SCHALKE WIN SPECTACULAR DERBY
Despite going one goal down, two goals from Daniel Caligiuri and help from Salif Sane and Breel Embolo helped Schalke turn the game around and stun Dortmund at the Signal Iduna Park. Marco Reus and Marius Wolf let their frustrations get the better of them in the second, both seeing red, which Schalke made the most of with two second half strikes. Four goals in each of Schalke's last two visits to Dortmund... will Bayern make the most of BVB's slip in the title race?

BACK UNDERWAY
Despite our tech issues, we can assure you that the second half has just now got underway.
90'
FOUR MINUTES ADDED ON!
We're into added time here in Dortmund, and the celebrations are sure to be wild in the Schalke end of the stadium.
86'
EMBOLO SEALS THE DEAL!
That, is surely that, for this incredible Revierderby. Embolo picks up the ball from Oczipka's pass on the edge of the box and smashing a fantastic, curling shot past Bürki and into the bottom corner.
84'
BVB SCORE WITH NINE MEN!
Bruun Larsen heads the ball back across goal and Witsel is alone at the back post to tap the ball into the net. Five minutes to play and one goal needed to level, can Dortmund stage an insane comeback as the heavens have opened and the rain is pouring down?
79'
BURGSTALLER FIRES WIDE
The Schalke forward takes a shot at goal from the right corner of the Dortmund box, but it floats just over Bürki and the Dortmund net. Schalke happy to sit back and take the result as it is, it would seem.
74'
DORTMUND STILL PUSHING
Despite how hard the task is, Dortmund are still pushing on and attempting to keep possession between the likes of Guerreiro, Götze and Sancho. Alcacer is in attack, and Witsel holding in midfield. While in defence, it's Akanji, Weigl and Diallo.
69'
BVB MIRACLE, OR SALT IN THE WOUNDS?
With two minutes to play and Schalke two goals up, it looks like this game can only go one way now. But we know what the Bundesliga is like, and Dortmund could still produce an incredible comeback. However, Schalke are in control of the ball and look unlikely to let this slip.
65'
MARIUS WOLF SENT OFF
Borussia Dortmund are down to nine men for an identical foul from Reus' on Serdar, and Marius Wolf is sent off.
63'
GUERREIRO CAN'T PICK OUT A MAN
The winger does so well to get into the box, beating a couple of Schalke defenders with some sumptuous dribbling skill. He then cuts back, but can't find Sancho with his cross as Nübel saves.
62'
WOW! WOW! WOW!
What an incredible, outstanding and utterly unbelievable goal from Daniel Caligiuri. He smashes the free-kick from Reus' foul towards goal, and it curls perfectly over the wall and into the top corner of Bürki's net.
59'
REUS SENT OFF
Marco Reus is sent off for a foul from behind on Suat Serdar.
57'
ALCACER ON FOR DELANEY
The Spaniard comes on to replace the Danish midfielder with goals the order of the day for Dortmund in this second half.
50'
DORTMUND ATTEMPTING TO FORCE THE AGENDA EARLY
The home side are pressing high and looking to get the ball and keep it in this second half, with attack the only thing on their minds, of course.

ALL DORTMUND, EXCEPT FOR THE SCORELINE
75 per cent of possession for Dortmund, with the home side completing 345 passes in comparison to Schalke's 50. In terms of attempts on goal, it's only in Dortmund's favour by 5-4 and half of Schalke's attempts have found the back of the Dortmund net.
44'
NASTASIC HEADS WIDE
Almost deja-vu for Dortmund as a corner swings into the box, and onto a Schalke head. But Nastiasic puts the ball wide of Bürki's goal this time...
40'
SCHALKE CLINICAL SO FAR
Huub Stevens' side have had just 22 per cent of possession so far, and have scored twice from three attempts on goal.
39'
NÜBEL KEEPS REUS OUT
The Dortmund captain finds his way through the Schalke defence inside the away side's box from the left and bares down on Nübel's near post. He goes for goal, but the young goalkeeper stays big and keeps his effort out.
35'
DELANEY MISSES THE TARGET AGAIN
Superb dribbling run into the box from Sancho sees him skip beyond three or four defenders before trying to play the ball across goal. It deflects back out to Delaney, though, but he can't keep his shot on target to force Nübel into a save.
31'
SCHALKE REMAIN ON TOP
The away side aren't letting their pressure over Dortmund fade away now they've gone ahead. Akanji clears the ball off the Dortmund line after Embolo's flick across the box, but the home side are now trying to take control of the ball once again in what has been a fascinating first half.
28'
SCHALKE SILENCE DORTMUND AGAIN!
Caligiuri turns provider as his corner is a fantastic one, and finds the head of Salif Sane up from defence. He rises highest and powers the ball into the bottom corner far beyond Bürki's reach. The home side had been looking flustered in the last few minutes since Schalke's equaliser, and now they have a real uphill struggle to overcome.
24'
AKANJI AND SANE COLLIDE
It looks like the Schalke defender has come off worse as the pair of centre-backs collided in the Schalke box, both looking to get on the end of a Dortmund free-kick. They're both up now, though, and look able to continue.
18'
CALIGIURI SLOTS HOME
The full-back scores another penalty, his sixth of the season to bring the game level here in Dortmund. VAR checked the situation and awarded a penalty, which the Italian sent into the Dortmund net with Bürki diving the wrong way.
17'
SCHALKE PENALTY!
A normal cross into the box to Embolo sees the Swiss forward hit the ball at Weigl, and after a check with VAR, a penalty is awarded for handball.
14'
WHAT A STUNNING GOAL!
That's your winner of the Assist of the Season award already from Jadon Sancho, the leader of the assist table in the Bundesliga. His 14th comes with a lob into the box which is perfectly timed and meets Götze's run, which the German heads home.
10'
DELANEY FIRES WIDE
First effort on goal of the day comes from the Danish midfielder. Sancho is on the edge of the box and plays the ball across to Witsel, who lays it off for Delaney to run up and strike, but his shot leaves the ball always rising beyond the Schalke goal.
9'
END-TO-END SO FAR
Dortmund have enjoyed most of the possession, but Schalke are doing well to stifle any attacking movements. Sancho is being closed down well, as is Reus in his No.10 role. And both sides are still struggling to keep the ball, with pressing the order of the day.
5'
FINDING THEIR FEET
Both sides feeling each other out so far in the Signal Iduna Park. Mistakes aplenty in midfield in the opening minutes, with neither outfit able to take true control of the ball as we remain in search of our first shot in the game. You can tell it's tense for the players down on the pitch.

