WHAT A GAME
That was an absolute joy to watch, unless you were a Dortmund fan. Bochum raced in front, taking a two-goal lead after just eight minutes before Erling Haaland hit a hat-trick to put the hosts in front but the away side wouldn't be finished off. Instead, they claimed all three points as Locadia and Pantovic made it 4-3 in their favour. A quite stunning game of football that secures Bochum's safety and means Dortmund must wait to be confirmed as runners-up.

BOCHUM BACK IN FRONT
Have Bochum stolen all three points? They do receive a penalty this time - again for handball - and Pantovic plants it into the back of the net to make it 4-3. With five minutes to hold on, can they do it? You feel like this game still has goals in it...

BOCHUM ARE LEVEL
Wow. What a game, what a goal. Locadia brings the ball down beautifully in the box, turns Akanji and fires home to bring Bochum back on level terms. That is a beauty.

This time it's the Bochum players that are asking for a penalty for handball in the box but there's nothing doing this time around.

ALL CHANGE UP FRONT
Bochum have now changed their entire front-three. Can Antwi-Adjei, Locadia or Zoller now salvage something for their side?

WASTED CHANCE
Bochum have the perfect opportunity to make it 3-3 but Antwi-Adjei, just on as a substitute, doesn't pull the trigger and neither Asano or Polter can convert from close range as Dortmund get back in numbers.

IMPRESSIVE FULL DEBUT
Bynoe-Gittens is removed shortly after Dortmund take the lead and the teenager can be very pleased with his work today. His ball to Reus in the lead-up to the third was a particularly impressive pre-assist and, clearly, this lad has a very bright future ahead.

HAALAND HAS HIS HAT-TRICK
It's certainly been coming. Dortmund are now in front and Haaland has his third in fairly fortunate circumstances. Bynoe-Gittens expertly feeds Reus, who squares to Haaland and his left-footed effort rebounds off his right knee and lands into the far corner.

HAALAND DENIES
A lovely move from Dortmund results in Bellingham cushioning the ball into Haaland's path but the Norwegian's left-footed strike is well saved by Riemann. The Bochum 'keeper is having a great game.

IS THAT RIEMANN OR NEUER?
It looks for moment that Dortmund are through on goal but Riemann comes racing off his line, playing his sweeper 'keeper role perfectly to clear the lines. Neuer-esque.

PICKED UP WHERE WE LEFT OFF
The first five minutes of this half have been excellent and Bochum are again pressing high up the pitch and looking threatening early on. Both sides going for it.

ALL LEVEL AT HALF TIME
Well, what a half of football. Bochum raced into an early two-goal lead with goals from Polter and Holtmann but two Haaland penalties - both for VAR-spotted handballs in the box - pulled Dortmund level. It's been a great watch so far and we can now catch our breath a little before what promises to be a thrilling second half in the "little Revierderby".

BYNOE-GITTENS WATCH
The English youngster has far from looked out of place so far and he's had some nice touches. He may not have produced anything too eye catching so far but it's been a very encouraging start from the 17-year-old.

Another fine save from Riemann as his rock solid left hand keeps out Wolf at the near post. At this rate, Dortmund will be in front before the break.

BOCHUM ON THE ROPES
This has been some turnaround from Dortmund, who have been on top ever since that second Bochum goal went in. Can the visitors stun the Signal Iduna Park once again?

DORTMUND ARE LEVEL
Haaland won the penalty this time around and he, again, makes sure from 12-yards as his 20th goal of the season draw his team level. He went to the opposite corner this time around, sending Riemann the wrong way for a second time.

EXCELLENT SAVE
Dortmund have had their foot on the throttle since Haaland's penalty and Reus is the man that this time should have equalised. Riemann comes off his line quickly to meet the Dortmund captain and parries over the bar but if Reus puts it either side of the 'keeper then it's 2-2. Bochum looking exposed suddenly.

HAALAND CLOSING IN ON CLEAN SWEEP
Haaland's 19th Bundesliga goal of the campaign - and first against Bochum - means he has now scored against 18 of the 20 teams he has faced in the Bundesliga. Only VfB Stuttgart and Arminia Bielefeld have kept him out.

Brandt is fed through by Bellingham and turns nicely inside his marker but the Germany international can't get the ball out of his feet and it's an easy save for Riemann. Dortmund are turning the screw now.

SPOT ON FROM HAALAND
And Dortmund do have a way back in the game. It's a bit fortuitous, but they'll take it. Haaland steps up and sends Riemann the wrong way for his 19th league goal of the campaign. An incredible game so far.

WHAT. A. GOAL
Bochum are absolutely flying at the Signal Iduna Park and are now 2-0 up inside eight minutes. Holtmann is fed by Asano on the left edge of the Dortmund box and the former curls a sumptuous finish past Hitz and into the far corner to double the visitors' lead. Gorgeous finish.

BOCHUM TAKE THE LEAD
What a start we've had here. Bynoe-Gittens draws a save at one end and, just moments later, Bochum are in front as Polter heads home from close range as Akanji slips and Bochum's top scorer - completely unchallenged - makes no mistake.

PANTOVIC GOES CLOSE
Pantovic is closing down Zagadou and blocks the Dortmund defender, with the ball arrowing towards goal but it just sneaks past the outside of the post. That would have been a very odd opener.

THE NUMBERS BEHIND MATCHDAY 2000
HOW HIGH (OR LOW) CAN BOCHUM FINISH?
As for Bochum, they've been on the slide in recent weeks but they are still just four points off the top half with three games to play. They're still not mathematically safe but with an eight-point gap to VfB Stuttgart in the promotion/relegation playoff place, they could make sure of their Bundesliga place for 2022/23 by avoiding defeat today.
SECOND PLACE UP FOR GRABS
Dortmund's title hopes were ended last time out as Bayern Munich eased to Der Klassiker victory - and the Meisterschale - with a 3-1 win at the Allianz Arena, but dortmund can claim the runners-up spot for their own with a positive outcome here. Rose will be hoping his side can do just that and immediately turn their attentions to overthrowing Bayern next term.
FIRST START FOR BYNOE-GITTENS
Whatever happens come the full-time whistle, it will be a day to remember for 17-year-old Englishman Jamie Bynoe-Gittens who makes his first Bundesliga start today. Bynoe-Gittens has made two cameos in Dortmund's previous two outings and now gets the chance from the off as coach Marco Rose continues to cope with a long injury list.
REIS OPTS FOR POLTER
The inclusion of Bochum top-scorer Sebastian Polter is one of four changes made by the visitors as they look to arrest a three game run without either a goal or a victory. Erhan Masovic, Herbert Bockhorn and Milos Pantovic are the three other players brought into the side from the one that lost to Augsburg last time out.
