FULL-TIME: LEIPZIG 3-1 COLOGNE
Leipzig climb above Cologne, and up to fourth, their season very much back on track.

CONSOLATION GOAL
Gulacsi gets fingertips to Ljubicic's low drive. Lemperle towers above his marker to head in Uth's ensuing corner, but that's too little, too late for Cologne.
89'
MUKIELE!
Leipzig turn the screw as Forsberg feeds Mukiele, but he can't find the target with his effort.
85'
WIDE!
Lemperle and Ostrak are on for Cologne. The former's involved immediately, setting up Ljubicic for a driving run and shot wide of the Leipzig goal. Still Gulacsi hasn't had a save to make.

STILL FIGHTING
Cologne continue to plug away. Andersson holds the ball up in the box and lays it off for Uth, whose shot is blocked. Leipzig have taken their foot off the gas.

ANGELINO MAKES WAY
Angelino's impressed at left-wing-back. Mukiele's on, underlining Leipzig's strength in depth.

SIDE NETTING
Cologne are not done yet as Hector hangs up a cross. Andersson beats Gvardiol to it, but can only plant his header into the side netting.

LEIPZIG SWITCH
Szoboszlai and Simakan are on for Laimer and Klostermann respectively. Leipzig showing their strength in depth - is there a squad richer in quality in the Bundesliga?

NKUNKU!
Laimer wrestles back possession and drives forward. Nkunku collects the ball in the box, before forcing Schwäbe into evasive action at this near-post.
66'
ANDERSSON!
Cologne's best chance by a mile as Schmitz crosses for Andersson. He sends his effort wide from 12 yards, though.
65'
DOUBLE CHANGE
You can tell Silva's disappointed to make way without having taken a bite of the goal-scoring pie. Not that he did a bad job in the lone striker's role. Olmo is replaced by Forsberg, with another 60 minutes or so under his belt following that injury-hit start to the campaign. Not to menton a belting goal, and smart assist!

FRESH IDEAS

ANGELIN-GOAL!
Leipzig are running away with it! The hosts break with Nkunku, who threads a pass into the feet of Olmo in the box. He expertly steers the ball towards the penalty spot, where Angelino arrives to sweep home. Tedesco's boys are going fourth - for the first time this season at that!
55'
ANOTHER LEIPZIG BEAUTY!
Leipzig double their lead. The hosts work the ball from front to back, and back again. Olmo collects in a central position, a good 20 yards from goal. The black shirts don't get anywhere near him, and he arrows low and hard into the bottom corner. What a way to open his account for the campaign!

HERE WE GO AGAIN!
Cologne kick us off this second half. Can the visitors lay a glove on Leipzig, who are going fourth as things stand?

HALF-TIME: LEIPZIG 1-0 COLOGNE
Silva with a great bit of skill to fashion a chance for Henrichs inside the Cologne box. He doesn't realise he has Skhiri for company, though, and the final chance of the half is gone. Leipzig on top and ahead, thanks to a quite brilliant Nkunku goal.

GVARDIOL IN THE WAY
Schmitz is allowed to travel a long way up the Cologne right. His cross finds Duda, who shapes to shoot before feeding Thielmann to his right. He aims low, but Gvardiol hooks the cross behind for a corner that comes to nothing.
36'
SECOND COLOGNE BOOKING
Hübers gets in a real pickle as Olmo threatens to break clear. He cynically drags the Leipzig man to the deck, earning a booking for his trouble.

