HUGE CHANCE FOR LEVERKUSEN!
Demirbay lofts the ball over the top for Wirtz to chase into the Hertha area and he plays a volley across goal. Alario can't reach it but the ball comes to the back post for Schick to hit, only for Jarstein to produce a big save to keep him out. That's Leverkusen's best chance so far.
52'
LUKEBAKIO DENIED!
It's Cunha who is racing forward through the middle and he lays Lukebakio in on goal before he slots past Grill. Felix Brych checks for a handball in the build-up from Cordoba and the goal is ruled out.

A loose touch from Bailey and he's booked four his foul on Guendouzi that follows.

IT'S THREE FOR HERTHA!
The Old Lady are singing loud and proud here with a three-goal lead inside 33 minutes. Cunha leads the break with Lukebakio collecting his pass and sending Zeefuik in on goal. His cutback finds Cordoba but he's snuffed out by the recovering defence, only for the Colombian to produce a moment of class with a Cruyff turn past Tah before smashing home from close range. Hertha flying!
30'
SCHICK AGAIN!
Another chance for Leverkusen's frontman as he and Tapsoba go for Demirbay's corner from the far side, but neither can get their head to the ball.
26'
CUNHA MAKES IT TWO!
Two chances, two goals and Hertha are in dreamland! Cunha is the man of the hour for the second goal. It's a counter with Tousart sending Lukebakio away down the right. He cuts back inside and finds Cunha, who skips past Tah with the blocking assist of Cordoba before providing a powerful finish low across Grill.
23'
DEMIRBAY HAS A GO
He's usually good from range, but Demirbay hits this shot from 25 yards high and wide. Leverkusen's chances have been more frequent than Hertha, but Jarstein remains untested.

SCHICK AGAIN!
Another headed chance for Schick goes begging as Frimpong crosses from the right to find the Leverkusen striker all alone in the middle, but he totally miscues his effort which then bounces well wide. Not the start he was hoping for.

SCHICK HEADS WIDE
A first chance of the game for the visitors as Demirbay's free-kick meets the head of Schick in the Hertha area, but he can't keep his effort on target across goal.

LUKEBAKIO DOWN
The Belgian is down in pain after a challenge from Wendell. Leverkusen put the ball out, albeit reluctantly, and he's back up again now.

AS EASY AS THAT!
Well, what a start to this game! Hertha's first attack comes down the left with Mittelstädt forcing Grill into an awkward save with a cross. It comes to Lukebakio at the back post, who finds Zeefuik in space. The full-back goes for goal with a beautiful curling shot which Grill could only watch float over him into the top corner.

THE TASK AT HAND FOR HERTHA
Hertha have had 21 points after 25 matches three times before. On each occasion, they have been relegated. For the capital club, with the current scoreline in Sinsheim with Mainz ahead against Hoffenheim, Hertha are second-bottom in the table and two points adrift of safety. It's tight at the bottom, and every point counts so much now.
BAILEY LOOKING TO RESTART 2021
Bailey has scored six and assisted six in 23 Bundesliga appearances so far this season, but has only had a direct hand in four goals in 11 matches since the turn of the year.

BAYER LATE THAN NEVER
Leverkusen have failed to score a first-half goal in their previous four Bundesliga outings. Their last five league goals have fallen on or after the 70th minute.
CAN DODI AND JHON BE MORE CLINICAL?
The Old Lady are averaging 10 shots per game under Dardai, but have only scored four times. They have yet to keep a clean sheet in his seven matches back at the club. It's Lukebakio and Cordoba starting in attack ahead of Cunha today.

HERTHA TEAM NEWS
A red card to Darida earned him a three-game suspension but fortunately for Dardai, Ascacibar is available again after missing the trip to Dortmund. He is only on the bench, with Guendouzi starting centre of the midfield, with Cunha providing support to Lukebakio and Cordoba after recovering from a thigh injury. Khedira is still ruled out with a calf injury, though, depriving Dardai of some valuable experience at the centre of the park.
LEVERKUSEN TEAM NEWS

Bender is fit enough for the bench, while Paulinho is not yet fit enough for the squad despite returning to training in midweek.
