ADDED TIME

We're now into two minutes of added time here in Dortmund with the home side comfortably heading for victory.
82'

ALMOST FOR FREIBURG!

High pressing from the away side sees Delaney lose possession in his own penalty area and Grifo is on hand to quickly shoot at goal, but Hitz can safely handle this one with the effort straight down his throat.

REYNA OFF TO STANDING OVATION

Superb from the American today, who has become the first 17-year-old to bag three assists in a single Bundesliga game since data collection began in 1992.

HAALAND CLOSE AGAIN!

Brandt plays Haaland behind the Freiburg defence and he smashes another fierce strike at goal. This one whips past the post with Müller diving across goal to make sure it stays out. He's in the mood for goals today.

DOUBLE CHANGE

Reus and Bellingham come off to be replaced by Julian Brandt and Thomas Delaney for the final 20 minutes.
66'

HAALAND MAKES IT THREE!

Gio Reyna has a hat-trick of assists and Erling Haaland has a brace. Delightful from the youngsters as Reyna latches onto a loose pass in the Freiburg midfield and flies forward. A simple pass forward for Haaland, and an unstoppable strike from the Dortmund No.9 past Müller make it 3-0.

GREAT CHANCE FOR REUS

Superb from Bellingham as he collects Guerreiro's pass on the left side of the box. He dribbles right and left before chipping the ball to the middle to meet Reus' run, but the BVB captain can't keep his header on target.

CAN MOOD

61'

HÖFLER FIRES WIDE

The Freiburg midfielder takes aim from range and miscues his shot, sending it well wide of Hitz and the Dortmund goal.
58'

BETTER FROM FREIBURG

The substitutes immediately bring a change for Freiburg in attack with Grifo and Jeong looking to combine. Still no genuine chances on goal to force Hitz into action, but plenty of time to change that if they can.
55'

FOUR CHANGES!

Streich making big changes as Jeong, Kwon, Grifo and Schlotterbeck all come on in place of Höler, Petersen, Sallai and Gulde.
52'

HUGE CHANCE FOR WITSEL

Almost a hat-trick of assists for Reyna as he's played into the Freiburg box and cuts the ball back across goal just before reaching the byline. Dortmund players are queuing up and Witsel is first in line, but the Belgian fires his shot high over the Freiburg crossbar from 10 yards out.

CAN MAKES IT TWO!

Reyna whips in a perfect corner and it floats towards the back post where Can is waiting, with Schmid letting his marker go free, and the Germany international powers a header over Müller and into the back of the net. Superb way to start the second half for BVB!

HEADING FOR THE BREAK

Dortmund in full control of this one still, keeping possession patiently in the Freiburg half. Reyna and Reus have been the problems for the visitors so far, with Bellingham and Witsel dictating the midfield as well.

TRADEMARK HAALAND

38'

MORE CHANCES!

Meunier is given the ball on the edge of the Freiburg box and he shoots low at goal. Müller saves, but the rebound falls to Hummels in front of goal and he gets a shot away, but Müller is up quickly to parry the second attempt wide of goal. Dortmund all over Freiburg here!
36'

ALMOST TWO FOR HAALAND!

The home side purring now as Reus plays the ball to Guerreiro in the box and his delightful flick sends it the way of Haaland, who shoots low across time with his first touch. Müller dives across but can't reach it, but safely watches at it trickles past the post.
34'

REYNA SO CLOSE!

Pure class from Reyna who collects the ball 25 yards from goal. He turns inside past one defender onto his left foot and skips past another with a burst of speed before clipping a shot back across goal, but watches it agonisingly dribble wide past Müller's goal. The American one fire so far.
34'

DORTMUND STAYING ON TOP

BVB able to have a host of numbers forward on the ball and they continue to win possession back from Freiburg high up the pitch.
31'

HAALAND FIRES HOME!

The first real bit of space is afforded to a Dortmund player when running at the Freiburg goal after Reus wins possession back from Höfler. Reyna picks it up and plays Haaland into the penalty area for a chance on goal. He goes low across goal with his shot, beating Müller to squeeze the ball inside the far post. A tidy way for Dortmund to go ahead!

EYES ON THE PRIZE

28'

BELLINGHAM HAS A GO

A nice turn past Santamaria in midfield from Bellingham gives him space to shoot at goal from 25 yards and he does. It's always rising over the crossbar, but the home fans happy to see the first attempt at goal from their side.
28'

BETTER FROM FREIBURG

A good few minutes of possession for the away side while making BVB work off the ball.
24'

STOUT DEFENDING

Freiburg's three-man backline has actually been a five-man defence for most of this game so far, with Dortmund on the ball. Freiburg not allowing their hosts time or space to work with the ball in midfield, keeping things compact.
20'

HUNT FOR CHANCES

We're still looking for our first attempt on goal in this game, with Dortmund looking the most likely to have it. Both defences looking strong.

REYNA EVERYWHERE!

The young American has made a bright start to this game. He's been picking up possession deep in midfield, out on the right and left wings and even in space between the Freiburg's midfield and defence. Favre will be wanting more of the same.

BVB ON TOP

The home side controlling the ball in the opening 10 minutes, but neither sides able to create a chance so far. Reyna is looking lively for Dortmund, dropping into midfield to pick up possession and run with it.

FOOTBALL WEATHER

It's cold, it's wet and it's dark in Dortmund. The perfect combination for an afternoon of football and we're just moments away.

FANS HERE ONCE AGAIN

With strict social distancing restrictions in place, fans have been gradually allowed back into Bundesliga stadiums at the start of the 2020/21 season. Today, almost 11,500 will be in attendance in Dortmund.

AND HERE COME BVB!

HERE COME FREIBURG!

LAST GAME BEFORE INTERNATIONAL BREAK

A reminder that these are the last Bundesliga games before the international break next week, so enjoy them while you can. With most international teams playing three matches over the coming 12 days or so, the Bundesliga will return for Matchday starting on Saturday, 17 October.

NO SANCHO, HERE COMES HAALAND?

Erling Haaland has scored 15 goals in 17 Bundesliga appearances to date, at a rate of one every 83 minutes. With Jadon Sancho missing in support of the Dortmund No.9, will Haaland be able to celebrate more goals at the Signal Iduna Park having already scored twice in his one home appearance so far this season?

INCENTIVES FOR SOMETHING SPECIAL FROM FREIBURG

Freiburg currently have four points on the board, but have never had more than six after three matches. Striker Nils Petersen has had a direct hand in three of Freiburg’s four goals so far this season (scoring two, assisting one), but the former Germany international has not won a game over BVB since joining the Black Forrest club.

DORTMUND TEAM NEWS

The big story from Lucien Favre's line-up is that both first-choice goalkeeper Roman Bürki and Jadon Sancho are missing today due to illness. The pair have been suffering from chest infections since early this week and missed the Supercup defeat in Munich on Wednesday. In their place come Marwin Hitz and club captain Marco Reus, making his first start of the season for the club.

FREIBURG TEAM NEWS

Just one change from Christian Streich's line-up last week which claimed a point against Wolfsburg as Manuel Gulde comes in to form a three-man defence, replacing Vincenzo Grifo. Baptiste Santamaria was impressive on his debut last time out and starts once again here today in central midfield.
