INTO INJURY TIME
There'll be four additional minutes in Nuremberg.

IMMEDIATE RESPONSE!
Nuremberg's lead lasted less than three minutes after they fail to clear a corner and centre-back Matija Nastasic turns home a shot for his maiden goal of the campaign. We're level once again in this battle at the bottom.

A DESERVED LEAD
Pereira and Kubo had a misunderstanding earlier, but the pair combine to deadly effect this time with the Brazilian lofting a ball to the far post for the substitute to head home off the post and give Nuremberg a deserved lead with his first Bundesliga goal of the season. Eight of Der Club's 24 goals this season have come from substitutes.
79'
DOESN'T COUNT!
Now it's Schalke's turn to have a goal disallowed. This time it's Sane who turns home following a set piece, but the linesman's flag is raised for an offside in the build-up.
75'
SAVE!
Straight up the other end Matheus Pereira cuts inside onto his left foot and searches for the bottom corner, but Nübel is equal to it.
75'
EMBOLO!
The substitute has a great chance to give Schalke the lead as he meets an Oczipka cross to the far post unchallenged, but he fluffs his lines and smashes the turf in frustration.
70'
MISCOMMUNICATION
Nuremberg are back on the front foot now and find space as Pereira looks to feed Kubo in behind the Schalke defence, but the Brazilian and Japanese weren't quite on the same wavelength as to where the ball should go.
65'
OFF THE LINE!
The first attack Nuremberg have had this half and they almost make it count! Pereira slips in Ishak to the right, whose effort from a tight angle is saved by Nübel. The ball isn't clear yet, though, and Behrens tees up Kerk to try and force it home from 15 yards, but Nübel again gets a hand to the ball and Mascarell whacks clear off the line.
57'
CHANGE OF FORTUNES?
This second half has been almost the exact opposite of the first with Schalke looking much, much more lively. This time it's Nuremberg struggling to break out of their own half.
51'
HARIT!
The Moroccan lets fly from 20 yards and sees his effort deflected narrowly wide of the Nuremberg goal.

FCN CHANGE IMMINENT
The home side won't remain unchanged for much longer. Left-back Tim Leibold is struggling after what appears to have been a blow to the head. Yuya Kubo is getting ready...
46'
EMBOLO ON
Schalke interim boss Huub Stevens has decided to change things up after that first half and sends on top scorer Breel Embolo for Steven Skrzybski. Nuremberg return unchanged for the second 45 minutes.

NÜBEL SAVES!
The Schalke keeper makes amends, diving to his right to palm Behrens' spotkick around the post. It's the fourth time he's faced a penalty in the Bundesliga and the first he's saved! Nuremberg, on the other hand, have squandered a league-high three of their five spotkicks this season.

PENALTY!
Matheus Pereira is taken down by goalkeeper Alexander Nübel as he tries to round him and the referee points to the spot!
45'
A SLOW BURNER
It was a first half that took some time to get going but there was plenty of drama at the end with Nuremberg having a goal being ruled out and a penalty saved. The home side perhaps shaded the opening 45 minutes and will need to make that advantage count if they're to climb out of the automatic relegation positions, at least for tonight.
42'
BALL IN THE NET!
Nuremberg think they've taken the lead through Hanno Behrens but it won't count. The FCN skipper snuck in to intercept a chested backpass and flick the ball beyond goalkeeper Nübel, but the referee has whistled for a foul.
38'
OVER FROM BOUJELLAB
Nineteen-year-old Nassim Boujellab has a yard of space so decides to try his luck from range, but the academy graduate's effort is well over.
34'
JUST OVER!
It's Eduard Löwen who steps up for Nuremberg, looking to curl the ball over the wall from a short distance with his right boot, but the 22-year-old can't quite keep his effort down.
33'
CHANCE FOR NUREMBERG?
Ishak is taken out on the edge of the box by Schalke captain Stambouli and the hosts have a free-kick in a dangerous position...
29'
SKRZYBSKI STRUGGLING?
The Schalke forward got an assist on his last visit to the Max-Morlock-Stadion last season with Union Berlin, but he's struggled to get into this game so far with just three touches of the ball.
24'
NOT USED
Schalke have a first real opprtunity to get numbers forward as Daniel Caligiuri sends a long free-kick towards the Nuremberg penalty area, but it's cleared by the first man on the edge of the box.
21'
CONFIDENT NUREMBERG
They may be second from bottom and nine points worse off than Schalke, but Nuremberg appear the more confident team here, forcing Schalke back deep into their own half with some high pressing.
11'
SO CLOSE!
Nuremberg are applying plenty of pressure on Schalke with a succession of corners. The first was headed over by captain Hanno Behrens before an Omar Mascarell header almost beats his own goalkeeper.
9'
FIRST REAL CHANCE...
...And it falls to the home side with top scorer Mikael Ishak racing clear to the left of the box. Matheus Perreira is in complete space to his right but the Swede fails to pick out the Brazilian.

END TO END
There's a great atmosphere in Nuremberg tonight with two of the Bundesliga's friendliest clubs up against each other, and the teams on the pitch look to exchange pleasantries early on in the penalty boxes but neither side has managed to get a shot of note away yet.

SCHALKE SEEKING RARE AWAY WIN
The Royal Blues have had difficulties of their own on their travels this season (W3 D4 L7) and hopes of remedying that here will be tempered by the fact that it is almost 10 years since Schalke last beat Nuremberg away in the Bundesliga (a 2-1 triumph on 8 August 2009).
NO PLACE LIKE HOME?
One of the reasons for Nuremberg's predicament this term is their home form. They won twice on their own patch in September last year, but have only taken maximum spoils at the Max-Morlock Stadion once since then (a 3-0 victory over Augsburg in March). Overall, the team's home record this season is the third worst in the Bundesliga (W3 D5 L6), with just 14 goals scored and 16 conceded. Can they improve on that here?
GOALS GUARANTEED
Schalke won 5-2 earlier this season, continuing the high-scoring tendency in this fixture. Indeed, the past five meetings in all comptetitions have produced 20 goals (four per game on average), so the odds are good that there'll be plety of entertainment tonight.
WHATS AT STAKE?
Simply put: survival. Nuremberg are second bottom of the standings, four points adrift of Stuttgart in the relegation play-off place. Schalke, five points ahead of Stuttgart, are by no means safe yet either. We can therefore expect passions to run high as the teams scrap for their top-flight survival.
NUREMBERG TEAM NEWS
The hosts have gone with largely the same team that has taken four points from their last two games (a 1-1 draw with Stuttgart and a 3-0 win over Augsburg), with the only change being Sebastian Kerk coming into attacking midfield in place of Japanese playmaker Yuya Kubo.
SCHALKE TEAM NEWS
USA midfielder Weston McKennie has not been deemed fit enough to play here, despite recently returning to training following an ankle injury. With Nabil Bentaleb and Sebastian Rudy on the bench, the visitors have a new-look central midfield pairing with Amine Harit and Nassim Boujellab lining up in the middle of the park. Steven Skrzybski is preferred to Breel Embolo up front.
