Werder Bremen sign Moussa Ndiaye
Werder Bremen have confirmed the signing of Moussa Ndiaye on loan from Anderlecht.
The left-back will join up with the Werderaner for the remainder of the 2026/27 campaign.
Bremen head coach Daniel Thioune said of the deal, "Moussa perfectly fits our profile: strong in tackles, capable of contributing offensively, and with a good balance between covering and pushing forward. He has already shown in Germany that he can hold his own and will give us more versatility on the left side."
Meanwhile, Ndiaye said, "I already know football in Germany and some Bundesliga stadiums, and I know how intense and passionate football is played here. Werder are a club with a great tradition, and I had a good feeling from the start during the talks. I want to help the team with my experience."
Ndiaye makes the switch to the Weserstadion from Belgian club Anderlecht, where he made 109 appearances in all competitions. In January, he joined Schalke on loan for the second half of the 2025/26 term, helping the Royal Blues win promotion back to the top flight. The 24-year-old was also part of Senegal's FIFA World Cup 2026 squad, but did not get onto the pitch throughout the tournament.
The new arrival is Bremen's 13th incoming of the transfer window. They started the new season by winning 3-0 against Lüneberger SK Hansa in the DFB Cup, but followed that up with an opening-weekend 4-1 defeat to Freiburg in the Bundesliga. Ndiaye, meanwhile, could make his debut for Werder against RB Leipzig on Saturday.
