Guirassy the history maker!
What a great Bundesliga moment. Serhou Guriassy puts Stuttgart into the lead - becoming the first man in Bundesliga history to score 12 goals after seven matches of a season! Führich dribbled to the edge of the box and threaded a pass through for Guirassy to run around Casteels and convert from close range.

Undav effort
Führich chips the ball over the defence and Undav smashes a volley on goal but it's saved by Casteels. A winning goal here would be enough to take Stuttgart top...

Guirassy vs Wind: Battle of the in-form strikers
Each side has been led by an in-form striker in the early stages of the campaign. No player has scored more goals than Serhou Guirassy's 10 - he bagged those across the first five games, equalling Robert Lewandowski's record - while Jonas Wind has found the back of the net seven times for Wolfsburg.

Head-to-head
Wolfsburg have had the better of this match-up in recent meetings, winning four of the last six. Stuttgart's last victory, meanwhile, came in 2021, when they prevailed 2-0. They last beat Die Wölfe at home in 2019, though, and will be looking to break that four-game drought here.
Stuttgart: the surprise package
Few would expected Die Schwaben to sit second in the table after six matchdays, yet here we are. Sebastian Hoeneß has revitalised the side after only just avoiding relegation last term - they needed a relegation play-off win over Hamburg to secure their top-tier status - even following the sales of key players such as Konstantinos Mavropanos, Borna Sosa and Endō. Only Leverkusen and Bayern (20) have netted more than their 19 goals, while they are enjoying their best start to a season in 27 years.
Resurgent Wolfsburg
Niko Kovač's team have been quietly taking care of business so far this campaign. With four wins and two defeats from their six games, they sit seventh in the table with 12 points to their name. There have been impressive victories over Union Berlin and Frankfurt and, although they lost to Borussia Dortmund and Hoffenheim, both those teams have also looked good thus far. A win away at Stuttgart would be a further boost to their top-four credentials.