UNDERWAY IN DORTMUND!

YOULL NEVER WALK ALONE RINGS OUT
The home fans have their scarves high to the sky as they belt out their latest rendition of "You'll Never Walk Alone" at the Signal Iduna Park.
CAN BVB GO TOP, OR SCHALKE CLOSE ON SURVIVAL?
A win for Dortmund today will take BVB top of the Bundesliga, at least until tomorrow, when Bayern Munich face Nuremberg. While a win for the Royal Blues would take them nine points clear of Stuttgart and the relegation play-off spot, should they also lose this evening when they face Gladbach.
WHAT CLASSIC AWAITS US TODAY?
What was the mother of the mother of all derbies? Perhaps the 2017/18 edition in Dortmund, in which the hosts led 4-0 after just half an hour. Job done? Think again! Schalke hit back in the second half and Naldo's 94th-minute header earned the Royal Blues a 4-4 draw. Or what about the time Jens Lehmann stole the headlines on 19 December 1997? The former Germany international rose to head home in the 90th minute in a thrilling 2-2 draw, in the process becoming the first-ever goalkeeper in the Bundesliga to score an outfield goal. Now we wait to see what piece of history will be written today at the Signal Iduna Park.
AS WE EXPECTED
Just one change has been made from either side as Bastian Oczipka comes in to replace Jonas Carls for Schalke at left wing-back. Dortmund are unchanged after Marius Wolf overcame a knock from last weekend's away win at Freiburg.

WHAT ARE THEY SAYING?
Take a look below to see what members of the Borussia Dortmund and Schalke teams have been saying before today. In around 30 minutes, we'll have the official team line-ups for you...
BENJAMIN STAMBOULI
"To win in this situation is something that can really help us out in the table, but it'll also be a big victory in our hearts because we know this game is a derby and it’s so special that you're waiting six months to play it. To win it is just something amazing. I had the chance to live it and this is something that if I could live it every day, I would sign up straight away. We can save our season with a win."
THOMAS DELANEY
"Schalke have nothing to lose. Looking at the table, we are clear favourites and have done better this season. They are probably going to come hard at us and will just try to go all out. This is always difficult to prepare for and a derby game always has a life of its own. It doesn’t matter if we won 4-0 or lost 4-0 the week before, the game starts again from 0-0."
MATIJA NASTASIC
"For the fans, the club, the players and the city, it’s definitely one of the most if not the most important game of the year. It’s always something different with a derby. You feel the excitement all week. Where you are in the table isn’t important in a derby. We’re not the favourites, but I believe in us."
AXEL WITSEL
"The atmosphere against Bayern was extraordinary, but that pales in comparison to the game against Schalke. The fans didn't stop singing and celebrating after [the win at Schalke]. When they greeted us from the bus it was wild. That's when I knew how important it is to win the derby. I can feel the excitement in the air."
THE MOTHER OF ALL DERBIES
Finally, it's back. The Revierderby returns to the Bundesliga for the second time this season as Borussia Dortmund host Schalke. Normally extra incentives aren't required for this game, with form and all the rest being thrown well out of the window, but this time there's both a title race and relegation battle on the line. What is awaiting us will surely be very, very special.
