WATCH: LEWANDOWSKI: "ANOTHER GREAT PERFORMANCE"
Full-time

FIVE-STAR BAYERN
Jamal Musiala puts the cherry on the cake for Bayern, who were unplayable today, inflicting a first defeat of the season on Frankfurt.

LAST-GASP FROM NEUER
Sarr sells Neuer very short with a powder-puff header. Frankfurt's Bas Dost sticks out a boot to direct the ball past the advancing keeper, but doesn't follow it through. Neuer races back, somehow hooking clear on the slide. Dost must have forgotten who he was facing...

INSANE!
Arjen Robben-esque from Leroy Sane. Back after a two-game lay-off, the Germany international collects from Sarr on the right, ghosts inside of Ilsanker and drives into the far corner.

TRIPLE CHANGE
Lewandowski, Müller and Costa make way for Sane, Choupo-Moting and Martinez. What depth this Bayern squad has!

SHOULD BE FOUR
Lewandowski starts this particular move in his own box. Coman tears away up the left and crosses for Hernandez of all people. All he has to do is hit the target, but the Bayern defender sends it wide from six yards out.

LEWY GETS HIS HAT-TRICK!
There it is! Lewadowski brings up his third of the afternoon, and 10th in five league games this season. Sarr instigates the move, which passes through the midfield on its way out left to Costa. The cross is a peach, and the finish is expert-level stuff.
57'
COSTA FEET
Douglas Costa leaves Stefan Ilsanker in his wake with a fine bit of footwork, before winning and taking a corner that Trapp beats clear. The Brazilian looks like a fine re-addition to this Bayern team.
55'
COMAN!
Trapp flies to Frankfurt's rescue again, this time repelling a Coman stinger. Bayern going through the gears, here...

MADE IN FRANCE
Hernandez plays a quick give and go with Coman in the Frankfurt box. He's off balance as he lets fly, but still draws an important save from Trapp.
47'
FRESH LEGS
Adi Hütter has rolled the dice, hooking Daichi Kamada and Steven Zuber. He obviously feels the flanks are Frankfurt's best route back into the game as Amin Younes moves out to the left, with Timothy Chandler taking up a position on the opposite wing.

THE LEWANDOWSKI SHOW
Two Robert Lewandowski goals have Bayern going top of the table, if things stay as they are. It's a familiar tale for Bayern, who have bounced back in style after losing Alphonso Davies to a serious-looking ankle injury early on.

HERE COME BAYERN
Hernandez plays Müller into the box. He pings the ball towards the penalty spot, but Trapp bats it to safety. Only a matter of time before Bayern add a third...

LASER-GUIDED KIMMICH
The referee consults the VAR following a potential deliberate handball against Makoto Hasebe, but rightly awards the decision in favour of the Frankfurt defender, who was going to ground when Costa's cross caught slapped his palm. Bayern soon win another corner, which Kimmich takes and very nearly plants on the head of Lewandowski. Is there a better passer of the ball right now? No, didn't think so...

LEWANDOWSKI DENIED
Honestly, watching Lewandowski today you'd think he was a natural left-footer. He sweeps a Lucas Hernandez cut-back through a ruck of white shirts on his supposed weaker side. Trapp spills it, but the loose ball is hooked away before Müller can pounce.
36'
SILVA CHANCE
Andre Silva rises highest in the Bayern area, but can't direct his header on target. Promise for the visitors; a warning for Bayern. Hansi Flick's face says it all.

OVER FROM LEWY!
He's human, after all! Lewandowski takes on Goretzka's lay-off first time, only to shank high and wide. He laughs it off, but knows he should have at least hit the target.

LEWANDOWSKI AT THE DOUBLE
Costa's cross is bound for Lewandowski, but Hasebe gets a touch to send it behind. Kimmich pings the ensuing corner onto the head of the Bayern No.9, who steers an unstoppable downward header into the net. Trapp didn't move.

LEWANGOALSKI
That's eight goals in five matches for Lewandowski this league season. He had nine at the close of play on Matchday 5 last term, finishing the 2019/20 campaign on a league-high 34.
11'
WHO ELSE BUT LEWANDOWSKI?
A brilliant goal to settle the nerves. A long punt is flicked on to Kingsley Coman, who does really well to retain possession. Combining with Thomas Müller, he turns towards goal and shifts the ball into the box for Lewandowski, the Pole setting himself and slamming into the bottom corner with his left foot. Stunning finish - 1-0 Bayern!
8'
END TO END
Frankfurt power forward, with Silva leading the charge. He does really well to hold up the ball and find Daichi Kamada, whose goalbound shot is blocked by David Alaba. Bayern go straight up the other end, where Kevin Trapp is on hand to pluck Robert Lewandowski's cross away from Thomas Müller.

AGONY FOR DAVIES
Davies goes down in agony after getting his foot stuck in the turf, twisting his left ankle in the process. He's in tears as the physios assist him off the field, unable to put weight on the injured foot. Looks like a nasty one. Lucas Hernandez is on.

BAYERN BUOYANT
Treble winners last term, Bayern made the continent stand up and take notice once more in midweek. Hansi Flick's side thrashed Atletico Madrid 4-0 on home turf, four days after recording a 4-1 win at promoted Arminia Bielefeld, taking their winning tally to 32 from a possible 34 competitive matches in 2020, with a whopping 112 goals scored.
FRANKFURT FLYING
Eintracht have made a solid start to 2020/21, and are one of four remaining unbeaten Bundesliga teams. If leaders RB Leipzig slip up against Berlin, the Eagles can climb to the top of the table with a win.
GOALS EXPECTED
There have been at least three goals scored in the last eight meetings between Bayern and Frankfurt. Bayern won the corresponding league fixture 5-2 and triumphed 2-1 in last season's DFB Cup semi-finals, but not before suffering a heavy 5-1 loss in Frankfurt that cost Niko Kovac his job as head coach. On the final day of the previous campaign, they clinched the title with a 5-0 rout on home turf, having also run out 3-0 and 5-0 winners in Frankfurt and the Supercup. Consider that revenge for their 3-1 loss in the 2017/18 DFB Cup final, which fell a month after a 4-1 Bayern win in Germany's financial capital.
COCO REUNITED
Costa starts a Bundesliga match for the first time since the 1-0 win over Darmstadt on 6 May 2017. The Brazilian had Franck Ribery for company on the opposite flank on that particular occasion, but his wing work with another Frenchman, Kingsley Coman, also caught the eye before his switch to Juventus. What can CoCo come up with at the Allianz Arena today...?
FRANKFURT TEAM NEWS
It's as expected from Adi Hütter, with just once enforced change after last weekend's 1-1 draw with Cologne. Lucas Tuta-Melo makes his full Bundesliga debut in place of captain David Abraham, who is unavailable.
BAYERN TEAM NEWS
Bouna Sarr and Jerome Boateng are rotated in at the expense of Benjamin Pavard and Niklas Süle, with Lucas Hernandez shifting inside to accommodate Alphonso Davies at left-back. Douglas Costa makes his first Bundesliga start after returning to the club on loan from Juventus, and there's a place on the bench for Leroy Sane following injury. Serge Gnabry is unavailable.
