Full-time: Freiburg 3-3 Gladbach

Gladbach were denied a first win in over 20 years at Freiburg after Vincenzo Grifo slammed home a penalty deep into injury time to earn a point for the jubilant hosts. The Foals had led 3-1 and - after turning the game on its head - had look odds on to pick up all three points before substitute Noah Weißhaupt pulled a goal back for the home side, which set up Grifo to steal the show.

Freiburg level it!

Amazing! From 3-1 down, Christian Streich's men have snatched a draw with the very last kick of the game. It's that man Vincenzo Grifo, so assured from the penalty spot, who earns Freiburg a point.

Watch: Welcome to Freiburg

Streich's view on Gladbach

"We weren't without chances against Paderborn [in the DFB Cup loss] but have to improve some things against Gladbach, especially our duels. Gladbach went through a dip, had some upheaval in the club, there were high expectations placed on the team, but now they're stabilising again. They were very solid in the last two games. We now also need that stability, but also courage and mentality so we can get past them."

Seoane's view on Freiburg

“Freiburg are a challenge for every team, both at home and away, and of course they were already a strong home team in their old stadium, because they have a very good connection to the spectators and have steadily improved over the years. So it’s a challenge for every team to play in Freiburg."

There was no separating the teams on Matchday 23 last season as they shared the points in a goalless draw in early March.

Corner kings

The Foals have scored more goals from corners this season than any other side - six. That equals their tally for the whole of the 2022/23 campaign.

Bring it on - part II

The Black Forest club have scored more goals against Gladbach (64) than they have against anyone else in the Bundesliga. That includes the 6-0 triumph in December 2021 that still counts as Freiburg's highest-ever Bundesliga victory.

Bring it on!

Freiburg are unbeaten in their last 15 Bundesliga matches at home to Gladbach, winning 10 and drawing five. As such, it is their longest undefeated streak against any one club in Freiburg's top-flight history.
