Full-time Kiel 2-4 Frankfurt
The visitors come away from their trip to the north as deserved winners. Kiel did well to come back twice in the fashion they did but the unplayable Marmoush was the difference between the two sides today. The striker is in scintillating form, grabbing himself two goals and two assists today. He finishes matchday five as the Bunesliga's leading goalscorer, and Frankfurt make it four wins in a row now. Kiel will have to wait for that all-important first win.

Machino again!
He's in electric form! A corner from Holtby is cleared to the edge of the box by Frankfurt, but it falls to Machino, who strikes first time and smashes it home at the near post. Kiel are level again. That's Machino's fourth this season.

Half-time: Kiel 1-1 Frankfurt
The teams go in at half-time all square. After a slow start to the game, visitors Frankfurt grew into it, taking the lead through another goal from Marmoush, which the keeper could have maybe done better with. But a foul from Koch on Holtby gave the hosts a penalty and a lifeline back into this game, after it was dispatched by Machino. Two late chances from Marmoush were saved, leaving it 1-1 at the break.

Goal disallowed!
Frankfurt lose the ball playing out from the back. Holtby lays it into Machino who finishes again, but it's disallowed as Tuta is deemed to have been fouled in the buildup. That was risky from Frankfurt.

Machino equalises!
Last week's late hero steps up again for Kiel and dispatches the penalty into the bottom right corner! That's two in two for the Japanese international. All square here - game on!

Penalty for Kiel!

Marmoush continues red hot form!
That's a goal in his last four Bundesliga games now. Tuta clears it to Marmoush on the half-way line, who dribbles up and gets a low left-footed shot away at the near post and Weiner can't get down quick enough. The keeper will be disappointed with himself there, but from start to finish that was too easy for Frankfurt.
24'
Disappointing for Storks
Kiel find themselves with a three on two. The ball is headed down to a free Rosenboom, whose first touch lets him down and prevents him from having a one on one situation with the goalkeeper. He puts in a good cross to Pichler, who heads towards goal but Santos gathers comfortably. Kiel could have had more from that...
18'
So close for Eintracht!
A teasing cross from Dina Abimbe is rolled in towards the back post where it is cut back to an unmarked Marmoush. He gets his shot away and it's narrowly deflected behind for a corner. Nothing comes from the set piece, but Frankfurt are growing into this game here.

Long throw-in
Kiel get a long ball into the box from the touchline and it pinballs around the box but Frankfurt get it clear. Frankfurt struggled with those midweek so Kiel will hope for more of the same. A positive start for the hosts.

Kiel still searching for win

Getting the better of the new boys
The Eagles are unbeaten in their previous 11 matches against newly-promoted outfits, while they picked up 10 out of possible 12 points against the newly-promoted sides during the 2023/24 term.
Tale of the tape
There has been just one previous meeting between these two sides since the Bundesliga's foundation - a 1996/97 DFB Cup first-round clash. On that occasion, Frankfurt prevailed 4-2, a result Dino Toppmöller would be happy to see repeated here.
Walk like an Egyptian
Marmoush has scored four times across the last three games, but has never fired in four straight Bundesliga matches.
