Warning from Hofmann
Leverkusen's Hofmann insists there will be no complacency at his club this season. "You can see it in training," he said. "If you have an eye for it, if you watch individual players, how they implement what the coach wants, how they do their thing in individual situations, then you realise: Nobody here will do even one percent less than last season."

Watch: Stuttgart optimistic about Supercup scalp
Wirtz wary of Stuttgart
Ahead of the final, Leverkusen's star man Florian Wirtz spoke about the difficulty of the task that his side will face on Saturday, telling bundesliga.com: "We played them three times last season, twice in the Bundesliga and once in the cup. Every time it was a really good football game, quite evenly balanced and it wasn't easy to win.”
Captain Karazor
Midfielder Atakan Karazor has been named as the new club captain, following the departure of Waldemar Anton to Borussia Dortmund earlier this summer. The 27-year-old midfielder has made 141 appearances for the club since joining from Holstein Kiel in 2019, and will now wear the armband in Saturday's final.
Undav returns
Deniz Undav's permanent signing will provide a boost for Stuttgart going into the Supercup final, as the Germany international scored 18 Bundesliga goals for the side last season.