LEIPZIG COME AGAIN
Silva's in for Leipzig. He has Nkunku to his left, but tries to take on his man and loses out. Big chance wasted.
25'
NKUNKU!
Superb goal for the lead! Olmo wins a free-kick after being brought down on the edge of the D. Nkunku bides his time, before clipping the set-piece over the Cologne wall and beyond Schwäbe's reach. That's his 11th Bundesliga goal of the season, and perhaps his best yet!
24'
CHANCE!
Angelino feeds the run of Nkunku into the Cologne box. He slides the ball into the six-yard box, where Olmo and Silva are waiting, but Skhiri sweeps it clear.
22'
DENIED
Timo Hübers is called into action to block a low Klostermann cross. Brilliant vision from Henrichs in the build-up. Leipzig are beginning to find pockets of space in the final third.
19'
OPENING
Angelino picks off an errant pass out from the back. The shot's on as Olmo collects in the box, but he goes for the cut-back and Cologne clear before Silva can pounce. A belated offside flag is raised soon after.
16'
ORBAN THE MAN
Cologne attempt to play over the top for Andersson, but Orban tracks him all the way and wins his challenge. Superb defending by the long-serving Leipzig defender.
13'
SPECULATIVE
Angelino gets his bearings all wrong, heading behind for a needless corner. Kainz's delivery is cleared as far as Duda, who blazes over from the edge of the area.
9'
YELLOW PERIL
Gvardiol draws the foul from Thielmann, who goes into the book. He'll have to watch his step now.

GVARDIOL IN THE THICK OF IT
Strong start from Leipzig as Olmo wins a corner. Gvardiol is up for the first one, connecting with Angelino's cross. Another corner is the result from which Gvardiol takes a nasty blow to the head. The physios are on, but he should be OK.

THE LEIPZIG PRESS
Leipzig are asking all the questions. Cologne can't get out of their own half. Tedesco spoke before the game about stopping the visitors from getting the ball into the wide areas - he'll be happy with this.

FRESH-FACED COLOGNE
The absence of veteran striker Modeste has had a knock-on effect on the team's average age: at just 26 years and six months, this is the youngest Cologne starting line-up this season.
A GLIMPSE OF THIELMANN'S MAGIC
Jan Thielmann starts for Cologne today and the 19-year-old will shoulder much of the attacking responsibility in the absence of Anthony Modeste. Not that that'll be a problem for the youngster: he provided a wonderful assist for the Frenchman last week, as seen in the tweet below...

EVENLY POISED
Leipzig have had the upper hand overall in this fixture, winning four of the nine Bundesliga meetings to date. However, Cologne have held their own of late and are unbeaten in the last three, winning one and drawing two, including a 0-0 stalemate on their last visit to the Red Bull Arena.

MORE ON THOSE TEAMS
Nordi Mukiele and Kevin Kampl drop out of the side, in place of Benjamin Henrichs and Amadou Haidara. Mohamed Simakan is only fit enough for the Leipzig bench, meanwhile. Tyler Adams and Dominik Szoboszlai are also among the substitutes. As for Anthony Modeste-less Cologne, Jan Thielmann partners Sebastian Andersson in attack. Midfielders Salih Özcan and Ondrej Duda are the only other changes to the side that beat Freiburg.

BAUMGART WARY OF 'DANGEROUS' LEIPZIG
"Leipzig have been getting better and better under Tedesco, they have a clearer game plan and have picked up some good results of late," warned the returning Baumgart. "Anyone who saw the Bayern game will have noticed how dangerous they are. They've always had good individuals, and now they're finding their feet on the pitch. We have to find answers to that."

PERSONNEL TALK
Leipzig have Tyler Adams, Mohamed Simakan, Kevin Kampl and Dominik Szoboszlai available following knocks. Marcel Halstenberg is the only absentee, though he is training again. Other than Modeste, January loan signing Julian Chabot is Cologne's only confirmed absentee.
FANS IN ATTENDANCE
There'll be 15,000 supporters at the Red Bull Arena as Germany gradually lifts measures to limit the spread of the coronavirus. "It’s fantastic news for us; we finally have that feeling of true football back," commented Leipzig and Germany defender Lukas Klostermann. "The stadium is starting to fill up against slowly and we’re getting a taste of the fans being here once more. I hope that will give us a boost."
