FIRST DORTMUND CHANGES

HAALAND'S RECORD
The Dortmund star has scored his 18th Bundesliga goal in his first 20 games. Only Uwe Seeler of Hamburg - in 1963/64 - scored more in his first 20 Bundesliga games (19).

HAALAND GOES ALONE!
Brandt finds the scorer of the second on the edge of the Schalke box and he skips past a defender and shoots rather than laying off Sancho. As always, it's a hard hit, but Rönnow saves across his goal.
67'
FRUSTRATION FOR SCHALKE
The away side are getting their chances on the ball - albeit rare - but are seeing them snuffed out by the Dortmund defence. Hummels using his experience to deal with the pace of Matondo so far.

HAALAND MAKES IT TWO!
Superb from Haaland and Sancho to double the lead. Haaland has the ball in midfield and plays it to the Englishman. He races forward and plays a perfect through ball for Haaland into the box past Nastasic. He then lofts the ball perfectly over Rönnow at an angle, sending the ball bouncing into the empty net. Haaland and Sancho jumping for joy!

A SCRAPP GOAL TO LEAD FOR BVB!
A corner is played short by Dortmund and tidy passing between Guerreiro and Brandt takes it into the box. Guerreiro shoots at goal and Rönnow saves, but the rebound falls loose in front of goal and Akanji is quickest to it to poke the ball home from close range.
54'
NEEDING A SPARK
Dortmund's attack hasn't ticked into gear yet in this second half with a lack of intensity so far. Plenty of possession, but no desire to push the game forward at pace. Changes to come from Favre?

SANCHO DOWN
The winger takes a knock from Paciencia as he dribbles into the box. It takes him down and the ball is lost, but no free-kick given by Felix Zwayer. A let-off for Schalke in a dangerous spot.
39'
REYNA IN THE WARS
The American has been fived three or four times already here and has a coming together with Mascarell which doesn't warrant a free-kick for either side, but it continues to build the tension here. Both sides all in for this one.
37'
DORTMUND BALL
The home side controlling all the possession in the last give minutes but unable to cut open the Schalke defence. Reyna is on the end of a Meunier cross and glances a header just wide at the back post. Favre will be pleased, but will want his side to make the most of this first half pressure.

DAHOUD OFF THE BAR!
What a hit from the midfielder, smashing the ball at goal from 30 yards. It's moving towards the top corner and Rönnow dives across but he can watch it clip the top of the upright and go over the bar.
29'
HAALAND IN BEHIND
Dortmund's No.9 found in behind the Schalke defence. He's forced wide to the right by Nastasic and goes for goal from a tough angle, but drags his shot across goal. Neither side able to conjure clear-cut chances so far.
25'
PACIENCIA SHOT BLOCKED
First attacking move from Schalke as Paciencia latches onto a ball over the Dortmund defence. He turns past one defender onto his left foot but his shot is blocked behind. Matondo flicks the ball at goal from yards out, and over the bar, but the offside flag is up on the far side.

HARD CHALLENGES
Schalke are here for a battle today as the next tackle comes in, this one from Thiaw on Reyna. He's not shown a yellow card but it's a warning for the teenage defender.
18'
GUERREIRO FIRES WIDE
A fiercely hit shot but another that just misses the mark. If things stay like this, it will be a matter of when not if Dortmund open the scoring with Schalke barely having a touch of the ball in the last 10 minutes or so.

