Jamal Musiala marked his return to Bundesliga action with a goal and an assist as Bayern Munich beat Bochum 5-0 to return to the top of the Bundesliga standings.

Bochum 0-5 Bayern Munich
Goals: 0-1 Olise 16', 0-2 Musiala 26' (assist: Kimmich), 0-3 Kane 57' (assist: Musiala), 0-4 Sané (65'), 0-5 Coman 71' (assist: Davies)

The match began with Bochum showing early promise, nearly taking a surprise lead through Moritz Broschinski, who found himself one-on-one with Manuel Neuer in the 8th minute. Minjae Kim got back to make a crucial clearance off the line. However, Bayern's quality soon shone through. Michael Olise broke the deadlock in the 16th minute with a sublime free-kick, curling the ball over the wall and beyond the reach of Bochum's keeper Patrick Drewes. Musiala made his presence felt on his Bundesliga return, doubling the lead in the 26th minute with a clever header from a Joshua Kimmich free-kick, catching the Bochum defence napping. The second half saw Bayern step up another gear. Harry Kane continued his prolific form, adding a third in the 57th minute after a brilliant assist from Musiala. Kane's clinical finish marked his ninth Bundesliga goal of the season. Bayern manager Vincent Kompany then made a triple substitution, bringing on Thomas Müller, Leroy Sané, and Leon Goretzka. The change paid immediate dividends as Sané, just four minutes after coming on, scored a stunning fourth with a curling effort from the edge of the box. Kingsley Coman then put the icing on the cake with a spectacular hit in the 71st minute, his shot from 23.67 meters clipping the underside of the crossbar on its way in. Bochum, despite their early promise, were thoroughly outclassed and unable to muster a response to Bayern's onslaught.
