Bayern back on top
For a short period in the first half it looked like Bayern might have a frustrating day, but they've simply blown Wolfsburg away today, with Bruno Labbadia losing against the Bavarians for a 15th consecutive time. Lewandowsk bagged two, Ribery assisted three and Müller, Gnabry and James all shone. Just about the perfect day for Kovac's men, who go back to the league's summit for the first time since late September.

Underway again!
So away we go again, with Bayern 45 minutes away from going two points clear - as things stand - at the top of the table.
89'
Dortmund in the lead
BVB have re-taken the lead at home to Stuttgart, but Bayern remain top of the table on goal difference.
87'
Lewy has a brace
Ribery has been on the pitch less than half an hour and already has three assists! He advances into the box and clips a cross into the near post, where Lewandowski glances a wonderful header past the 'keeper. Wolfsburg are on the end of another severe hiding in Bavaria.
84'
Kimmich makes it five
Bayern scored five at Gladbach and they've scored five today, Kimmich nodding in from Ribery's cross. This is brutal from the home side.
81'
Müller gets in on the act
After a week in which he was dropped indefinitely from the Germany national team, Müller has reminded everyone of his quality with a cool finish on his left foot from 12 yards. To a man, Bayern have really have been excellent today.

Goal at Signal Iduna Park...
....and it's Stuttgart that have scored it! Dortmund and Stuttgart are level at 1-1 and that means Bayern are back on top of the table, two points clear of BVB! The crowd sees it flash up on the screen and up goes the roar! Bayern are heading top of the table for the first time in six months, since Matchday 5 in late September. On comes Renato Sanches for James, who has been excellent once again this afternoon.

Lewandowski shoots wide!
This is the attitude you want to see if you're a Bayern fan - they're cruising at 3-0 but they want more. Thiago puts in a brilliant challenge to stop Maximilian Arnold and suddenly Lewandowski is advancing on the defence. He skips past one defender and then another and shoots... but it's wide!
63'
Goal for Dortmund!
Now then, there is some news from Signal Iduna Park and it's not great news for the Bavarians. Dortmund have scored against Stuttgart and by virtue of leading 1-0, have gone back to the top of the table courtesy of their head-to-head record with Bayern, since the two sides are level on points, goal difference and goals scored. There's a smattering of boos when the score flashes up on the Allianz Arena big screen, but the home side will know they can do no more than keep winning. And that looks like what they're going to do today.
55'
Ribery and Goretzka on
Off go Gnabry and Javi Martinez and on come Ribery and Leon Goretzka. Kovac clearly has more than an eye on Liverpool next week.
53'
Unbelievable from James
If Bayern do win the league, James will have played a major part. The quality he has on the ball is just remarkable: after taking out the Wolfsburg defence to create the second goal, he's now scored the third with a supremely styllsh finish into the corner. Bayern look to be home and dry here, and Kovac is about to make some changes.
50'
Bayern on the attack
Gnabry had an excellent first half, making one and scoring another, and he slips in Rafinha but the Brazilian is offside. On the sidelines, Franck Ribery is warming up, and you wonder if Gnabry might be replaced soon to keep him fresh for the visit of Liverpool on Wednesday in the Champions League last 16.

Bayern in control
After a determined start by Wolfsburg, who defended well and in numbers, but a lapse in concentration allowed Gnabry to open the scoring and James' wonderful pass created the second goal for Lewandowski. So far so good for Niko Kovac's men. See you shortly for the second half!

