Full-time: Hoffenheim 3-4 Werder Bremen

Jens Stage's hat-trick has seen Bremen complete a remarkable comeback and move up to tenth in the table. Hoffenheim are left shaking their heads after their three-goal early lead evaporated and they are now without a win in five in all competitions.

Half-time: Hoffenheim 3-3 Werder Bremem

A bonkers encounter goes level into the break - but the scorelines barely scratches the surface of the story. Hoffenheim tore in front, going 3-0 up after 12 minutes, only for Nsoki's red card to transform the tie and allow Werder Bremen to battle back and level - with Bülter and Stage both grabbing braces.

The players are heading out

Werner on Hoffenheim

"You can't spend five days analysing a game [the 5-0 loss to Bayern] that's behind you. The process is no different after wins or defeats. We analyse and name the mistakes, then you have one or two days off training where you can be angry, and then it's always about the next game and not the last one. Hoffenheim are really good in looking to play and very variable up front. For us, it's about our issues, being clean in our own possession and not making too many mistakes, to prevent their transition game from coming to fruition."
camera-photo

Matarazzo on Bremen

"Bremen may have lost 5-0 to Bayern last week, but otherwise they've started the season well. They'll want to show a reaction. We need the highest possible level of energy. It's understandable there will be mistakes in our game in our situation, but how we deal with that is what counts. The togetherness we saw against Midtjylland is the foundation of our play."

Blunt attack

Bremen have fired off the fewest goal attempts so far in 2024/25, with 30. Against Bayern, they didn't manage a single one.
