkardt reaches behind Boateng before he races in and slots the ball past Neuer with style.
31'
BURKARDT WIDE OF GOAL
Mainz break well again down the right as Brosinski wins the ball and chases forward. He then crosses the ball to Burkardt on the left but he lashes his effort wide past Neuer and the goal.

SHOT BLOCKED!
Fine defending from St. Juste at the end who blocks Sane's shot from in front of goal. The chances coming thick and fast now for Bayern.
28'
TOLISSO AGAIN!
Another look at goal for the Frenchman as Davies' cutback misses a few Bayern players before reaching Tolisso. His shot on his left foot is tame though and Dahmen handles it well.
26'
MISTAKES A PLENTY
Bayern just slow to get going here in the first half. Some misplaced passes from Davies and Tolisso moving forward. Not quite clicking as usual.
23'
LATZA HAS A GO
End-to-end stuff as Mainz break following a Bayern attack. The ball comes to Latza 25 yards from goal, but his dipping shot is well held by Neuer.
19'
DEFENSIVELY SOUND
Mainz have been disciplined so far in their defensive work. Keeping shape well, not being drawn out of position by Bayern's runs off the ball. A bright start that interim coach Jan Siewert will be delighted with.
16'
WIDE FROM TOLISSO!
A great chance for Bayern as Gnabry gathers a loose ball to the back post and fires a low ball into the box. Lewandowski flicks it on and Tolisso meets it in front of goal, but he slides the ball wide from a position you'd expect him to hit the target from at the very least.
14'
GNABRY HAS A GO
A low strike at goal from Gnabry which Tolisso almost gets a touch on the end of, but it runs through for Dahmen to gather.

OFF THE LINE!
A big chance for Sane as he shoots low across goal. It's blocked by St. Juste but the ball continues to dribble slowly towards goal and Dahmen makes a fantastic last-ditch save to keep the ball out.
8'
QUAISON HAS A GO
A long ball over the Bayern defence is latched onto by the Swedish forward, but his attempt to lob the ball over Neuer doesn't come off.
6'
BRIGHT START
The away side enjoying a strong start to this game. The gameplan is clear: get the ball to Quaison in attack and allow him to link-up play with Burkardt and Boetius around him. Bayern enjoying most of the ball, but Mainz happy on the counter.
5'
BIG CHANCE!
Mainz break through the middle with Boetius sending Burkardt in on goal. He keeps ahead of Boateng before trying to place the ball back across goal, but Neuer produces a strong save with his feet to keep it out.

FOUR-MAN DEFENCE
It's a four-man backline here for the away side, with Brosinski at right-back and Mwene at left-back with Hack and St. Juste in the middle.

HERE WE GO!
The final game of the first Bundesliga weekend of 2021 is underway in Munich.
Kick-off!
TALE OF THE TAPE
It's second place against second-bottom in the Bundesliga for Bayern and Mainz to kick-start the New Year. Will Mainz spark a surprise, or will Bayern begin 2021 with three points to return to the top of the table.
THE MARK OF CHAMPIONS
Bayern are on the longest unbeaten run of any Bundesliga team (11 matches). The record champions have also claimed a league-high 15 points from a losing position in 2020/21.
KIMMICH BACK IN THE STARTING LINE-UP
The Bayern midfielder makes his first Bundesliga start since Matchday 7 away to Borussia Dortmund, although he did make his comeback from injury against Leverkusen just before Christmas. Meanwhile, Pavard returns at right-back, having been on the bench for the team's last two games.
BAPTISM OF FIRE FOR DAHMEN
Mainz goalkeeper, 22-year-old Finn Dahmen, makes his Bundesliga debut here, away to none other than Bayern. Regular first-choice goalkeeper Robin Zentner is absent with a back complaint.

PRE-GAME VIEWING: ALL 251 OF ROBERT LEWANDOWSKI'S BUNDESLIGA GOALS SO FAR
HEAD-TO-HEAD
Bayern have won nine of the 10 most recent league meetings between these sides, drawing the other. Overall they have taken maximum points in 21 of the 28 Bundesliga encounters between these teams, drawing three and losing just four. It's not all doom and gloom for the visitors though: they earned a 2-1 win at the Allianz Arena on Matchday 24 of the 2015/16 season.
THE STAKES
Bayern were top and Mainz second-bottom of the standings coming into this game. Leipzig's narrow win over Stuttgart yesterday has put them top of the pile for now, but victory for Flick's men here would restore their two-point advantage at the summit. Mainz, meanwhile, need points if they're to climb out of the relegation zone. Four defeats and 13 goals conceded in their six away games so far in 2020/21 do not bode well, however...
