Full-time: Stuttgart 2-3 Frankfurt

The final whistle goes at the MHPArena, and what an ending we've just witnessed! Frankfurt looked like they were in complete control after going three goals to the good, the pick of the bunch being Marmoush's latest free-kick stunner, but Stuttgart kept fighting and got back into the games with goals from Vagnoman and Woltemade. In the seventh minute of stoppage time, Führich thought he'd levelled the scores, but a VAR check revealed he was stood in an offside position in the build-up, chalking out the goal and sealing victory for Eintracht! A fine Sunday afternoon of Bundesliga action!

Vagnoman gets Stuttgart on the board! The full-back steps on to the ball outside the box before letting fly with his left foot. It takes a slight deflection off Theate and loops over Trapp and into the back of the net.

The scorer of Frankfurt's second goes down with cramp, causing the play to be interrupted momentarily.

Goalscorer departs

Ekitiké, the man who began the scoring for Frankfurt today with a bullet header, is brought off in place of Chaïbi. Collins also comes off in place of Bahoya.

Good battle for pace

It's Marmoush vs. Diehl as the Egyptian looks to run through on goal. The young Stuttgart player did well to keep up with the pacey Marmoush, and puts a good shoulder tackle in to nudge the in-form man off the ball.

Hosts denied by monster block

The ball is squared to Jeff Chabot following a corner, and his shot was destined to nestle in the back of the net were it not for a great block from Ansgar Knauff!
72'

Great skills!

Ekitiké cleverly juggles the ball past his opponents near the halfway line. This Frankfurt side are playing with real confidence!

Woodwork again!

Millot's shot comes crashing off the bar and flies away. El Bilal Touré's clever flick set Millot up next to the penalty spot, but the powerful effort was just too high.

Frankfurt come close to a fourth twice!

Nübel first denies Marmoush in a one-on-one scenario. Next, the Germany international gets his body in the way of Brown's cross into the box which could have been dangerous for the hosts.

Millot tests Trapp

The Frenchman's left-footed curling attempt from outside of the box bounces just in front of the Frankfurt 'keeper, but he keeps his eye on the ball and pushes it away.

Marmoush with another free-kick!

He's done it again! Marmoush steps up and hits a fantastic free-kick which sails past Nübel into the top-left corner for Frankfurt's third!

Marmoush fouled again

As is often the case with key players, Marmoush is brought down once again before he can build up a head of steam and wins a free-kick.
61'

Double change for the hosts

In an attempt to turn things around, Hoeneß brings on two sets of fresh legs in Justin Diehl and El Bilal Touré.
59'

Slick move

Frankfurt are really strutting their stuff now. They work it up towards the penalty area nicely before Marmoush attempts a cute chipped pass in behind the Stuttgart defence. The hosts manage to clear it for a corner.
57'

Into the book

Chabot catches Marmoush's heel with his studs, bringing the Egyptian to ground, and the referee cautions the centre-back for his troubles.
55'

Brown doubles up for Frankfurt!

It's 2-0 to the visitors! Praise must go to substitute Knauff here, who drives at the Stuttgart defence before electing to go round the outside before crossing in from the right side of the box. It takes a fortunate deflection of Chabot and sits up perfectly for Brown to tap in for two!

Mixed fortunes in Europe

Whilst Stuttgart suffered a 2-0 home defeat against Italian side Atalanta in the Champions League on Wednesday, Eintracht Frankfurt claimed a 1-0 win over Slavia Prague of Czechia in the Europa League, with the match-winning moment coming from a wonderful free-kick by Omar Marmoush. Will Stuttgart's strong home record be able to stifle the momentum of their visitors this afternoon?

Sebastian Hoeneß on facing Frankfurt

“Eintracht are doing very well. Their results show that. Frankfurt have incredible pace and in Omar Marmoush, a player who is probably the hottest property in Europe at the moment. We have a huge opportunity to end a very tough run of games on a high. We’ve picked up three points from two games against tough opponents in the Champions League and can now lay down another big marker with a win.”

Dino Toppmöller on facing Stuttgart

"Stuttgart have shown how you can break into the top with good football, hard work and meticulousness. It'll be a tough task. We're really looking forward to locking horns with them."