Title race check-in
It's currently goalless in Dortmund's home game with struggling Stuttgart, and news will have surely filtered through that the Reds are two goals to the good here. Plenty more football to be played today and in the season, of course, but this is a good day for the Bavarians, who are on course for a 12th league win in 13 games.
37'
Lewandowski the record-holder!
Wow, just wow. I said ballet before, this is Bayern waltzing through the away defence and Lewandowski scoring a simple goal to make history. James makes it by sliding a brilliant pass through to Gnabry that takes out the entire defence, and Gnabry unselfishly squares for the Pole to tap home. That's Bundesliga goal no.196 and he's now the leading non-German scorer in the league's history. What an achievement!
34'
Breakthrough!
This is a good goal and what a way for Gnabry to celebrate signing a new contract! Kimmich and Müller work the ball well down the right hand side and the latter sends a cross into the six-yard box. Gnabry has the run on a defender and steals in to tap home from a few yards out, and that's a big goal in the title race.
29'
Clean sheet king
Casteels has kept eight shut-outs this season, more than Manuel Neuer's seven, and he shows why with a smart stop to deny Lewandowski from the edge of the box. Bayern quickened the pace of their play for that attack and managed to open the visiting defence up. Credit to Casteels for a smart stop. This is an intriguing game of cat and mouse in Bavaria.
27'
Wolfsburg solid
It's becoming clear why Wolfsburg are unbeaten in five and haven't conceded a goal in nearly four hours of football. They're well organised, tenacious in the tackle and not taking many risks. It also goes some way to explaining why they have the second best away record in the league this season.
16'
Early press from Wolfsburg
Wolfsburg have played a lot of counter-attacking football this season - most recently in beating Gladbach 3-0 away from home - and they're engaging in some early pressing so far. Wout Wieghorst is the man leading the effort, and it's clear Labbadia's plan is to try to seize possession high up the pitch. It's a low-risk ploy and it's working to decent effect so far.
11'
More defending for the visitors
James Rodriguez has been quiet thus far but he plays in Gnabry, who is denied by a good tackle in the box. James then wins it back and sends in a cross but Casteels snaffles it. The hosts are dominating, but are yet to carve out a really clear-cut chance.
9'
Roussillon to the rescue
Jerome Roussillon has announced himself with some superb defending, coming across on the cover to intercept Gnabry's pass for Müller, winning possession strongly and starting off a Wolfsburg attack. He's been in excellent form this season has the young Frenchman, missing just two games in the league this season.
5'
Bayern on the offensive
This could be a long day for Wolfsburg. After Lewandowski's early sighter, Serge Gnabry has shot over the bar and Müller has just seen a cross claimed by Casteels after a powerful run into the box.
2'
Lewandowski tests Casteels!
Well that was almost his 20th goal against the Wolves, and less than two minutes into the game! Thomas Müller collects the ball and chips a dainty little pass into the box, which Lewandowski collects in balletic fashion and pokes a shot towards goal that Koen Casteels saves smartly. Just the start Bayern would have been looking for.

Away we go!
So we're underway at the Allianz Arena! Let's see what drama unfolds in the next 90 minutes!

Hope for the visitors
It's not all doom and gloom for Bruno Labbadia's Wolfsburg though. They're unbeaten in five matches, and after surviving the drop last season have had a solid campaign this year thus far. They come into this match seventh in the table and claimed a creditable 2-2 draw, coming back from two goals down, on their last trip to Munich in September 2017.
More history to be made
And let's also not forget that Lewandowski his currently level with Claudio Pizarro on 195 Bundesliga goals. One more and he'll be the highest-scoring non-German player in the league's 56-year history. What an achievement, and he's still just 30 years of age.
And who can forget...
....the five goals in nine minutes? Rewind back to 2015/16 and this very fixture. Unhappy at being benched by Pep Guardiola, Lewandowski came off the bench to score five times in nine second-half minutes and blow Wolfsburg away singlehandedly in one of the greatest individual performances in Bundesliga history. It's fair to say Wolfsburg are probably sick of the sight of him.
Lewandowski to make hay? Quite possibly
Robert Lewandowski leads the line for the hosts today, and if you're a Wolfsburg (or Dortmund) fan you can probably be forgiven for fearing the worst. The Pole has 19 goals - NINETEEN - against the Wolves in 17 matches for BVB and Bayern. NINETEEN!
