Porath wins a corner

Kiel work it nicely out to the left where Porath's ball back across is blocked behind for a corner. As has been the case all afternoon, the deep hit corner from Kiel is squandered again.

Pichler's blushes spared

In a carbon copy of their first goal, Pichler breaks behind the Bochum lines but drags his shot wide from close range. The offside flag is raised afterwards anyhow.
80'

A late push for Kiel

Kiel haven't lost their energy just yet, but as has been the case for most of the game, the final pass can never quite seem to find its target. They seek a goal to avoid losing their opening four Bundesliga games.
79'

Passlack booked

His foul breaks up a promising attack for Kiel and allows Bochum to get back. He sees yellow.
77'

Hofmann booked

The forward sees a yellow card for impeding the restart for the visitors after a foul.

Not enough on it from Arp

Good chance for Bochum

Their first good chance of the second half is set up by substitute Kwarteng, who plays Broschinski through. His hard right-footed shot down to the keeper's right is well saved and goes behind for a corner.

Big chance for Gigovic

Rosenboom works the ball down the right before squaring it to Gigovic from the byline, but the winger can only put it over in a chance very similar to that from Kelati in the first half. But this is better from Kiel.
60'

Long throw-in

A new trick is implemented by Kiel on their set pieces as a long throw goes into the box, where it almost finds Pichler, but is cleared away.
56'

Kelati goes close

A cross from the left is met by Rosenboom, who knocks it down to Kelati on the edge of the box. The shot is hesitant and dragged narrowly wide past the left post.
53'

Momentum fading

A few early fouls, and players picking up knocks has just taken the sting out of the start of this second half. Both teams seem more inclined to play long than they did in the first half.