MEUNIER FORCES A SAVE
Dortmund work the ball well into the box with Brandt finding Sancho, and he passes on to Haaland and then Meunier at the back post. He pokes the ball goalward from a tight angle and Rönnow is out quickly to save with an outstretched arm.
13'
MASCARELL CAUTIONED
Schalke lose the ball in midfield and their captain brings down Dahoud with a late challenge. Rash from the Spaniard, who will have to be careful now.
12'
HAALAND NOW
The first shot on target of the day falls to the Dortmund No.9. Brandt presses well to win the ball in the Schalke box and Haaland shoots with the loose ball. It's straight at Rönnow, but the home pressure is building.
11'
SANCHO HAS A GO
Pressure builds up around the Schalke box as Akanji finds Sancho in space on the left. He takes aim from 25 yards but his shot is always rising over the bar.
10'
ONE-WAY TRAFFIC
It's all Dortmund here so far in terms of possession but Schalke look happy with that. Manuel Baum's side will work with the counter-attack and look to frustrate the Dortmund attack.
7'
FLUID IN ATTACK
Sancho getting on the ball early here, dropping deep to do so. He's looking for Reyna and Brandt across the pitch who are constantly switching positions while Haaland looks to run in behind. A handful for the Schalke defence.

LOOKING FOR CALM
Dortmund have controlled the ball in the early minutes here. Schalke are pressing high up the pitch and doing it well, not making things easy. As always, it's an intense game from the off.

FAVRE CONFIRMS BACK FOUR
Speaking to Sky in Germany before the game, Dortmund's head coach has confirmed the home side will line-up with a four-man defence. "It's something we worked on in the summer break and we want to try something new today." That means Delaney is in defensive midfield next to Dahoud, with Meunier and Guerreiro playing as full-backs.

DORTMUND TEAM NEWS
We'll have to wait and see exactly how BVB line up today with the potential for a switch in set-up. It could be a three or four-man defence, with Mats Hummels and Manuel Akanji the only centre-backs involved. Thomas Delaney will either line up in defence or midfield, and that will be our sign. Meanwhile, Marco Reus is on the bench with an attack of Jadon Sancho, Julian Brandt and Gio Reyna supporting Erling Haaland in attack. Mahmoud Dahoud is also in to start, with both Axel Witsel and Jude Bellingham on the bench.
SCHALKE TEAM NEWS
Manuel Baum has made some defensive movements for today. Malick Thiaw is in to start in defence, alongside Salif Sane and Matija Nastasic. Meanwhile, Rabbi Matondo partners Goncalo Paciencia in attack looking to make the most of his blistering pace. Omar Mascarell, Nabil Bentaleb and Amine Harit make up the Royal Blue midfield.

WATCH: WHERE WILL THE DERBY BE WON AND LOST?
SCHALKE TEAM NEWS
Schalke collected their first point of the season just in time for the derby trip to the Signal Iduna Park. Eintracht Frankfurt loanee Goncalo Paciencia came off the bench to head his side level against Union Berlin on Sunday, ending a seven-game losing run, but Manuel Baum is still looking for his first victory with the club - which would also be their first in 20 games. Form does tend to go out of the window in these derbies, with both sides enjoying two victories in their last five meetings. That second-half header from Paciencia could earn him a start this weekend ahead of Vedad Ibisevic, while Mark Uth is working his way back after a muscular injury. Kilian Ludewig made an impressive debut at right-back and should keep his place. Suat Serdar and Ozan Kabak are among those missing.
BVB TEAM NEWS
Dortmund will be looking to build on their domestic form when they come up against Revierderby rivals Schalke on Saturday evening. A 1-0 win at Hoffenheim last time out - with Haaland and captain Marco Reus coming off the bench to combine for the only goal of the game - made it three Bundesliga wins from four. A disappointing defeat followed in their UEFA Champions League group stage opener at Lazio on Tuesday, though, despite Haaland scoring his 22nd goal in just 25 appearances for BVB. The 20-year-old forward - who found the net in his side's 4-0 defeat of the Royal Blues in this fixture last season - will almost certainly return to the starting line-up this weekend. Reus scored his first of the season in that Hoffenheim win and started at the Stadio Olympico in midweek, but his fitness level and the fact that Gio Reyna was only a late substitute in Rome could see the American start ahead of the Dortmund No.11. Elsewhere, Manuel Akanji is back after isolating following the international break and should slot into a three-man backline alongside Mats Hummels and a fit-again Lukasz Piszczek.
