HUGE CHANCE FOR HAZARD!
What an opportunity right at the end for Dortmund as Schulz is found out in space on the left. He whips a ball across goal which Sommer parries to the back post, but Hazard is there to get on the rebound and head back at goal. But he can't get his effort on target as the ball loops onto the roof of the net.

LOOKING SOLID
Gladbach's defence has been fantastic all night, allowing not a single shot on target from Dortmund so far. The trio of centre-backs have handled Malen, Moukoko and now Knauff with ease.

KONE FIRES OVER!
He's had an impressive performance on his debut tonight and he has a go for goal here after cutting inside from the left past Meunier. He's only 12 yards from goal, but blazes his shot high over the crossbar.

Dortmund have scored 11 of their 17 goals this season in the second half of matches. However, being a man down is not helping their cause and Gladbach are winning the crucial battle in midfield at the start of the second half.

FIRST SHOT ON TARGET, FIRST GOAL!
It took 37 minutes for us to see a shot on target here but it was worth the wait as Zakaria's strike has put the hosts in front.

ZAKARIA FOR THE LEAD!
A goal from nothing to put the home side in front as Zakaria fires home. Zakaria picks up Guerreiro's clearance in midfield and exchanges passes with Ginter into the Dortmund area. He beats Hummels's challenge to be in on goal and cooly slots the ball home beyond Kobel across goal.
35'
PONGRACIC BOOKED
A fourth yellow card of the first half as Pongracic brings down Embolo from behind in midfield.
33'
STINDL BOOKED
Gladbach's captain is cautioned for a foul on Witsel.
32'
NETZ SHOT BLOCKED
Gladbach finally find some space behind the Dortmund defence with Stindl sliding Netz into their penalty area down the left, but Netz's shot is crucially blocked by Hummels on the slide.
28'
LACKING THE FINAL PASS
Just three attempts on goal between these two sides, with both lacking that final pass in attack and creative spark going forward. Guerreiro is the key man for Dortmund, with the left side proving their focal point going forward, but Scally is handling him well.
25'
SIMILAR TACTICS
It's proving difficult for either side to break down the other so far. The midfield is packed with little space to work through the middle, while there are a lack of numbers on the wings meaning that neither side have many options to work with there.

Kick-off!
KICK-OFF COMING UP!
The noise is loud and proud here in Mönchengladbach with home fans back in town once again. It's going to be a passionate evening for the visit of Dortmund.
DORTMUND WITHOUTH HAALAND
From their last five Bundesliga matches without Haaland, BVB have a relatively balanced record (2 wins, one draw, 2 losses). They did, however, pick up a 3-2 with at RB Leipzig the last time their No.9 was missing (May 2021). This is the first time that both Haaland and Reus are missing for BVB in the Bundesliga.
GLADBACH LOOKING TO GET STARTED
Gladbach have only fared worse after five matches of a Bundesliga season once in the last 10 years (2015/16 - five successive defeats).
DORTMUND'S BRIGHT START
Dortmund have won four of their opening five games for the 12th time. On 10 out of the last 11 such occasions, they have gone on to finish at least fourth in the final standings.

WELCOME TO BORUSSIA-PARK!
GLADBACH TEAM NEWS
The hosts remain without defensive options Lainer and Doucoure, so American teenager Scally starts for the sixth game running in his first full Bundesliga season. He reverts to the right-hand side. Former Dortmund winger Hofmann has shaken off an injury but France attacker Thuram is definitely still missing. Meanwhile, Kone makes his first start in midfield.
NO HAALAND OR REUS FOR BVB!
The big news from those line-ups is that Dortmund are without both top scorer Erling Haaland and captain Marco Reus this evening for their trip to Borussia-Park. Moukoko starts alongside Malen in attack, with a three-man defence coming into place for Rose's return to Gladbach. Expect Bellingham to push forward from midfield for BVB.

WHAT THEY'RE SAYING - GLADBACH
"We need to fight together," said Adi Hütter yesterday, his side currently in 15th with just four points on the board so far (W1 D1 L3). "The team wants – and needs to – show from the first whistle that they want to win the game. We need to be tough to play against, get stuck in and run hard for 90 minutes – this will be key, especially against a team that plays good football like Dortmund. BVB have the confidence that we don’t right now. As a result, we need to try other methods. We can cause them problems if we are brave and get the ball forward quickly at the right times. We can’t just park the bus; we have to look to play football too."
WHAT THEY'RE SAYING - DORTMUND
“I’m expecting to face a team with a lot of quality and on their day they’re capable of beating any team in the Bundesliga," said Marco Rose of Gladbach at his pre-match press conference. "They’ll do everything they can to win this special game at home against a strong side. With that in mind, we’ll have to be ready to face anything and to play our own game out on the pitch.”
WHO'S IN AND WHO'S OUT?
The starting line-ups will arrive in a little while, but we already know who WON'T be playing. Brandt (muscular), Can (thigh), Coulibaly (knee), Morey (knee), Reyna (thigh), Schmelzer (knee), Tigges (thigh) and Zagadou (knee) are all out injured for the visitors, with Schulz rated doubtful due to a thigh complaint. Doucoure (Achilles' tendon), Lainer (ankle) and Thuram (knee) are absent for the hosts, while Bensebaini could also miss out with a groin strain.
