Bayern draw Atletico Madrid and Salzburg in UEFA Champions League group stage; Dortmund face Zenit
Bayern Munich will begin the defence of their UEFA Champions League crown against Atletico Madrid, Red Bull Salzburg and Lokomotiv Moscow following Thursday's group stage draw in Nyon, Switzerland.
Borussia Dortmund will face Zenit St. Petersburg, Lazio and Club Brugge in Group F.
RB Leipzig - semi-finalists last season - kick off their campaign in Group H alongside last year's losing finalists Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United and Istanbul Basaksehir.
Borussia Mönchengladbach - returning to the competition after a four-year hiatus - will face Real Madrid, Inter Milan and Shakhtar Donetsk in Group B.
Bayern have been European champions six times. Dortmund, who were pipped by Bayern in the all-German 2013 showpiece, last lifted the title in 1997, while Gladbach were European Cup runners up in 1977. Leipzig are embarking on just their third Champions League campaign.
