Arijon Ibrahimović to be part of Bayern Munich first-team in 2026/27
Bayern Munich are planning to fully integrate Arijon Ibrahimović into Vincent Kompany's first-team squad for the 2026/27 campaign.
Ibrahimović, whose contract at Bayern runs until 30 June 2028, spent last season on loan at Heidenheim, where he registered two goals and five assists in 34 competitive appearances.
That was enough to sway Kompany to give the 20-year-old a shot in the Bayern first-team pool for 2026/27.
"Arijon joined Bayern at the age of 12 and has made his way through our campus and targeted loan spells step by step," said sporting director Christoph Freund, referring to past stints in Seria A with Frosinone Calcio and Lazio.
"He learned a great deal, especially during his very successful year in Heidenheim, which has prepared him for Bayern," Freund continued. "His development exemplifies the opportunities we offer our young talents. Now it's no longer just about learning for him – now it's about making his mark here."
Ibrahimović made his debut for Bayern in February 2023 as a second-half substitute in a 3-0 Bundesliga win over Bochum and has otherwise made three further cameo appearances for the record champions.
A two-time Germany U21 international, Ibrahimović will now aim to get ready for Bayern's new season, which will kick off with the Franz Beckenbauer Supercup against Borussia Dortmund on 22 August.
