Stöger's free-kick for his first goal of the season helped Gladbach earn a vital win over relegation rivals St. Pauli.
For fans voting on the Bundesliga app, it was a tight result as Stöger narrowly beat teammate Jens Castrop, Hamburg's Fábio Vieira and Michael Olise of Bayern Munich.
