MIRACLE UNION!
Sensational scenes at the Stadion An der Alten Försterei where Union have beaten Gladbach with a goal seven minutes into injury time. Was there even time to kick off after Doekhi's goal? Union won't care. Urs Fischer's men, who pushed and pushed right to the death, finally got the goal that sends them back to the top of the Bundesliga.

UNION WIN IT AT THE DEATH
What just happened!? Union have only gone and won the game with the last touch of the ball. A quick corner was worked to Leweling whose cross into the mixer was met by a superb Doekhi downward header that beat Sippel all ends up! Cue pandemonium inside the stadium.

BEHRENS THERE AGAIN
Union corner. It reaches Behrens who's falling back slightly but still manages to get a shot away under pressure from Hermann. The ball zips over the crossbar. Big finish this from Union, whose fans are roaring the Irons all the way to the finish

UNION EQUALISE !
Union are level ! Leite's flighted cross to the far post is watched all the way by Behrens. Sippel makes a decision to come for this but he's not going to make it. Instead, the keeper's flying fist catches Behrens straight in the mush less than a second after the Union man had headed into the net.

IRONS EDGING CLOSER
Leweling is through on the left but has Elvedi for company, the Gladbach man applies enough pressure to force Leweling to shoot off target. Soon afterwards, Michel has the ball hacked away from him as the visitors defend in numbers.

UNION PRESSURE
Scenes inside the Gladbach box. It all starts when Becker controls inside the area but his chested pass goes to nobody in particular. Trimmel eventually cuts the ball back for Ryerson, whose shot is cleared off the line by Friedrich. There was a flag up on the far side during that move.

TRIPLE CHANGE
Union boss Fischer rings the changes with Trimmel, Michel and Haraguchi all entering the action. The home side desperately need a spark here.

UNION OMEN
Another worrying omen for Union is that they are behind in a Bundesliga game for only the third time this season. When The Irons previously fell behind against Bochum and Frankfurt, they went on to lose both games.

NO JOY FOR FRONT TWO
Neither Becker nor Jordan had a shot on target in the first half for Union. The hosts' top scorers and assist providers will be keen to have much more of an effect in this second half.

PLEA OFF TARGET
Scally over hits a criss to the far post but the ball eventually works its way back to Plea, who shoots high and wide.

OFF WE GO AGAIN
Union get the second half underway. Can the hosts get back into this or will Gladbach hold onto their lead?

HALF TIME
Gladbach take a narrow lead into the break thanks to Nico Elvedi's first half header from Lars Stindl's corner. A disallowed goal aside, Union have yet to create a top, top chance, although the hosts have controlled for large parts. Interesting second half to come.

UNION WORRIES
Schäfer blooters one high over the crossbar from distance. Urs Fischer looks on in pensive mood.

SCHÄFER STRETCHING
Becker's rolling pass to the far post has Schäfer sliding in to meet it. Unfortunately for the Union man, Bensebaini is sliding in with him and the latter gets enough on the ball to snuff out the danger.

ALMOST THURAM
It's nearly two! Thuram lifts the ball over the advancing Rönnow with one of the smoothest pieces of skill you'll see all season. The French forward's subsequent header from the left lands on top of the goal netting.

GOAL GLADBACH
And wouldn't you know it! Gladbach win a corner which Stindl takes. The ball drops down into a crowd of players and Elevdi ducks to head in from close range. The visitors lead.

UNION GOAL RULED OUT
Gladbach head clear but the ball bounces straight to Khedira, who controls and wellies a right-footed effort at goal. The ball cannons off Becker and flies into the net. Union celebrate but VAR want a look at this. A review adjudges Becker to have handled. No goal.

FOALS BRACED
Gladbach haven't presented any sort of threat thus far but Daniel Farke looks relatively calm on the sidelines, content to watch his team bide their time under the Berlin sun.

HABERER AT THE DOUBLE
Ryerson's cross from the right comes all the way over to Haberer who pulls the trigger, only to see Scally make a fantastic block. From the subsequent corner, Haberer fires harmlessly at Sippel.

BECKER CROSS
Becker's out wide and assesses his options for a cross. The Union forward shunts one straight into the side-netting. Union having most of the possession early on.

SAFE HANDS SIPPEL
Doekhi lifts a strange ball straight into the arms of Gladbach keeper Sippel. Not sure what Union's No.5 was intending with that but Sippel will be glad of the touch.

THURAM IN FINE FORM
Gladbach's Marcus Thuram is understandably in good spirts (see tweet below). The French striker is third on the Bundesliga's top goalscorer list having registered eight goals this term. He has also found the net more often against Union (three times) than against any other side. The hosts (and their mascot) had better beware.
UNION TEAM NEWS
Union show two changes to the side that started Thursday's victory against Braga. Left-sided player Tymoteusz Puchacz makes his Bundesliga debut for the hosts while Andras Schäfer is also in from the get-go. Morten Thorsby and Chrsitopher Trimmel are benched.

INJURED FOALS SEEK LIFT
Like Union, Gladbach also suffered defeat in their last Bundesliga outing, the Foals going down at home to Eintracht Frankfurt. The visitors today have several injury concerns as they try to get back to winning ways. "We had a super run of games but we’re currently in a difficult phase with all our injuries," Borussia boss Daniel Farke said in the build up to today's encounter. "It’s time to grit our teeth and fight for every point."
