The Gladbach midfielder races in behind the Stuttgart defence and gets a shot away on goal, but it's not as powerful as he'd like. Kobel saves that one.

Ginter and Gonzalez both down with each player catching the other late. Ginter was clearing the ball, though, so Gonzalez takes a yellow card.

BIG CHANCE!
Lovely play between Kalajdzic and Castro to send the captain through, but his shot is blocked on its way to goal by Ginter's challenge and Sommer can grab that one.

SET FOR A THRILLING FINALE
Two goals in the space of three second half minutes and we're set for a thrilling finale here in Stuttgart between these two sides.
61'
ZAKARIA FOR THE LEAD!
What a goal this is from Gladbach. Moments after the change and it's Stindl who plays Zakaria in behind the Stuttgart defence. He speeds beyond the home side's defence before slotting the ball past Kobel across goal. A stunning finish from the Switzerland internaitonal.

Rose follows Matarazzo in switching things up in attack with Plea on for Embolo.

GONZALEZ LEVELS THE SCORES!
He's been the bright spark for Stuttgart in attack all night and now he gets his goal. Gonzalez finishes what he starts as he finds Sosa in space on the left before charging into the box. Sosa spots his run and his perfect cross is met by Gonzalez's diving header past Sommer, the 3,000th Stuttgart goal in the Bundesliga.

FIRST CHANGE
A switch in personnel in attack with Kalajdzic on in place of Klimowicz.

BIG CHANCE!
A Stuttgart corner bounces through to Anton at the back post and his first-time shot is cleared off the line by Ginter. Sosa then fired the rebound high over the crossbar with Stuttgart continuing their bright start.

STUTTGART STRAIGHT OUT OF THE BLOCKS
The home side starting well here and putting on some early pressure around the Gladbach. Castro hits a cross from just inside the Gladbach area on the left like a shot, and it hits Elvedi before reaching Sommer just in front of his own goal.

BACK UNDERWAY!
No changes at the break here in Stuttgart as we get the second half underway.

STINDL BOOKED
The second Gladbach name in Felix Brych's book is the captain, as he brings down Gonzalez on the run.
42'
STINDL'S SEASON
The Gladbach captain has now scored as many goals this season as he did in the whole of last season, when he made 25 appearances. It's been a fantastic first half of 2020/21 for Stindl.
38'
GONZALEZ CLOSE AGAIN
A training-ground variant from the free-kick as the ball is lobbed into the path of Gonzalez on the run into the Gladbach area from Castro. He controls on the turn, but Sommer is off his line to grab the second ball ahead of him.
37'
ZAKARIA BOOKED
A challenge in midfield on Gonzalez and Zakaria takes a yellow card.
35'
STINDL SPOT ON
The Bundesliga's Player of the Month for December fires home a perfect penalty. He sends Kobel the wrong way, but also nails the ball into the top corner as well. No stopping that, and Stindl has his 9th of the season.
34'
GLADBACH PENALTY!
Sosa brings down Lainer as he raced onto Stindl's through-ball and Gladbach have a spot-kick.
30'
GONZALEZ NOT FAR AWAY!
The best chance of the game comes to the home side, with their South-Americans combining. Sosa curls a sumptuous cross into the Gladbach area from the left which Gonzalez rises to meet at the back post but he can't angle the ball down with his header.
26'
TACTICAL TUSSLE
Similar styles of play are cancelling each other out so far. It's been difficult for either side to open up the game and space across the pitch. Hofmann and Castro, two creative links in midfield, have been quiet so far as well.
23'
BOTH LOOKING FOR CONTROL
Stuttgart and Gladbach both looking to be in control of the ball in this game. Long balls have been forced due to solid defensive structures at either end of the pitch, too. Embolo holding up the play for Gladbach while Stuttgart have been searching for Silas and Sosa has outlets on either flank.
18'
NEUHAUS HAS A GO
A shot which stings the palms of Kobel in the Stuttgart goal. Neuhaus' drive from 20 yards is straight at the German goalkeeper, though.

15'
NOW GLADBACH'S TURN!
A chance opens up for Embolo in front of the Stuttgart goal as he slides past Anton, and he takes it quickly with a snap-shot which forces Kobel into action low to his right. Both goalkeepers making solid saves early on.
14'
FIRST CHANCES!
Gonzalez races past Elvedi down the right and finds Castro, who in turn lays the ball to Mangala on the edge of his shot forces a save from Sommer.
11'
TRICKERY FROM SILAS
Some ridiculous moves on show from the two-time Rookie of the Month winner, Silas. He stands up against Bensebaini before dribbling forward and switching feet to push the ball past the defender in a motion that would daze most. He's playing with real confidence right now.
9'
BATTLE IS ON
Embolo loves to latch onto long balls over the top of defences, using his pace and strength to beat defenders to the ball. He'll have an entertaining battle against Anton in the Stuttgart defence tonight, with Stenzel and Kempf in support.
6'
NEW PITCH
We're playing on a new pitch tonight in Stuttgart, which has come from just outside Mönchengladbach, incredibly enough. Hoping to provide Stuttgart - a passing team themselves - with more chances to play their slick football in the comfort of home.
3'
4-3-3 FOR THE FOALS
Having started on the right flank against Bayern, Zakaria is now playing centrally here. Stindl is leading the line, with Embolo to the left and Hofmann to the right.

Kick-off!
MATARAZZO EXCITED
Speaking to Sky in Germany before the game, Stuttgart head coach Pellegrino Matarazzo says he has the feeling of a Champions League game tonight. "We're in the late game, under the lights, against a great team and on a new pitch here in Stuttgart - we're buzzing for this game."
50 UP FOR ROSE
Rose will take charge of his 50th Bundesliga match. He has the highest win percentage of any Gladbach coach to have coached so many games (53 percent - 26 wins, 11 draws, 12 defeats).
INCENTIVE FOR SILAS?
Stuttgart's eight-goal top scorer Silas has scored just once at home in the Bundesliga, on the opening weekend of the season against Freiburg. The next goal Stuttgart score, however, will be their 3,000th in the German top-flight.

GROUNDHOG DAY FOR GLADBACH?
Gladbach have suffered 1-0 defeats in each of their last three trips to Stuttgart.
TALE OF THE TAPE
A win for Stuttgart (10th) would take them above Gladbach in the table (7th). Stuttgart have the best away record in the Bundesliga, but for the first time in the club's history, they have gone seven games at home without a win in the Bundesliga. Die Schwaben have also yet to celebrate a clean sheet at home.
STUTTGART TEAM NEWS
Stenzel, Sosa, Klimowicz and Gonzalez have all rotated into the team and performed superbly, with Pellegrino Matarazzo unwilling to tinker with his line-up too much. Coulibaly, Didavi and Kaladzjic are among those pushing for inclusion from the bench, however.
GLADBACH TEAM NEWS
Hofmann was the inspiration behind Gladbach's win over Bayern last weekend with his pair of goals and assist for Neuhaus, and the Germany midfielder once again supports Embolo, with Plea struggling to shake off a recent muscular complaint. Thuram is still suspended while Zakaria, employed as an extra midfielder last time out, keeps his place in an unusually attacking role ahead of Herrmann or Wolf.
