MAINZ TAKE DERBY SPOILS
In the end, the man advantage made all the difference as Mainz came from behind in the second half to score twice and take all three points against Frankfurt. Karim Onisiwo was the inspiration with a goal and assist, but Dominik Kohr's red card was the big telling point in the game. The win takes them four points above the relegation play-off spot, while Frankfurt stay in 10th.

KOSTIC SHOT SAVED
Big chance for the Serbian at the back post after fantastic work from Hinteregger down the right, but his shot is low and to the middle of the Mainz goal and Zentner is able to save it well.

ADDED TIME!
We're into four minutes of added time at the end of this game with both sides still going for goal.
90'
KUNDE DOWN...
A knock to the Mainz midfielder, but he should be able to continue in these last few minutes after Lucas Torro's challenge.
87'
SZALAI CLOSE AGAIN
Mainz able to find space in the Frankfurt backline and Öztunali finds Szalai in the box. It's a heavy pass though, and he can only attempt at goal from a wide angle, which Rönnow is able to deal with.
81'
QUAISON HAS A GO
The first shot of vengeance from Quaison comes from the edge of the box and forces another good save from Rönnow, who pushes the ball clear from his own box.
80'
KOSTIC SO CLOSE
Toure's cross from the right is flicked on by Sow in the middle and Kostic almost times his run to the back post to perfection as he stretches to reach the ball, but he's inches from reaching it.
76'
EAGLES WARMING UP THEIR WINGS
The away side certainly aren't giving up on this game and the Mainz goal has made them a little more comfortable here. Gacinovic is an attacking move from Hütter to try and inspire a comeback in these final 15 minutes, with Andre Silva still on the bench.
69'
SZALAI WITH THE GOAL!
A cross from the right by Kunde to the back post is tasty and Onisiwo is perfectly-placed. He heads back down into the box and Szalai uses his brute strength to hold off Toure while he turns with the ball running past him, before smashing it past Rönnow from in front of goal.
68'
HOW DID THAT NOT GO IN!?
Öztunali's shot at goal is parried by Rönnow and Szalai is on the rebound, but the Danish goalkeeper somehow gets a hand to it to tip it onto his own crossbar with arguably the save of the season so far. It bounces back down in front of goal, though, but Hinteregger beats Quaison to the header in front of goal.
64'
ONISIWO SHOT SAVED
A chance on the counter for the home side with Niakhate bringing the ball out of defence. He looks to his right and finds Onisiwo in the box. The Austrian forward takes a shot at goal, but it's straight at Rönnow who parries it away.
61'
FRANKFURT HOPING FOR COUNTERS
The Eagles are looking to use pace on the break when possible here, with defending the first and main priority. A chance just went begging there, but Sow sent a volley high over the Mainz goal from distance.
57'
MAINZ GOING ALL OUT
The home side are not hiding away here. They are dominating this first half and now midfielder Danny Latza is brought off for striker Adam Szalai. Three strikers on the pitch now for them.
53'
ONISIWO GOAL RULED OUT
The striker thought he had found the net again, but it's been ruled out by VAR. Boetius' backheel sent the ball to the byline and Martin just wasn't quick enough to keep it in play. His slide and clip took the ball into the box where Quaison flicked it to the back post for Onisiwo to tap home, but to no avail.

GOAL MANIA
And with that Mainz goal, every Bundesliga team has now scored this weekend.

MAINZ ARE LEVEL!
It didn't take long for the home side to make the most of their man advantage. St. Juste has a shot from distance and it clips the shin of Onisiwo as well as Hinteregger, going off the Frankfurt defender last in the end by the looks of things, and beyond Rönnow into the Frankfurt net.
49'
HELLO BOETIUS!
Outstanding effort from the Dutchman who is first to a loose ball after Martin's free-kick. He meets it perfeclty on the half-volley, spinning the ball Pavard-style towards the Frankfurt goal. Rönnow produces a stunning save to tip the ball over his own crossbar though.
46'
SECOND HALF UNDERWAY
An interesting move at the break as Paciencia comes off for Torro, who will play in midfield. It means Kamada will be Frankfurt's only real attacking option and Mainz will be looking to make the most of their man advantage, but will have to break through a Frankfurt wall to do it.

