Schmidt is in Fortuna's starting line-up for the first time since the 2-2 draw against Köln on matchday 6. Pejčinović is making his starting eleven debut, having previously made only five substitute appearances.
Elversberg unchanged
Coach Horst Steffen sends out the same starting eleven that began in the 3-1 home victory against Hannover on the last matchday. Steffen is not a fan of rotation; in fact, this is the fifth time this season he has started with the same initial formation as on the previous matchday.

On the last matchday, Fortuna managed to secure at least a 1-1 draw against Paderborn with a very late goal, but before that, there were defeats in Münster and against Kaiserslautern.
