FULL-TIME VERDICT
It was a demonstrative display from Leipzig, who turned on the style with Poulsen scoring his first hat-trick of the season, Werner supplying two assists and Forsberg getting his second of the campaign. Adams pulled the strings in midfield and got an assist of his own as Hertha were crushed in the Red Bull Arena.

NO CHANGES
We are back underway at the Red Bull Arena - no changes in personnel, but will there be any changes in the result?
89'
DUDA MISS
Hertha are finishing with a flurry here, Duda the next to go close to scoring. It says a lot about their character that they are still creating chances with the game effectively over, and that is something Pal Dardai can be encouraged by.
87'
WHEN THINGS AREN'T GOING YOUR WAY...
That was a chance Selke would have converted 99 times out of 100, but not tonight. Alone, just two yards out, he manages to get his foot under the ball and scoop it over the crossbar. It seemed easier to score, but not on a night like tonight.
85'
CRASH!
Cunha clatters into Jarstein, who after a few seconds getting his bearings, is able to continue. Losing their number one would have added insult to injury for Hertha.
83'
CUSHION ESTABLISHED
Barring an epic collapse, Leipzig are set to put six points between themselves and fifth-placed Frankfurt, who are in action tomorrow. This is a big win in terms of Champions League qualification next season.
79'
SABITZER CLOSE!
Almost a sixth goal for Leipzig with Sabitzer nearly getting in on the action, but a good save from Jarstein turns the ball behind for a corner.
77'
OVER BUT NOT OUT
Werner sends yet another shot sailing over the crossbar. He too could have had a hat-trick, but there is still time for him to add to his two assists with a goal.
76'
OVATIONS
Another ovation, this time for Forsberg, as Sabitzer comes on for the final 15 minutes.
71'
ADAMS: PASS MASTER
Another exquisite pass from Adams sets up Kampl, whose angled shot is turned behind by Jarstein. Leipzig seeking a sixth here.
70'
JOB DONE
Poulsen gets a standing ovation as his shift ends early, Cunha coming on. Poulsen applauds the stadium, but perhaps he would have liked to stay on and seek a fourth.
68'
CONSOLATION?
Kalou has a chance for Hertha, but the offside flag is raised anyway. It's been one of those days for Hertha.
64'
FIVE-STAR LEIPZIG
Haidara adds the fifth for a rampant Leipzig side and the stadium erupts. Kampl sends Werner down the left and he tees up his team-mate to side-foot the ball into the bottom corner. That's two assists now for Werner – can he crown his performance with a goal?
62'
HAT-TRICK HERO
There's the hat-trick for Poulsen, who converts an outstanding pass from Adams with a cheeky lob which, when you're in the kind of form he is in, tend to come off. Credit to Adams for that remarkable assist.
61'
GREAT DANE
Poulsen is only the third Danish player after Ebbe Sand and Allan Simonsen to score 14 in a single Bundesliga season. Sand managed that twice (last in 2000/01), with Simonsen doing so in three seasons.
59'
SELKE OFFSIDE
The frustration comes to the surface again for Selke, who kicks the ball away after the offside flag is raised to deny him a one-on-one situation.
57'
14 FOR POULSEN
Poulsen moves onto 14 goals for the season and completes his sixth brace, finishing off yet another outstanding move. Forsberg turns on a sixpence in midfield before playing an inch-perfect pass into Poulsen's path, and the Dane coolly picks his spot in the far corner. Could that be curtains for Hertha?
56'
KONATE CLOSE
From the corner, Konate's header is cleared off the line and Poulsen, slightly off balance, turns the rebound wide.
55'
NOT WERNER'S NIGHT!
Another big chance for Werner as he has only Jarstein to beat, but the Hertha goalkeeper turns the Germany international's shot behind for a corner. Will Werner score tonight?
52'
LEIPZIG STILL IN COMMAND
The way Leipzig have come out of the blocks in this second half, there is little to suggest they are going to relinquish this lead. In fact, they have never let a two-goal half-time lead slip in the Bundesliga.
49'
WERNER MISS!
Forsberg got the ball caught between his legs from Mukiele's cross, but he still manages to carve out a backheel pass for Werner, although he blazes his shot over the crossbar.

