What a save!

So close for Bochum as Hofmann flicks on Passlack's inviting cross into the area. Asano is first to it in front of Trapp, who spreads himself brilliantly to block with an outstretched arm.

More on those teams

Bochum are unchanged from the team that started the 2-2 draw with Augsburg, with two-goal hero Takuma Asano in attack once more. As for Frankfurt, Jessic Ngankam is preferred to Omar Mamroush in the lone striker's role, while left-back Niels Nkounkou is handed a first start after his equaliser from the bench against Cologne.

Nkounkou wants more

What a start Niels Nkounkou had to life at Eintracht, the French full back netting a late equaliser to rescue a point for his new side against Cologne on Matchday 3. "I couldn’t have wished for a better debut with the goal and I hope we can continue in that vein as a team,” Frankfurt's recent acquisition explained.

What it's all about

How about this for a big-game quote from Eintracht boss Dino Toppmöller? "A game under the lights at Bochum’s famous Ruhrstadion, a capacity crowd, a good pitch, a good atmosphere, tough tackles – that’s what we play football for.” Enough said!
camera-photo

Letsch on Toppmöller

In the build-up to the encounter, Thomas Letsch gave his two cents on recently appointed Frankfurt coach Dino Toppmöller. "Eintracht haven't lost a game under him so far so he can be thoroughly happy with his start," Letsch explained. "Every coach has his own ideas and the exciting thing is to then transfer that to a team and try new things."

Toppmöller's run

Eintracht Frankfurt's Dino Toppmöller is the first coach of the club since Armin Veh 12 years ago not to lose any of his first six competitive games in charge of the Eagles. Toppmöller's coaching father Klaus remained undefeated in his first eight games in charge of Eintracht in 1993.

Letsch's happy memories

Thomas Letsch's first home game in charge of Bochum was a 3-0 win against Eintracht last season. It was also Die Blauen's first triumph of the campaign on Matchday 9 of 2022/23.
