AUGSBURG BEAT BAYERN!
Bayern fail to win for the fourth league game in a row, and lose for the first time this season! Gikiewicz's heroics also end their run of scoring in the Bundesliga, which stretched back some 87 matches! What a day for Augsburg!

NEUER!
Almost the most dramatic of equalisers. Neuer's up for a corner. He wins it, heads goalwards - but Gikiewicz beats it away. Sensational!

DOUBLE SAVE!
Sane runs from deep to take Musiala's through-ball in his stride. He only has Gikiewicz to beat, but that's easier said than done. The Augsburg stopper sticks out a leg to block, before intuitively sflick out his right heel to turn Gnabry's rebound away from goal.

AN ULTRA-RARE BLANK?
Bayern have not failed to scored in 87 Bundesliga matches, dating back to a goalless draw with a Leipzig team coach by Nagelsmann, on 9 February 2020.

Musiala connects with Sane's cross, but the shot sails wide. So, so close! Bayern are riled.

ATTACKING CHANGE
A forward for a right-back - Nagelsmann means business.

MÜLLER!
Almost an immediate response as Sane clips a ball through to Müller. He winds up from the right-hand side of the area, but Gikiewicz gets down well to claw it away.

AUGSBURG LEAD!!!!!
Well, well, well. A free-kick from deep finds Iago in the Bayern area. He gets lucky as it hits his thigh and finds Berisha, who strokes home from close range.

OPPORTUNITY MISSED
Mane with his first shot on target of the afternoon - straight at Gikiewicz. Augsburg go up the other end with purpose, forcing Neuer into a hurried clearance. Hahn's among the red shirts crying out for the ball at the far post, but Rexhbecaj overhits his attempted cross, with Bayern scrambling to get into position.
54'
GORETZKA!
Neat play from Bayern in the Augsburg half ends with Goretzka taking aim from distance. A deflection takes the sting out of the shot, though, and it's a routine save for Gikiewicz.

NO CHANGES
Maaßen will want much more of the same from his Augsburg team. Nagelsmann will no doubt have asked for a little more - how long before he shuffles his pack?

GOAL-SAVING CHALLENGE!
Gikiewicz is caught out as Musiala works some magic in the box. He flicks a pass round the Augsburg goalkeeper and towards Goretzka, but Bauer throws himself at the ball to prevent the Bayern midfielder turning it home frm close range.
38'
FREE HEADER!
Mane's booked for a late lunge on Niederlechner. Augsburg shift the ball from the free-kick out wide to Iago. His cross is right on the money, but the unmarked Bauer sends his header over. Had that been on target, Neuer would have been in trouble!
34'
MUSIALA!
It's a brilliantly weighted first-time pass from Müller. Musiala controls well in the box, but side-foots his shot too close to the goalkeeper.
32'
DENIED!
Bauer makes a crucial intervention to stop Sane sliding a pass to the unmarked Mane on the edge of the Ausgburg box. For a moment, it looked like Bayern were going to be in!

MAZRAOUI CONCERN
Mazraoui's back on the pitch after taking a knock in a challenge with Niederlechner. Pavard suffered a dead leg in midweek, but is on the bench. Nagelsmann also has Josip Stanisic to call on at full-back.

OVER!
Berisha works an opening for Bauer, who pings over from range. Noise levels have risen in these last few minutes - Augsburg clearly fancy their chances.
24'
NEUER!
Upemacano makes a mess of a clearance. Niederlechner takes on the shot from the edge of the area, and Neuer can only beat it clear. Augsburg have Bayern under the cosh...

SANE AGAIN!
Davies pings a superb pass over towards the far post for Sane, who tries to steer it into the opposite corner with his weaker right foot. Wide!
17'
SANE!
Bayern getting closer as Sane takes on Müller's inside pass from eight yards. The shot's too close to Gikiewicz, though.
14'
MANE!
An even better opening now, this time for Bayern. Mazraoui weights a through-ball up towards Mane to perfection. He's one-on-one, but Gikiewicz telegraphs it and makes a superb block.
11'
WHAT A CHANCE!
Niederlechner gets away from de Ligt on his way into the Bayern box. The goal opens up for him, but he's under pressure from Upamecano and can't quite wrap his foot around the bouncing ball. The eventual shot is into the ground and hands of Neuer.
9'
DAVIES!
A Müller cross deflects into the path of Davies on the left-hand side of the box. He shapes to shoot, but an Augsburg defender gets a touch to throw the Canadian off his stride.

FOOTBALL WEATHER
Glorious conditions at the WWK Arena. Oh, and it's Oktoberfest season! Could be a fun old day and night for Bayern fans!
MORE ON THOSE TEAMS
It's not the conservative approach expected from Enrico Maaßen, who sticks with the Augsburg team that won 1-0 in Bremen. That means pace in attack and players who have turned up against Bayern before, in Florian Niederlechner and Andre Hahn. As for the record champions, Noussair Mazraoui and Matthijs de Ligt replace Benjamin Pavard and Lucas Hernandez in the back four, while Leon Goretzka is preferred to Marcel Sabitzer in central midfield. In attack, it's a front four of Leroy Sane, Thomas Müller, Jamal Musiala and Sadio Mane.

A FRESH LOOK FOR THE START OF OKTOBERFEST
This game isn't the only reason Bavarians will be celebrating today. After the 2020 and 2021 editions were cancelled due to the pandemic, Oktoberfest makes its comeback this year, running from 17 September until 3 October. To mark the occasion and celebrate a bit of local culture with their fans, Bayern have released a special new Oktoberfest jersey, which you can check out in the tweet below.

THE SEASON SO FAR
Bayern begin the weekend in third, two points adrift of Bundesliga leaders Union Berlin. They flew out of the traps with wins over Eintracht Frankfurt (6-1), Wolfsburg (2-0) and Bochum (7-0), but have since drawn with Borussia Mönchengladbach, Union and Stuttgart. Augsburg have won in Leverkusen and Bremen, whilst losing to Freiburg, Mainz, Hoffenheim and Hertha Berlin. Enrico Maaßen's side are down in 13th, two points clear of the automatic relegation zone.
