Last chance?
Guirassy wins a free-kick wide on the left after a foul by Upamecano. Groß delivers it deep into the box but Neuer just gets there ahead of a Schlotterbeck, while Davies blocks Süle's follow-up shot.

The Germany is booked for his appeals for a penalty after a tussle with Bensebaini to get to a left-wing cross from Coman.

The equaliser!
It's been coming and finally Bayern get their goal. After a Sané free-kick on the edge of the area strikes the wall, Olise floats a cross into the ball into the middle and finds the unmarked Musiala, who heads in from the edge of the six-yard box.

Coman denied!
Another chance for Bayern as Musiala lays the ball off for Musiala, whose shot from 16 metres out is straight at Kobel. In the build-up to that effort there appeared to be a moment where Müller, unmarked inside the box, could have turned and shot, but instead he touched it out to Musiala.
67'
Bayern building
The away side are well on top here - despite that chance for Sabitzer - and there is a sense building of when they will score, rather than if.
64'
Fresh legs for Bayern
Boey, who has been injured for much of this season, replaces Laimer at right-back, while Coman takes Tel's place in attack.
62'
NEUER!
Now it's Dortmund's turn to have a great chance as Beier slides the ball through to Sabitzer on the right. It looks like it's going to be 2-0 but Neuer makes himself big and thwarts Sabitzer's attempt.

Wide from Sané!
A glorious chance for Bayern as Laimer slips the ball through to Sané down the right. He's just got Kobel to beat but, on his weaker right foot, sends his shot well wide of the far post.

Brilliant from Gittens
Nmecha pings a fine pass forward to Gittens down the left. A step-over and burst of acceleration take him past Laimer but his low cross is cut out at the near post.
52'
Break in play
Guirassy holds the ball up well in the middle and is crowded out by a number of Bayern players. He's fouled in the process and needs treatment.
50'
LAIMER JUST IN TIME!
Dortmund get forward and have a glorious chance of their own as Beier crosses from the right to Gittens, arriving at the back post. His first touch allows Laimer to get back and hook clear though; that looked like a certain goal otherwise.
49'
WHAT A SAVE!
Bayern look certain to equalise as Musiala turns Schlotterbeck and glides into the box. He squares it for Müller, who just has Kobel to beat, but the Dortmund keeper spreads himself and makes a vital save.
48'
First attempt of the half
Tel takes up a position wide on the left and cuts inside and curls a shot at goal. It lacks the necessary power and precision to trouble Kobel, though.

Dortmund get us going again in the second half. No changes from either side at the break.

WHAT A GOAL!
Wow! Bayern have been on top so far but this is sensational stuff from Gittens. Collecting the ball wide on the left on the halfway line, he turns Laimer and sprints into the Bayern box before smashing a left-footed strike past Neuer and high into the net! A truly stunning goal.
22'
Guirassy!
There's not been a great deal of attacking play to see from Dortmund so far but all of a sudden Guirassy has a sight of goal! Ryerson gets forward down the right and squares it low into the middle for the striker, whose first-time effort is blocked before it reaches Neuer.
19'
Kane has a go
Musiala receives the ball with his back to goal, about 25 yards out. A flick of his right boot sends the ball to Kane, who attempts a long-range drive but it's blocked before Kobel needs to intervene.

Glimpse from Dortmund
Groß drives forward down the left and crosses low into the box, looking for Sabitzer, but it's behind him and Bayern can clear.

Dangerous position...
Ryerson can't cope with Musiala and brings him down just outside the edge of the area, wide on the left. Kimmich's delivery isn't the best though and it's hooked clear at the near post.

The Germany international cuts inside from the right and unleashes a fierce, swerving drive from 25 yards out. Kobel sees it all the way though, and paws it clear with a dive to his right.

Dortmund lose possession cheaply and they are perhaps fortunate that the ball falls to Kim, rather than one of Bayern's attackers, on the edge of the area. He can't get the ball out of his feet quickly enough and Anton is able to clear.

The home side are putting Bayern under pressure right from the off, with Guirassy, Beier and Gittens all hounding Neuer and the visiting defence inside their own box.

Home hoodoo to end?
While Dortmund have won all of their Bundesliga home games so far this season, they haven't had much joy against Bayern at Signal Iduna Park in recent years. They've only taken one point from their last five Bundesliga games against them, scoring six and conceding 13 in that period. BVB's most recent home win over Bayern in the league was a 3-2 triumph on 10 November 2018.

Today's the day
Welcome back to our live blog of Dortmund vs. Bayern, which kicks off in six hours time.
Advantage Bayern?
Most wins? Bayern (67). Most goals? Robert Lewandowski (32). Most appearances? Thomas Müller (42). Bayern have the statistical edge in meetings with Dortmund, but history and form tend to go out of the window in Der Klassiker. BVB will certainly be confident of getting a result after their flawless home run so far in 2024/25.

Home juggernauts vs. away juggernauts
The latest edition of the Klassiker will see the side with the strongest home record so far this season (six wins) host the club with the best away figures (five wins and one draw).

Green light for Black and Yellows
The severe injury crisis Dortmund have been facing was easing by the end of the November international break. Waldemar Anton, Gregor Kobel and Jamie Gittens were declared fit in time to start their 4-0 win over Freiburg, with Giovanni Reyna also coming on as a substitute. Niklas Süle, Karim Adeyemi and Kjell Wätjen had returned to training by then, and the hope was they would also recover in time for the Klassiker.
