Dieter Hecking's view on facing Gladbach

"Mönchengladbach will be aiming to win against the league's bottom team. We have to be prepared for that. If the game doesn't go the way Borussia wants it to and the fans get nervous, that's down to us. If we can put the stadium on edge, we have the opportunity to hurt our opponents. We put in a good performance last week and now we have a chance to do it again in Gladbach."
camera-photo

Gerardo Seoane's view on facing Bochum

"The overarching requirement for us against Bochum is to show the defensive stability that served us so well before Christmas. Bochum will approach the contest with a clear plan as they are particularly strong in key areas. However, we are the home side and so we want to take the game to the opponent in order to force them into errors. With the fans behind us, we want to get our first good result of the new year."

Familiar faces

Hecking spent two-and-a-half years in charge of Gladbach between December 2016 and June 2019, the now Bochum head coach overseeing 86 Bundesliga games. Kevin Stöger, meanwhile, made 64 Bundesliga appearances in Bochum colours, before moving to Borussia-Park in summer 2024.
