Reus adds a fourth!
That'll do it for Dortmund! Wolf spots the run of Reus, who has acres of space in the Freiburg area and the time to pick his spot. He does just that, bending a superb shot out of Atubolu's reach.

Time added on
Into the first of five additional minutes in Freiburg. Can BVB hold on this time?
89'
Chance!
Atubolu saves well from Reus, but can't keep hold of it. Moukoko collects, firing across goal from the tightest of angles, before being flagged for offside.
88'
Hummels at the double!
Huge goal for Dortmund. With Freiburg temporarily down to nine men, Hummels bundles in a Reus free-kick ahead of a hesitant Atubolu.

Lienhart comes off worse after rugby tackling Malen to the ground. The Austrian has a shoulder problem...

Defensive reinforcements
Streich is taking no chances, sending on defender Schmidt and central midfielder Röhl. Right-back Kübler and attacker Doan make way.

Höfler red card!
Höfler's initially booked for a studs-up challenge on Sabitzer, but it's upgraded upon review. That could have been really nasty for Sabitzer - Freiburg will play the remainder with 10 men.

Close from Grifo!
Freiburg's talisman is not far away with his free-kick, bending the ball just over the crossbar with Kobel at full stretch.
79'
Can booked
Dortmund's captain gets his third yellow card of the season, after wrestling Adamu to the turf. He knew he didn't have the pace to match the young Austrian.
77'
Adamu debut
Junior Adamu - a summer signing from Salzburg - is on for his Bundesliga debut. Höler, who was a doubt before the game, heads off a touch gingerly.

74'
Warning shot
Reus and Füllkrug combine, with the latter blazing over from 18 yards. Still, that's the sign of a confident player. Can last season's joint-top Bundesliga scorer fire BVB to a much-needed victory in the closing stages?
72'
Reus on
Moments after Füllkrug goes within a whisker of applying the finishing touch to a teasing ball across the face of goal, Brandt is withdrawn for former BVB captain Reus.

Kobel save!
Freiburg continue to recycle the ball in dangerous areas as Höler gets off a shot that forces Kobel into a strong diving save at his near post.

... this time Dortmund read it well and clear the danger.
69'
Denied!
Sallai goes into the box with purpose. He tries to release a cross as he reaches the corner of the six-yard area, but Sabitzer slides in with a crucial block. Freiburg keep the chance alive, though, winning a free-kick on the other side of the penalty area. Grifo to take...

Malen levels for Dortmund!
He's barely had a kick, but Malen brings BVB back on level terms. Füllkrug's involved, the BVB sub releasing his new teammate with a well-weighted forward pass. Malen races away and fires a confident finish into the far corner for his third goal in four Bundesliga games this season.

Double change
Summer signings Füllkrug and Nmecha are on for Dortmund. Haller and Adeyemi, who've largely fed on scraps, make way.

Over from Grifo!
Doan does really well to spin away from his marker on the right-hand side. The pull-back is right on the money for Grifo, but he's leaning back and spoons over from inside the box.
54'
Brandt chance!
The Dortmund man takes advantage of Höfler's slip. He has options to his left, but opts for the shot and fires narrowly wide of the far post.

Can Dortmund find another gear?
Wolf's on for Bensebaini, who picked up a knock late in the first half. Freiburg rallied - can BVB do the same? If they don't, they'll already be five points off top spot.

Freiburg strike again!
What a turnaround! Grifo is the architect once again, this time with a free-kick from the right-hand side. Höfler meets it, heading Freiburg in front on the stroke of half-time.

Freiburg are level!
What a time to score! Grifo swings in a cross from the left. Höler makes a great run towards the near post and flicks a superb backwards header beyond Kobel. BVB went to sleep.

No penalty
There's a check for a penalty as Bensebaini goes to meet a Brandt corner, but there was no way his marker could get out of the way of that.

Doan!
Freiburg swarm as Sallai drives goalwards from just inside the box. It cannons off a BVB shirt and falls kindly for Doan, who balloons over. Difficult chance for the Japan international.
38'
Right idea
Sallai sprays a diagonal ball into the box for Grifo, who heads tamely at Kobel before the whistle sounds for offside against the Italian.
36'
Haller concern
Haller heads off for treatment on a possible groin issue, but is able to return to the field. BVB have Füllkrug on the bench, remember...
34'
No penalty!
Malen drives forward and threads a pass through for Sabitzer. He goes to ground in the box, but is penalised for catching a Freiburg defender as he went to pull the trigger.

Off the post!
Grifo shows his dead-ball prowess from a corner. Lienhart takes on the shot, swerving a fine effort against the upright. Kobel was rooted to the spot!

Dortmund lead!
Freiburg concede from a corner! Brandt's out-swinging cross travels all the way to the far side of the six-yard box, where the unmarked Hummels rises highest to power a header past Atubolu. Streich will be seething.
5'
Dortmund probing
Adeyemi combines with Brandt in the Freiburg area. A cross is pinged towards the six-yard box, but ex-BVB man Ginter slides in with a crucial block behind for a corner. Brandt's initial effort is cleared only as far as Bensebaini, who shoots wide.
3'
Corner threat
Bensebaini concedes a cheap corner with a wayward back-pass that's nowhere near Kobel. Doan's ensuing cross finds the unmarked Höler, who heads tamely at the keeper. Set-pieces were one of Freiburg's strong suits last season - BVB can't afford to defend like that!

Can flies in!
Emre Can gets a talking-to from the referee after going through Roland Sallai. Another challenge like that, and he'll be in the book.

And here they come! Superb atmosphere on a gorgeous late summer's afternoon in the Black Forest.
In the tunnel
There's a lot of love between some of the players as they prepare to enter the field. Freiburg are in their animal pattern meets candy cane home shirts of red and white. Dortmund are decked in their change strip of black shirts with yellow shorts.

More on those teams
Streich makes two changes to the team beaten 5-0 by Stuttgart prior to the international break. Vincenzo Grifo - who was Freiburg's top scorer last season - makes way for Ritsu Doan, while Manuel Gulde is preferred to Kiliann Sildillia at right-back. Dortmund welcome back Julian Ryerson on the right-hand side of their back four, meanwhile, with Marius Wolf dropping out. Mats Hummels unseats Niklas Süle at centre-back, but Niclas Füllkrug is only fit enough for a place on the bench.

Home fortress
BVB will need to be at their attacking best on Saturday given that Freiburg's Europa-Park Stadion is something of a fortress. In their last 17 Bundesliga home games, Christian Streich's side have only conceded 10 goals and never more than one per game.
