What a time to take the lead
An amazing finish for the Wolves! Arnold whips in a cross from the left-hand side, and super sub Wind is the first to get there. He turns it home to give the hosts the lead for the first time today!

Zentner collects
Mæhle sends a fierce cross into the box from the left flank, but the Mainz 'keeper bravely comes and collects the ball to break up the attack.

Sub subbed
Hanche-Olsen, who replaced the injured da Costa at the very start of the game, comes off for Leitsch. The defender has been out himself with a toe injury recently, and so Henriksen will be looking to manage his minutes.

Where do we go from here?
You wouldn't put it past either side to score a fourth in what time remains here at the Volkswagen Arena. It's been a fantastic afternoon of football.

Henriksen reacts
The Mainz head coach makes a double change after his team were pegged back for a third time, as Widmer and Hong replace Caci and Nebel.

Super sub strikes
Wind slams the ball into the top-left corner from the edge of the box to make it 3-3! Zentner had no chance, and now the game is hanging in the balance with just a few minutes left.
83'
Good chance!
After Zentner unconvincingly punches a cross into the box clear, it falls to Mæhle on the rebound, and with the 'keeper out of the goal, the Denmark international only needs to keep it on target to find an equaliser. However, the effort goes over the goal.
81'
Final roll of the dice
The home side make their final substitutions as Kaminśki and Behrens replace Fischer and Tomás. They don't have long to make an impact, but this game is still very much alive.

Big block from Vavro
Caci pickpockets Mæhle in the penalty box and looks to knock it past Grabara, but Vavro intervenes to get behind the effort and block the shot to keep Wolfsburg in the game.

Mainz lead for the third time
Amiri chips a great ball through to Burkardt who tries to dink it over Grabara on the volley. The Wolves' keeper manages to claw it off the line, but it falls straight to Nebel on the rebound who can tap it in to score his first Bundesliga brace, and more importantly, restore Mainz's lead.
63'
Tomás causing problems
The Wolfsburg attacker is posing a serious threat to the Mainz defence this afternoon. Whenever he is on the ball, he is looking lively, and is using his pace to glide past the visitor's defence.
62'
A good first touch away
If Burkardt had been able to control the ball better after it was played to him just outside the six-yard box, he would have been in a great position to shoot and try and score his second and Mainz's third. However, the ball gets away from him and is collected by Grabara.
58'
Wolfsburg back in it
Amoura drives down the right wing and passes a couple of Mainz defenders before picking out Tomás in the box, who swings the ball towards goal with the first touch. It takes a deflection off Hanche-Olsen and goes into the back of the Mainz net.
56'
That's a yellow
Kohr clips Fischer just outside the Mainz penalty area, receiving a yellow card for his troubles and conceding a free-kick right on the edge of the box.
53'
Well over
After some pinball in the box from the resulting corner, it comes back to Vavro to fire towards goal through the melee of players. However, the centre-back opts for the aerial route and sends the ball high and wide.
52'
Fischer comes close
It gets played to the right-back on the edge of the Mainz box, and Fischer, who is yet to score in the Bundesliga, wastes no time in getting a shot away. However, a Mainz player blocks the effort and it goes out for a corner.
50'
Latest Burkardt chance
The Mainz captain fails to get the right contact following Kohr's cross into the box, and it trickles through to Grabara in goal. It's clear Burkardt is looking to score his 11th Bundesliga goal of the season sooner rather than later!
47'
Early corner from Mainz
The visitors are on the front foot from the get-go here, as they win an early corner. However, this comes to nothing.
46'
One change at the break
Mainz get the second half underway. Ralph Hasenhüttl has made one sub at half-time, bringing on Wind for Wimmer.

Burkardt hunting more
The Mainz attacker anticipates well and makes a clever run in behind before firing a driven shot across goal, but his left-footed effort goes wide of the target.
39'
Captain fantastic
Caci's deflected cross in from the right is flicked on by Bell at the near post, and Burkardt is in the right place to bundle the ball into the back of the net off his chest to restore Mainz's lead.

Nebel comfortable on the ball
The Mainz goalscorer hasn't been deterred by Wolfsburg press, successfully dealing with onrushing defenders 73% of the time in this game so far.

Just past the post
Amiri tries his luck from a free-kick from 25 yards out, and the effort flashes just wide of Grabara's right post.
26'
Exciting opening 25 minutes
A goal apiece for each of the teams has brought this game to life. Mainz are looking to restore their lead, whilst Wolfsburg will want to complete the comeback by scoring the next goal of the match.
22'
First cautions
Mainz-born Baku goes into the book for standing on the foot of a Zerofiver, and then Arnold receives a yellow card for dissent.
20'
Amoura levels the scores
Tomás does really well on the left-hand side of Mainz's penalty box to work space for a cross into the box. Zentner gets a palm to the ball, but it falls straight into the path of Amoura who simply taps it home to equalise for the hosts.
17'
Baku vs. Mwene looking interesting
There is a nice battle emerging between the German and the Austrian. The Mainz wing-back draws a foul from Baku on this occasion, but there are likely to be many more duels to come between the two in the rest of this game.
14'
First corner for the hosts
Arnold's free kick only finds the head of Burkardt, as Koulierakis is happy to let the striker's clearance bobble out for a corner. However, the resulting set-piece is cleared comfortably by the Mainz defence.
11'
Tidy finish
The visitors steal back possession in Wolfsburg's half and move it quickly as Sano plays it across to Nebel, who dribbles forward sharply before slotting it past Grabara and into the bottom-left corner.
10'
Over from Mwene
Mainz's number two charges in towards the back post to get on the end of a Mainz cross into the box, but he nods it over the target.
9'
First foray forward
The away side enjoy their first bit of possession in Wolfsburg's final third. Lee chips it forward to Burkardt in the box, but the striker's attempted cross in from the left side of the area hits a defender and then bounces back off the Zerofivers' captain and goes out for a goal kick.
5'
Early change
Unfortunately, da Costa, who had been playing well recently on the right of Mainz's back three, is unable to continue, and is replaced by Hanche-Olsen.
