One back for the hosts!
It's suddenly game on at the Voith-Arena as Kleindienst nods in Dovedan's headed back across the box from the left to end Leverkusen's run of over six hours without conceding.
85'
Goalscoring machine
Leverkusen have now scored 57 goals in 22 games this Bundesliga campaign. It's the same number they managed in the whole of 2022/23.
84'
Blocked
Shouts of "shoot!" as Pick picks up the ball in space to the left of centre. He obliges but Stanišić makes the block.
82'
Adli doubles lead!
Leverkusen finally have their second and it's all about the pass from Wirtz. Acres of space in the centre, perfectly into the run of Adli, who rounds Müller and slots home to put the league leaders well in command.

Wirtz off the bar!
So close to 2-0! Slick play inside the Heidenheim box, Wirtz with time and space right of goal. He strikes it really well but can only watch the ball cannon back off the crossbar with Müller well beaten.

Double change
The hosts make a double switch with some fresh legs out wide.

The hosts are shifting up a gear now and Gimber unleashes a powerful shot from 18 yards. It forces Hrádecký into another stop low to his right.
66'
Good defending
Hincapie up against the burly Kleindienst does very well to get his head to a cross in the six-yard box before the Heidenheim striker.

Impenetrable
We've now passed six hours since Leverkusen last conceded a goal.

Flashed wide
Frimpong fancies settling this game all on his own. Quick feet to dart down the outside inside the box and he flashes a shot a matter of inches wide of the far post on the angle.
58'
Dovedan deflection
Wayward clearance from Frimpong goes straight to Dovedan, he cuts onto his left foot and shoots. It takes a deflection of Tah, but Hrádecký is still able to get his dive right and hold.

Leverkusen's right-back has scored, so Heidenheim's man tries his own luck from right of the box, but he bounces wide of the far post.

Frimpong has a crack!
Rasping effort from the left foot of the Dutchman, but it's always rising.
49'
Tough nut to crack?
Leverkusen have won all 17 Bundesliga games this season in which they have led at some point.
46'
Back we come
The hosts make a change up front as Dovedan, who scored when these sides met here in the cup a few years ago, on for Beck.

Lovely from Wirtz
He skips past a number of challenges on the left, twists this way and that before trying to cut it back. Blocked for a corner. Adli goes down in the box at the same time but nothing's given.
18'
No way through
Schick shows no ill effects from that earlier challenge and tries to drive between two defenders, but Mainka and Föhrenbach manage to muscle him off the ball.
15'
Free-kick Bayer
Frimpong is upended by Beste on the right edge of the Heidenheim box. Free-kick in a dangerous position with Grimaldo standing over it.
12'
Schick down
The big Czech striker, who's only just back from over a year out, goes down after a knock to his ankle. He looks fine to continue after some quick treatment.

Wirtz denied by Müller
Ball comes in low from the left. Wirtz hits it first time, looking to place his shot from the edge of the box, but Kevin Müller is down to his right to hold.

Leverkusen break
Heidenheim press the visitors high and force them into a corner, but two passes later and Wirtz is racing away through the middle with the ball. He's got two players ahead of him but his through ball is cut out.

Unbeaten streaks on the line
Heidenheim are currently eight without defeat in the Bundesliga. The only team to earn more points over the same number of games, and in fact the only team on a longer unbeaten run, are Leverkusen. Bayer are yet to lose in any competitive fixture this season. That run of 31 games now has them on the brink of equalling the record for longest undefeated streak by a German club. That was set at 32 by Hansi Flick's treble-winning Bayern team across 2019 and 2020.