WE HAVE A GAME ON OUR HANDS
Martin Hinteregger's scrappy goal has Frankfurt ahead at the break here in Mainz, but the away side are down to ten men after Dominik Kohr decided to "take on for the team" bringing down Leven Öztunali who was clean through on goal. It leaves the second half open for change and Mainz will want to make the most of their man advantage. Last week it was they who were down a man, and scored four times...

Two minutes of added time has been signalled by referee Manuel Gräfe.

KUNDE FORCES A SAVE
The resulting free-kick from Kunde takes a slight deflection off the wall on its way to goal, but Rönnow is able to recover and make a solid save.
44'
KOHR SENT OFF
The Frankfurt midfielder is shown a straight red card after a tactical foul on Öztunali. He brought the Mainz man down just outside the Frankfurt box with only the goalkeeper ahead of him after he'd run through on the counter.
42'
QUAISON OFF BALANCE
The Sweden international is first to Öztunali's cross from the right, but his jump is mistimed and the header that follows a poor one which doesn't trouble Rönnow.
36'
A SEASON-BEST FOR HINTI
The 4th goal of the season for Hinteregger means he has already earned a new personal best mark for goals scored in a Bundesliga season after just 13 matches. It's also the highest total of any defender in the Bundesliga this season.
34'
HINTI PARTY!
The Frankfurt fans celebrate first and it's Hinteregger with the goal. Another short corner sees Sow take the ball into the box. It runs loose to Toure after a challenge from Kunde and the Frenchman is quick to spot his defensive partner in space before laying the ball off to him for a right-footed shot at goal. Zentner gets a hand to it, but only enough to palm it into the bottom corner.
28'
FIRST CHANCE FOR PACIENCIA
A cross comes into the box from Sow after a short corner and it's Paciencia who gets on the ball. His back is to goal, though, so he is forced to improvise with a difficult header which actually sees the ball bounce off his back in the end - and that sends the ball wide of the mark.
26'
MIDFIELD BATTLE
Neither side has been able to get a real touch of the ball in the opposition box so far. Every attack is being nullified before reaching the danger area. A game of midfield battling up to now.
19'
BOTH SIDES LOOK CONFIDENT
The keepers have not been made to work so far, but both sides are happy to play their way. Mainz are keeping the ball as best they can, trying to play their way through the Frankfurt defence. While Frankfurt's winger are already well in the game with da Costa and Kostic seeing plenty of the ball.
11'
WHAT A CHANCE FOR KOHR!
That should really have been the opening goal for Frankfurt. Kostic is sent down the left wing and crosses to the back post where Kohr is all alone, six yards from goal. He connects with the cross on the volley, but can only send it high over the Mainz goal. A huge chance goes begging.
10'
MAINZ FINDING FLOW QUICKLY
The home side have been quick to snuff out Frankfurt attacks and create their own counters in these opening minutes. Boetius has been involved, but hasn't been able to connect with Quaison or Onisiwo in attack up to now.
6'
KUNDE HAS A GO!
The Mainz midfielder - who scored the first two goals of his Bundesliga career last weekend vs. Hoffenheim - collects the ball on the edge of the Frankfurt box from Onisiwo's pass. He takes a snap-shot on his left, but watches it glide narrowly over the crossbar.

FINALLY UNDERWAY

It's been a fantastic weekend of action so far in the Bundesliga with shocks and surprises along the way with 29 goals scored so far. MAINZ STICK TO THREE AT THE BACK
St. Juste, Fernandes and Niakhate make up Mainz's defence tonight, with Leven Öztunali and Aaron Martin out on either wing this evening. It's a more attacking line-up than the visitors tonight, though, with Jean-Paul Boetius supporting Robin Quaison and Karim Onisiwo in attack.
PACIENCIA ON HIS OWN
The Portugal international starts up front on his own this evening, with in-form Daichi Kamada and Djibril Sow supporting him from attacking midfield. A three-man defence is deployed but without Makoto Hasebe in the middle, with the defender missing through flu.
