Full-time: Bochum 1-1 Bremen
A late Niklas Stark goal broke Bochum hearts as they drew 1-1 with Werder Bremen in their opening game of 2024. Patrick Osterhage opened the scoring shortly after the hour mark with a stunning strike, and it looked as though they would pick up all three points. However, Stark's effort, which deflected off Osterhage on its way to hitting the back of the net via the crossbar, snatched a share of the spoils for his side. Bochum remain 14th in the table, one place below Bremen in the table on goal difference.

Bittencourt effort saved
The midfielder's fierce strike is at a comfortable height for Riemann to save and hold. A sign on life from Die Werderaner, at least.

Stöger fires wide
A late opportunity for Die Unabsteigbaren, but Stöger's effort, while well-hit, is never really troubling Zetterer between the sticks.

Bero denied
A first real opening of the match, as Zetterer stands firm to keep out the effort. It was from a tight angle and would have needed to be something special to beat the goalkeeper from there.