LETHAL LEIPZIG
Leipzig had nine shots in the first half, but only two of them were on target. You guessed it, both went in. Lethal.
45'
HALF-TIME
Leipzig are deserving of their lead, playing some mouthwatering football and leaving Hertha chasing shadows at times in this first 45 minutes. And with Poulsen on target, they are guaranteed victory now, or at least that is what the statistics say. Can Hertha respond in the second half?
45'
HANDBAGS!
Selke squares up to Konate right under the referee's nose, as tensions rise in the middle of the field. Meanwhile, we enter into the one and only minute of allotted added time for this first half.
43'
POULSEN CLEARS
Duda whips in a dangerous free-kick, but Poulsen shows he can be handy at both ends of the field as he heads the ball clear. Danger over.
43'
FIRST LEIPZIG YELLOW
The first booking for a Leipzig player comes in a dangerous position, with Hertha preparing to take a free-kick...
40'
OMINOUS FOR THE OLD LADY
If Hertha are to get something out of this game, they are going to have to do something which has not been done yet this season: whenever Werner or Poulsen has scored this season, Leipzig have won (11 times).
39'
STARK INTERVENES
That could have been a tap-in for Werner had it not been for a great lunge from Germany international Stark at the near post. He underlines why he was given his national team debut during the recent international break.
37'
PROLIFIC POULSEN
Poulsen is Leipzig's top scorer with his 13th goal of the season, and his first against Hertha in six games. He might not have scored against Hertha before, but Leipzig have scored at least two against the capital club in each of their previous six meetings.
34'
SLICK LEIPZIG
Leipzig are almost literally dancing their way through the Hertha defence. Another slick move sends Forsberg through. When the route to goal is blocked, he finds Werner up in support, but he cannot get in a shot on the turn. Dancing with Bulls.
33'
EUROPE VANISHING
Hertha, on the other hand, would find themselves seven points behind a qualifying berth for the UEFA Europa League if things remain like this. Time for Pal Dardai's men to roll up their sleeves.
31'
EUROPE CALLING
With this two-goal lead, Leipzig are on their way to establishing a six-point cushion over fifth-placed Eintracht Frankfurt - who are in action tomorrow - in the race for one of four Bundesliga berths in the UEFA Champions League next season.
27'
POULSEN DOUBLES UP!
This time Werner does get his assist. Another lightning-fast break from Leipzig and Poulsen sends Werner racing through, keeps up with him and accepts the gift to stroke into the unguarded goal.
27'
NO TAKERS FROM WERNER!
Werner gets in around the back after yet another fast and fluid Leipzig move, but his cutback from the goal line is just behind Forsberg.
25'
FORSBERG IN FORM
Seven of Forsberg's 12 Bundesliga goals have given Leipzig a 1-0 lead, and this one has given him a big confidence boost. The Swede is currently posing the biggest threat up front for the hosts, and you would not bet against him getting another.
23'
LANDMARK GOAL
That goal from Forsberg was the 52,000th in the history of the Bundesliga, and the 750th of the current campaign. Landmarks.
19'
LEIPZIG EDGING IT
50/50 in terms of possession, but the hosts have had five shots on goal compared to two from the guests.
17'
FORSBERG STRIKES
It was certainly in the air and there it is! Forsberg skips past the last line of the Hertha defence and latches onto Kampl's delicate dink, before lifting his shot into the roof of the net. The hosts have the lead!
17'
FREE-KICK ROUTINE
Hertha get a free-kick 40 yards out and they try a training ground routine, but Leipzig are alert and clear their lines without too much difficulty. The chances are being made at both ends.
14'
FORSBERG CLOSE!
Half of the stadium thought that was in as the net rippled, but Emil Forsberg's free-kick has struck the side-netting. That was the closest we have come to a goal so far.
12'
POULSEN BLOCKED!
Poulsen gets in around the back and tries to whip in a dangerous cross, but it is turned behind for Leipzig's second corner of the game. That does not bring any danger, but the warning signs are there for the Hertha defence as the hosts seek a route to goal.
11'
BREATHLESS STUFF!
There is no break in the action here with an extremely high pace!
8'
HERTHA RESPOND
Two good chances for the guests as they finally get the chance to attack, but first Kalou and then Duda fail to make an impression.
5'
FIRST CORNER TO LEIPZIG
The hosts have made a bright start to the game and are putting the pressure on. They have forced the first corner, but Konate's header misses the target.
4'
WERNER IN TWO MINDS
The first half-chance of the game goes Leipzig's way, but Timo Werner does not seem to know whether to cross or shoot, and the result is somewhere between the two.
1'
KICK OFF!
There are 17 degrees on the thermometer in Leipzig as the action gets underway!

FIRST START FOR HAIDARA - MOUTHWATERING MIDFIELD PARTNERSHIP WITH ADAMS AHEAD?
He's been dubbed as Naby Keita's successor and idolised Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard - and now we get to see Amadou Haidara in the Bundesliga! "He's developed into an absolutely exceptional player at Salzburg," said Leipzig coach Ralf Rangnick after snapping up the Guinean in January. "There aren't many players his age with so much potential. He has all the requirements to follow in Naby Keita 's footsteps." Add fellow newboy Tyler Adams to the mix, and Leipzig have a dynamic and water-tight midfield to make opposition coaches wince. American Adams is yet to lose in the Bundesliga, remember.
