Tietz makes it six
It's a lovely finish from Tietz, who has his second and Augsburg's sixth. On the angle, on his left foot, Tietz fires across goal and into the far corner. There's a brief check for offside but Tietz timed his run perfectly.

No hat-trick for Demirović
Augsburg whip their skipper off with the game well won and his brace playing a significant part in what's been a dominant performance.

Almost a sixth
Yet more panicked defending from the hosts almost leads to a sixth but neither Demirović nor Tietz can quite get the ball to land for them and Darmstadt survive this time around.

Half-time: Darmstadt 0-5 Augsburg
A torrid first 45 minutes for the hosts comes to a close after a catalogue of errors allowed a clinical Augsburg side to race into a five-goal lead inside the opening half hour. Tietz, Jensen, Demirović (two) and Vargas with the goals, that quartet running riot throughout.

Another change for SVD
As if things couldn't get worse for bottom club Darmstadt, their captain has now hobbled off with an injury. Fabian Holland heads straight for the tunnel, replaced by Andres Müller.

Demirović makes it FIVE!
This has been a truly miserable first half an hour for Darmstadt and Demirović has his second to make it 5-0. Again, it's far too easy - Jensen isn't closed down and is allowed to thread the ball through to Demirović, who simply diverts the ball into the back of the net.

Double change
It should come as no surprise that Torsten Lieberknecht has now reached into his reserves already. Klaus Gjasula and Jannik Müller were both responsible for goals and they've now been hauled off.

Yep, it's nasty
Augsburg have a fourth and we've only played 25 minutes. Vargas this time is fed in by Demirović on the left and he lashes home into the roof of the net. It could be double figures at this rate.

Augsburg on fire
Another goal and another mistake in defence. Klaus Gjasula has the ball and looks to be completely in control until panic sets in. A short backpass allows Demirović a free run of goal and he, predictably, converts with ease. This could get nasty for Darmstadt.

Too easy, two-nil
This has been a perfect start from Augsburg and they now have a two-goal advantage. Ermedin Demirović sets the ball for Rubén Vargas who, in turn, clips the ball over the top for Fredrik Jensen to run onto and slot beyond Marcel Schuhen.

Augsburg fly out the traps
The visitors are ahead inside two minutes, with Phillip Tietz scoring the first goal of the day against his former club. Jannik Müller must have thought Tietz was still his teammate, hitting the ball across goal to only find Tietz all alone 12 yards out and the goalkeeper to beat.

A win would be wonderful
Darmstadt have gone 16 matches without a win since that success in Augsburg in October. They are bottom of the table, albeit just four points behind Cologne in the relegation play-off spot. Augsburg are up in 11th and have a chance of making the top half of the table with a win.
