FULL-TIME! HERTHA 1-6 LEIPZIG
Leipzig end the weekend back in fourth place after an emphatic win in the capital. Hertha got themselves back on level terms early in the second period, but the game turned on Kempf’s red card and Nkunku’s subsequent penalty. There was only ever going to be one winner after that.

HERTHA HIT FOR SIX!
Just brilliant from Leipzig. Olmo weights his pass to perfection. Poulsen is onto it, and nonchalantly chips the ball over the advancing Schwolow. Time for a seventh?

RED CARD RESCINDED
Ascacibar is shown a red card after catching Poulsen late. There's no malice in that, though, and the decision is downgraded upon VAR review.

HAMMER-DO HAIDARA!
Leipzig are taking Hertha to school! Adams lays the ball off for Haidara, who arrows a vicious hit past Schwolow from 18 yards. Arguably the best goal of the bunch.

ADAMS ON
Henrichs' final action is to spin his marker and whip a teasing cross into the box. It's hooked away, before Adams comes on to take his place. Laimer moves to the left-hand side of the defence to occupy the Henrichs role, with Adams setting up shop in central midfield.

HERTHA CHANGES
Ex-Leipzig forward Selke's on for Richter. There's also a debut for 18-year-old Berlin native Anton Kade. The anonymous Belfodil makes way.

OLMO!!!
It does indeed get worse for Hertha. Haidara picks off a loose pass and threads a superb ball into the feet of Silva in the box. He's denied by Schwolow at close range, but there's Olmo to control the rebound and scoop high into the roof of the net.

CH-CH-CH-CHANGES
Nkunku's done his job. He's scored six times in as many games. Silva's on in his stead. Maolida replaces Jovetic for the stricken hosts.

NKUNKU AT THE DOUBLE!
Lovely one-touch football from Leipzig. Poulsen guides a first-time pass into the channel for Olmo. He slides it across for Nkunku, who steals in between two Hertha shirts to fire in his 13th Bundesliga goal of the season. This could get ugly for 10-man Hertha...
64'
CLINICAL!
Nkunku absolutely nails his spot-kick into the bottom corner. Schwolow went the right way, but that had too much power and inch-perfect precision. That's how to take a penalty!
62'
PENALTY!
Kempf is shown a straight red card for denying Nkunku a clear goal-scoring opportunity. The Frenchman will take the penalty...

DOUBLE CHANGE
Tedesco rolls the dice. Olmo, who has been in fine form following injury, replaces Szboszlai. Laimer, another nearing his best following his injury, replaces Forsberg.

GULACSI AT FULL STRETCH
It's Jovetic again for Hertha. The Montenegrin gets right behind his low strike, but Gulacsi is down fast to push it to safety. Superb save.
52'
SZOBOSZ-WIDE!
Leipzig respond in kind as Szoboszlai smashes wide of Schwolow's far post from distance. The Hungarian certainly has spectacular goals in his locker - good effort!
50'
BIG CHANCE!
Richter feeds Jovetic, who spoons over from eight yards out. Huge chance spurned by the well-travelled forward.
48'
JOVETIC LEVELS!
Hertha restore parity early in the second half. Jovetic carries the ball a good 40 yards, before firing home from inside the box, a deflection off Gvardiol leaving Gulacsi with no chance.

LEIPZIG CHANGE
Simakan took a knock late in the first half, and can't continue. Klostermann is on on the right-hand side of the Leipzig defence.

GULACSI DOES HIS JOB
Jovetic swings a boot at the ensuing free-kick, forcing a relatively routine save out of Gulacsi. Encouraging signs for Hertha, though.

GVARDIOL FORTUNATE
The hosts spring to life as Darida sends Richter through on goal. There's a hint of Gvardiol being the last man as he bundles the Hertha forward to ground, but Simakan is close by so it's just the yellow.

RASH CHALLENGE
Richter goes in studs-up on Orban. That's a clear booking. Orban needs some TLC.

LEIPZIG LEAD!
The visitors get the goal their dominance deserves. Poulsen does really well to control a through-ball and turn his marker. He finds Henrichs, whose initial effort is blocked. The Leipzig full-back then fires home on the rebound, with the aid of a big deflection off Gechter.

Nkunku carves open the Hertha defence with a surging run across the box. He slides in Mukiele, who drives narrowly wide of the far post.

Leipzig's formidable French forward, Christopher Nkunku, was on target again in with a spectacular header in Die Roten Bullen's 2-2 midweek, Europa League play-off draw against Spanish side Real Sociedad. The 24-year-old now has 20 goals across all competitions so far this season and will be keen to add to his 11 strikes in the Bundesliga in the German capital tonight.

TEDESCO WARY
"Every Bundesliga match is important - we can't afford to and don't want to take any game lightly." So said Leipzig coach Domenico Tedesco, whose team have been climbing up the standings in recent weeks. With five wins and a draw in their last seven games in all competitions, morale is high among a team chasing a top-four finish. That said, the Leipzig boss warned of the dangers of facing a wounded Hertha today. "[They] are in a difficult position at the moment, but their team does show in moments just what they're capable of," Tedesco said.
KORKUT TARGETS ATTACKING STRATEGY
Hertha coach Tayfun Korkut has called on his side to be "brave" ahead of their tricky Matchday 23 encounter against a Leipzig side enjoying a new lease of life under Domenico Tedesco. "We want to play the game on the front foot, keep creating as many shooting opportunities as possible," Korkut insisted. Winless in their last six games in all competitions, the Old Lady will have to be at their best as they chase a first win in 2022.
