Asano again!
The lead lasts only two minutes as Asano levels for the second time with a lovely outside-of-the-boot volley.

Captain Demirovic!
The hosts retake the lead with a quick free-kick from midfield. Pass forward to Beljo up the inside left. He clips it past Riemann, who gets a slight touch to turn it onto the box, but he's helpless as it bounces back to the feet of Demirovic to tap home.

Air Asano!
The Japan international goes for the acrobatic with an overhead kick. Sweet connection but blocked by a defender before it can test the goalkeeper.

Asano levels!
Just what the visitors needed on the stroke of half-time. Wittek cracks one off the post from 25 yards. It then falls kindly in the box for Asano after a couple of failed clearances, steering it high past Dahmen.

Excellent from Augsburg!
From Losilla squandering a chance at one end, Augsburg calmly work their way straight up the other end with a string of passes. Beljo leads the charge, a one-two with Demirovic and the Croatian just taps home from to add to his consolation against Bayern last week.

Denied with the face!
Matus Bero thinks he's about to score his first Bundesliga goal after taking down a long ball into the box and getting away a quick shot, but he's denied by the face of goalkeeper Finn Dahmen. Philipp Hofmann then blasts over the rebound.

Off the bar!
Out of nowhere Philipp Tietz on the stretch manages to volley the ball towards goal from over 20 yards out left of centre. Manuel Riemann is rooted to the spot and can only watch as the ball canons back off his crossbar.

Quiet start
Just two Takuma Asano efforts from outside the box to report so far. And only one of them has called Finn Dahmen into action.

Welcome along
If this Matchday 3 game were played later in the campaign, it very well might have been described as a relegation six-pointer. As it stands, we're just two games into a new season and both sides have plenty of time to aim higher.
