Plugging away
Hoffenheim continue to make in-roads in an attacking sense. It's just the final pass that's been lacking.
59'
Baumgartner on
Leipzig's goalscorer makes way for a very familiar face to fans of a Hoffenheim persuasion. Baumgartner produced 30 goals and 22 assists in 138 competitive games for TSG.

Fierce!
Henrichs catches his shot really well at the end of a counter but Baumann gets right behind it.

Deflected over!
Another ball into the box causes problem for the Leipzig defence. Prömel collects and shows a cute turn, before seeing his goal-bound strike take a nick off a white shirt and go behind for a corner that comes to nothing.

Added time
Two more minutes at the end of the first half...

Straight at the goalkeeper
Hoffenheim take a leaf out of the Leipzig playbook with a cross from the right for Bebou. His header is into the arms of Gulácsi, though.
38'
Šeško breaks the deadlock!
Just when Hoffenheim were building up a head of steam, Leipzig forge ahead. Raum's delivery is a peach, with Šeško rising highest to head in his fifth goal in as many games.
36'
Denied!
Hoffenheim get the ball into the Leipzig box for Kramarić, but his back-post strike is too close to the goalkeeper.

Half chance!
Šeško's a good 16 yards from goal as he tries to steer a Haidara cross past Baumann with his head. It's the right idea, but the ball drifts wide of the far post. Still, that's a sign of a player high on confidence. The Leipzig striker has scored in each of his last four games...
28'
Blue wave
Good spell for Hoffenheim as Haidara is forced to clear Bülter's probing left-wing cross. They're really having a go at Marco Rose's team at the moment.

TSG still in the hunt
Hoffenheim begin the weekend a point behind seventh. Whichever team takes that spot will contest a Europa Conference League play-off.
Champions League football in the bag
Dortmund's win over PSG in midweek means the Bundesliga will have at least five teams in next season's Champions League, instead of the usual four. The quintet is already set in stone, Leipzig included!
More on those teams
Matarazzo makes four changes to the side that started the 3-2 loss in Bochum. Akpoguma, Bülter, Stach and Bebou come in, with Drexler, Skov (both benched) Tohumcu (suspended) and Weghorst (personal reasons) making way. Henrichs replaces Simakan for Leipzig, meanwhile, in the only change to the Dortmund win.
