DRAW CONFIRMS SECOND FOR GLADBACH
The Foals have confirmed their second-placed finish for the first half of this season, just two points behind leaders RB Leipzig. Hertha, meanwhile, are just a single point behind city rivals Union in 12th place as both of these sides bring an end to 2019 in the Bundesliga. We have just two games left for the year and decade as a whole.

WILL WE SEE A WINNER?
It might well be a moment of brilliance or a mistake which settles this game with less than 10 minutes to play now.

GINTER HEADS WIDE
The Germany international is up the pitch for a set-piece and it's Neuhaus who curls the free-kick into the box, but Ginter can't quite angle his header on target from around the penalty spot.

JANTSCHKE OFF WITH A KNOCK
The Gladbach legend has put in a good shift at right-back tonight but is off after taking a knock for Gladbach's first substitution of the game.

DOUBLE CHANGE
Pascal Köpke comes on up front for Hertha, with Marius Wolf now playing to his right and Javairo Dilrosun to his left. Looks like a 4-3-3 now for the home side.

HERTHA STILL PUSHING FORWARD
The home side, albeit under a tonne of pressure so far in this second half, have still been able to get forward and produce chances of their own. Lukebakio has had most of them - three of the six shots on goal - but Gladbach's defence is always difficult to break through.

EMBOLO NOW!
The Swiss forward turns his man into the box and races towards the near post. He has support but looks to dink the ball past Jarstein, who flaps it away for a corner, which Hertha clear.

PLEA FORCES A GOOD SAVE
Neuhaus breaks through the midfield and finds Plea running into the box through the middle. He opens his body and looks to go for the far right corner but instead hits it just to the side of Jarstein, and the Hertha 'keeper can make another solid save.

ZAKARIA HAS A GO
Thuram races to the byline and plays the ball back to Jantschke. His attempted cross is deflected to the edge of the Hertha box where Zakaria is and he laces a half-volley at goal, stinging the hands of Jarstein in the middle of the goal.

GOOD MOVE FROM THE FOALS
Nice start to this second half from the away side, who work the ball from left to right across the edge of the Hertha box. Neuhaus dinks a ball over the Hertha defence for Jantschke to reach, which he volleys across the face of the Hertha goal. Thuram tries to get on the end of it but is a metre away...

PLEA DOWN
The Gladbach forward has taken a knock after a challenge from Dedryck Boyata and is taking treatment. He should be able to continue, but it was a painful one on the Frenchman's right foot.

SECOND HALF UNDERWAY
We're back and rolling in Berlin with no changes at the break from either side.

CHANCES AND STRUGGLE FOR BOTH SIDES
Eduard Löwen and Marcus Thuram came closest for either side in a first half which saw both sides struggling to overcome the other with their initial gameplans. Marco Rose has shown he is a specialist in making game-changing tactical moves, though, and we can expect to see a different Gladbach come out for the second half.

BIG CHANCE FOR THURAM
Gladbach win the ball from Lukebakio as he goes to break and quickly turn it into an attack. Plea finds Embolo with his back to goal on the edge of the box and he turns to play it to Thuram yards to his right. The Frenchman cuts onto his left and hits a shot at goal, but it's straight at Jarstein and a simple one to save. Neuhaus goes for the rebound and misses, but was offside anyway.

SO CLOSE FROM LUKEBAKIO
The Belgian winger is set away down the right and is forcing a Gladbach defender to track back into his own box. He cuts onto his favoured left-foot and curls a shot at goal, which bounces just inches past the far post of the Gladbach goal. Hertha with the best two chances of the game so far.

GAME STARTING TO OPEN UP
Hertha have won the ball in the Gladbach half a couple of times now in the last few minutes and countered, but have not been able to do anything with it up to now.

OFF THE BAR!
Eduard Löwen produces a fantastic free-kick and smacks the top of Yann Sommer's crossbar. The Gladbach No.1 could only watch as the ball curled over the wall and towards his goal, but it was just a touch too high. The best effort of the game so far.

GLADBACH ON TOP
We're yet to have a shot on goal from either side in this game, but it's Gladbach who are coming closest to one thus far. Hertha have rarely got out of their own half with possession, but still maintain that counter-attack threat.
10'
TOUGH TACKLING
Both sides are providing some strong challenges in these opening exchanges and the home side are struggling to get into the groove with Gladbach growing in confidence. The away side are holding the pace of Hertha's attack down well, while also looking to get in behind the Hertha backline.

GLADBACH LOVING THE BALL
Marco Rose, as usual, happy to control possession in this game - or at least try to. It's a big old pitch at the Olympiastadion and with three forwards, the Foals will look to use their galloping legs to make the most of the space.

LIGHTS OUT AT THE OLYMPIASTADION
The atmosphere is building nicely in the capital with a packed crowd inside the Olympiastadion for this Saturday evening game. The lights were out for a bit as the fans created their own visual effects with the lights from their phones, and now we're ready to rumble with the players set to walk out from the tunnel.
KLINSMANN ADMIRES GLADBACH
“Gladbach have a squad that’s packed with exceptional talented young players,” said the Hertha boss at his pre-match press conference. “We have a lot of respect for them. We’ll be testing ourselves against a top team and we want to build on our win over Leverkusen.”
ROSE LOOKING FORWARD TO KLINSMANN MEETING
Gladbach head coach Marco Rose has been impressed what he’s seen from Jürgen Klinsmann so far: “Obviously things change at a club when a new coach comes in. Hertha have played a couple of games under Klinsmann now, so we’ve been able to prepare for them. I haven’t met Jürgen personally yet, but I’m looking forward to doing so. He was a fantastic player and is a terrific coach. He goes his own way. It’s very impressive.”
NOTHING BETWEEN THEM
These two teams have faced each other 62 times in the Bundesliga over the years, fixtures that have produced 24 wins apiece and 14 draws. That said, recent history has been on Hertha's side as the Old Lady won both meetings last season (3-0 away and 4-2 at home).
THE STAKES
Gladbach will head into 2020 in second place even if they win here. A victory would take them level on 37 points with frontrunners RB Leipzig, but Die Roten Bullen have a far superior goal difference (plus 28 compared to plus 15). For Hertha, meanwhile, it is an opportunity to continue pulling away from the relegation zone - they're currently four points above 17th-placed Werder Bremen.
HERTHA STARTING XI:
Jarstein - Klünter, Boyata, Rekik, Plattenhardt - Skjelbred, Löwen, Darida, Dilrosun - Lukebakio, Selke
