HAALAND SCORES!

Like he's never been away! Haaland stretches to toe home Brandt's peach of a cross. Fifty goals in 50 games - no player has reached that tally in so few games!

DODI AGAIN!

Wolfsburg are monopolising possession as Lukebaki cuts into the box and stings the palms of Kobel.
79'

FREE HEADER!

Wolfsburg should be level! Lukebakio's only three yards out as he rises to meet a corner, but sends his header over.
74'

Substitution

73'

HAALAND!

First touch from Haaland is a low shot from 18 yards that makes Pervan work. What an introduction that would have been!
73'

HAALAND'S BACK!

Haaland replaces goalscorer Malen, after 39 days out. He makes his 50th Bundesliga appearance - will he get a 50th goal?
67'

CHANCES

Lukebakio springs to life, but Kobel reacts brilliantly to push the shot away. Waldschmidt's first to the follow-up, but Akanji puts his body on the line to block.
56'

WHAT A GOAL!

Reus slides the ball into the feet of Malen. He still has it all to do on the edge of the area, but makes it look easy as he skips past two Wolfsburg players, before firing low and hard to Pervan's right. That's his third goal in as many games - and the best yet!

VRANCKX!

Wolfsburg counter, with Vranckx scampering over halfway. The ball's initially caught under his feet, but he recovers to cut inside and fire goalwards from 20 yards. Kobel springs to his left to beat it away.
48'

OFF THE POST!

Bright start from Dortmund as Brandt and Malen combine to tee up Schulz, who volleys against the upright from 18 yards. Dortmund ramp up the pressure and win a corner, but Hummels' overhead attempt is blocked.

TEAMS BACK OUT

Wolfsburg re-emerge following the half-time break to the tune of Metallica's Enter Sandman, as is tradition in these parts. Dortmund enter the pitch to a few jeers. Hold on to your hats...

OVER!

Good spell for Wolfsburg in the closing stages of the first half. Dortmund are hemmed in, but Vranckx's 18-yard strike is off target.

CAUTION

Nmecha is booked after tangling with Can. Wolfsburg are second best right now.
36'

DORTMUND ARE LEVEL!

Can double-checks with Reus, in case he fancies it. The Dortmund captain's still hobbling, so lets the midfielder step up. Pervan goes one way, Can slots it the other - 1-1!

REUS SET-PIECE

Lukebakio's penalised for handball on the right-hand side of the Wolfsburg area. Reus whips it in, landing a cross-shot on the roof of the net.
24'

BAKU AGAIN

Schulz does really well to intercept at the feet of Lukebakio, but Wolfsburg come again with Baku. The cross is whipped into the danger zone, where Hummels gives Kobel a shout and the keeper claims.
21'

RIGHT-WING THREAT

Wolfsburg continue to target Schulz at left-back. Baku and Lukebakio combine to great effect, with Kobel at full stretch to claw the latter's teasing cross away from Weghorst.
19'

ANOTHER WOLFSBURG CHANCE

Wofsburg expose Dortmund's defensive fragilities once again. Arnold's the catalyst in midfield, his pass setting Lukebakio loose. The Belgian is allowed to travel the length of the half, but his right-footed effort from inside the area is straight at Kobel.
17'

WEGHORST!

Weghorst delays his run as a ball's clipped over the Dortmund defence. Meunier's just playing him onside as he controls with his chest, before stinging the palms of Kobel on the turn. Very open game at the Volkswagen-Arena.
16'

MALEN!

Maken on the right-hand side this time. The Dutchman shifts away from his marker, before sending a dipping strike straight at Pervan.
13'

DAHOUD!

Lovely football from Dortmund. Meunier brings a ball down on the edge of the area, before laying it off. Reus helps it on to Dahoud, who fires narrowly wide of Pervan's left-hand post with the aid of a deflection. BVB enjoying a good spell, here.
9'

HEY, ARNOLD!

Maxi Arnold whips in successive in-swinging corners. Each time he's looking for Brooks at the near post; each time Kobel is equal to it. Strong keeping.
6'

MALEN EFFORT

Donyell Malen sizes up a third goal in as many games, but John Brooks comes across to make a last-ditch block.
4'

WEGHORST STRIKES FIRST!

Wolfsburg survive a scare as Thomas Meunier goes within a whisker of getting his head to a Julian Brandt free-kick. The Wolves go straight up the other end with Dodi Lukebakio, who slips in Ridle Baku on the overlap. No one's with him as he crosses for Wout Weghorst, who stoops in the six-yard box to steer the ball home with his chest.

WATCH: DORTMUND 2-1 STUTTGART

Marco Reus scored late as Dortmund extended their winning start on home soil under Marco Rose to a club record seven matches.

EUROPEAN HANGOVER?

Both sides were beaten in UEFA Champions League action in midweek. Dortmund lost to Sporting Lisbon, a result that put last-16 qualification beyond them and sends them into the Europa League. Wolfsburg went down 2-0 to Sevilla, but can still qualify for the knockouts with a win over Lille in their final fixture.

THE TABLE

Dortmund climbed to second last weekend, following their 2-1 win over VfB Stuttgart. BVB made the most of Bayern's shock loss to Augsburg to move to within a point of the leaders. Victory at the Volkswagen-Arena will take them top, for a couple of hours at least, with Bayern at home to Bielefeld in the late game. Wolfsburg are unbeaten in five competitive matches since Florian Kohfeldt came in as coach, but did things the hard way against Bielefeld on Matchday 12, coming from 2-0 to draw. The Wolves begin the weekend in sixth, a point outside the top four.

WATCH: THE ERLING HAALAND STORY

Haaland led the Bundesliga scoring charts with nine goals in six appearances, prior to his injury, but has since been overtaken by Bayern counterpart Robert Lewandowski (14). With 49 goals in as many Bundesliga games, the 21-year-old is poised to become the youngest and quickest player to post a half century of top-flight strikes.

MORE ON THOSE TEAMS

The big news is the return of Erling Haaland to the Dortmund bench following seven competitive matches out with a hip flexor injury. Jude Bellingham's out and Axel Witsel rested, with Emre Can and Mo Dahoud starting, while Nico Schulz deputises for the injured Raphael Guerreiro at left-back. Wolfsburg are without first-choice goalkeeper Koen Casteels for the second game in a row, so it's Pavao Pervan between the posts. Jerome Roussillon continues at left-back in place of Paulo Otavio, while Dodi Lukebakio is preferred to Yannick Gerhardt in attack.
