Full-time: Bayern 0-2 Dortmund

Dortmund win at the Allianz Arena for the first time in 10 years, and in doing so, practically hand the Bundesliga title to their Westphalian rivals Bayer Leverkusen, who now lead by 13 points with seven games to go. Bayern had chances to win this, but Dortmund were clinical and got the win they needed to move back into the top four.

It is now...

The goal is ruled out for offside! We will still have plenty of stoppage time, but that looks like that for Bayern's hopes of recovering.

Not over yet!

Kane steals in at the far post and nods in his customary goal. With stoppage time to come, there is still a chance for Bayern to get something from this game!

Westphalian favour

With this result, a club not far from Dortmund in Westphalia are just three wins away from winning the Bundesliga title.
83'

That is that!

Surely Dortmund are taking all three points now! Ryerson is left in acres of space to receive the ball from Haller and pick his spot in the far corner of Ulreich's goal.

Another chance on the break

Can tees up Schlotterbeck for a chance on the break for Dortmund. Bayern now have to throw everything forward - even only a draw would not be of much help to them in the title race.
75'

Coman goes close!

Coman sweeps in a shot which moves in the air and needs a fine one-handed save from Meyer to turn behind for a corner. Into the last 15 minutes now - can Bayern find an equaliser?
74'

Tactical switch

Tuchel rolls the dice one more time, this time moving Kimmich into midfield as Mazraoui comes on for Laimer. Can that be the key back into this game?
65'

Dangerous Dortmund

Dortmund are starting to create chances and Maatsen is the latest to burst forward, though he drags his low shot wide. As Bayern have to push forward more, they are leaving gaps open at the back which the Westphalians are looking out for.
camera-photo

Hummels holding firm

Mats Hummels, the new record-holder for Klassiker appearances, is having a monstrous game. Now where is that flame emoji?
58'

Hummels!

Hummels has been a monster at the back tonight, and he almost got his name on the scoresheet with a piledriver which Ulreich is still going to be feeling for the next few minutes.
53'

Almost two!

That really should have been two, as the ball falls to Nmecha with only Ulreich to beat. His low shot is not angled enough and Ulreich gets down to turn it behind.
50'

Wasteful Davies

A good chance for Davies, but it arrives to him on his right foot and, well, it is best not to go any further. Suffice to say, the shot misses the target.

Bayern back on the ball

Just like in the opening throes of the first half, Bayern have their foot on the ball, albeit in the defensive third.

Half-time: Bayern 0-1 Dortmund

Adeyemi's goal has put a cat among the pigeons in Munich, giving Dortmund a surprise lead. Bayern have created enough chances to be at least level, but as things stand, their 13-point deficit to league-leading Leverkusen is not getting any smaller.

Three minutes and a few whistles

There will be three more minutes in this half, and a few whistles can be heard from the Bayern fans. The last 10 minutes have been a stale affair, with frustration mounting for Bayern.

A Dier miss

Eric Dier's header from point-blank range is blocked on the line. It just does not want to go in for Bayern.

information
xGoals
The xGoals value of a club is calculated from the sum of all goal probabilities (goals and shots on goal) of that team. During a match, it’s easy to see whether the club is performing better than expected (goals > xGoals) - or maybe even higher (xGoals > goals).
Bayern have generated an xG of over one, which would men they deserve a goal at this stage. They don't have one, though.

Musiala limps off

A foul by Ryerson on Musiala leaves the Bayern midfielder hobbling off. He doesn't look particularly comfortable, which is not a good sign for Bayern, though he is back on, trying to run it off.

Füllkrug fizzer

A rare Dortmund effort on Ulreich's goal, Füllkrug fizzing one in low, but straight into the Bayern custodian's awaiting arms.

Citizen Kane

Harry Kane heads over the crossbar from just a handful of yards out, completely unmarked. That made him look almost like normal citizen.

Rare lead

Dortmund fell behind in the previous four Klassikers, with this being the first time they opened the scoring in this fixture since 2021. They still went on to lose that one 3-2, though, so there's plenty to play for.

Shaken, not stirred

That goal does seem to have shaken Bayern, whose stirring start has been stalled.

Mr Klassiker

This is not the first Klassiker for Mats Hummels, it is number 29. That is more appearances in this fixture than any other player in history, one more than Michael Zorc.

Leipzig assist?

With Leipzig being held at home to a goalless draw by struggling Mainz, Dortmund have slipped to fifth ahead of kick-off here. However, that stumble for their nearest rivals is an opportunity to take a step closer to a top-four finish with victory in Der Klassiker for Dortmund.

Unlucky 13?

With Bayer Leverkusen coming from behind to beat Hoffenheim earlier, the gap between the top two has grown to 13 points. With games running out, Bayern can ill afford to end the weekend so far behind.

Three changes each

Both coaches make three changes to their teams compared to their final fixture before the international break.

Ulreich omen

With Manuel Neuer out injured, Sven Ulreich (l.) makes his first Bundesliga appearance since 21 Oktober (a 3-1 win in Mainz). You have to go back to March 2018 for his last Klassiker appearance, and how did that one end? 6-0 to Bayern.

Bayern starting XI:

Ulreich - Kimmich, De Ligt, Dier, Davies - Laimer, Goretzka - Sané, Müller (c), Musiala - Kane

Bayern subs;

Peretz, Upamecano, Kim, Gnabry, Coman, Choupo-Moting, Zaragoza, Tel

Dortmund starting XI:

Meyer - Ryerson, Hummels, Schlotterbeck, Maatsen - Nmecha, Can (c) - Sancho, Brandt, Adeyemi - Füllkrug

Unchartered territory

This is the first time in over 14 years that these two are playing each other in a Bundesliga Rückrunde without one of them top of the pile. Meanwhile, in terms of recent history; Bayern are unbeaten in their last 10 league meetings (W9, D1) and have won their last nine at home against Dortmund, scoring 37 goals.

A NEW Klassiker King?

Kane boasts 31 goals from 26 Bundesliga games – including a hat-trick in Dortmund – which is a new record for a player in his maiden season in the German top flight and a new personal best for him in a league campaign.

A Klassiker king

Mats Hummels is set to make his 29th Klassiker appearance in the Bundesliga, which would be a new record in this fixture. He’s so far played 22 times for Borussia and six for Bayern.
