LINE-UPS COMING SOON
With kick-off now just an hour away, the starting line-ups are due out any moment now. We'll bring you the team news as soon as it arrives.
ONE TO WATCH: WOUT WEGHORST
Weghorst is enjoying a successful debut season in the Bundesliga with Wolfsburg and is the club's leading scorer with nine league goals so far. Earlier in the campaign he dovetailed nicely with fellow forward Daniel Ginczek, but after the latter sustained a long-term injury during the winter break, Weghorst is seemingly thriving on the extra responsibility up front: the 26-year-old has struc three times in his last four games, and provided two assists to boot.
ADVANTAGE BREMEN?
Today's visitors have history on their side ahead of kick-off, having won five of the six most recent Bundesliga meetings between the teams, scoring 13 times over that period and conceding just six. However, Wolfsburg took the spoils in all six outings immediately preceding that. Overall, Bremen have won 21 of the 46 encounters to Wolfsburg's 17, with eight draws.
SOMETHING HAS TO GIVE
Wolfsburg come into this game unbeaten in their last four Bundesliga outings, with 10 points from the last 12 available giving them legitimate hope of qualifying for Europe next season. A win here would lift them back to fifth in the standings. Meanwhile, Bremen are one of only two teams unbeaten at all in 2019 (Frankfurt are the other one) and victory for them could reignite their own European ambitions.
