FIVE-STAR FROM BAYERN
Serge Gnabry is the architect for Bayern's fifth goal. He cuts inside from the left wing after a pass from Philippe Coutinho and drives into the Schalke box before curling a shot at goal. It bounces in off Schubert, but it was a shot on target from Gnabry and goes down as his goal.

THE DAVIES MACHINE
Alphonso Davies has been superb for Bayern once again at left-back. He's won the most duels of any player in the game, produced the most sprints, completed 70/77 passes kept the entire Bayern left flank in check.

MCKENNIE COMEBACK!
The USMNT midfielder is back for Schalke, making his first appearance since Matchday 15 against Eintracht Frankfurt.

ANOTHER LEWY CHANCE
A cross comes in from Davies and goes through Müller to the back post. Lewandowski controls it perfectly over Nastasic and has a chance to shoot at goal. He goes for a lob over Schubert, but miscues it and fires over the crossbar.

LEWANDOWSKI CLIPS THE POST
Great technique from Lewandowski who somehow sneaks to the back post and is left alone from a corner. The ball is sent deep towards him and he catches it on the volley, sending it onto the outside of Schubert's near post and away.

AS THINGS STAND
With his win that has surely already been sealed for Bayern, Hansi Flick's side will go just one point behind league leaders RB Leipzig, two weeks before the sides meet at the Allianz Arena. They may want to keep searching for goals here with goal difference also a factor in the title race. Bayern currently stand four goals better off than Leipzig.

LEWANDOWSKI HEADS OVER
Perisic crosses to the near post and Lewandowski is there to meet it, but glances his header just over the Schalke crossbar.

THIAGO MAKES IT FOUR!
Kimmich and Thiago steal the ball from Harit in midfield and power forward. Lewandowski is played in behind and he cuts inside past Kabak in the box. He's in front of goal, but plays the ball across for Thiago to tap into an empty net.

BAYERN SHOWING NO MERCY
The home side are in total control here with Schalke failing to close them down and press the ball. It's become all too easy for the home side and they're going for more goals with Davies and Pavard the outlets in wide positions.
50'
GORETZKA FIRES HOME!
It's three for Bayern and Goretzka has a goal against his former club. His header at the back post is blocked back to himself and he then volleys it back at goal himself, and watches it glide past Schubert and into the bottom corner. His first goal of the season and Bayern look certain of going ahead of Gladbach into second place again.

ALABA FORCES A BIG SAVE
The Austrian defender takes aim at goal with a thunderous free-kick and forces a big save from Schubert in the Schalke goal. Thiago does the same from the resulting corner as he connects with a volley which Schubert saves.

DOMINANT DISPLAY SO FAR FROM BAYERN
The defending champions have been in top form so far at the Allianz Arena. Schalke have had chances to find a goal themselves, but it's been all Bayern in reality. The hosts have had 71 per cent of possession and 11 attempts on goal, five of which have come just from Robert Lewandowski. Unless Schalke can find a finishing touch in front of goal, this game will stay in Bayern's hands.

NO VAR THIS TIME!
Müller finds the net in first half added time to double Bayern's lead at the break. A great goal for the home side as Perisic dinks the ball to the back post, Goretzka heads it back into the middle and Müller times his run perfectly to meet it and put the ball past Schubert into the back of the net.

LEWY FORCES A BIG SAVE!
A corner from Kimmich meets Lewandowski perfectly in the Schalke box and he powers a header at goal, but Schubert is well-positioned and reacts in time to punch the ball away.

WHAT A CHANCE FOR HARIT
Schalke have a great chance on the counter with Matondo leading the charge. He has Harit ahead of him and plays him the ball, but it's a heavy pass and forces Harit wide. He cuts back onto his right foot and shoots at goal, but it's blocked behind by the Bayern defence. A better pass there from Matondo may have given Schalke an equaliser.
38'
NO GOAL!
Lewandowski thinks he's scored his second and Bayern's second of the game, but it's pulled back for offside. Pavard was in an offside position when he collected the ball on the right flank. A shame because what followed was outstanding. Pavard's dinked ball over the Schalke defence found Goretzka, who flicked the ball on for Lewandowski to smash home.

HARIT FIRES WIDE
A good chance for Schalke to attack the Bayern goal from a free-kick. It goes short to the edge of the box and Harit for him to shoot at goal, but he slices his effort well wide of the mark. It's been a frustrating half for Schalke so far.
33'
ALL ATTACKS SNUFFED OUT
Schalke have struggled to get in on goal since the opening minutes and those chances from Matondo and Serdar. Bayern have had almost 300 passes so far compared to Schalke's 90. It's been a perfect defensive display as well, with Kimmich stopping Matondo from being able to run at the Bayern defence with the ball.

GORETZKA HEADER SAVED
Schubert is beginning to make up for his earlier mistake as he saves from point-blank range against Goretkza. The former Schalke midfielder headed at goal from Müller's header back into the box from Davies' cross.

LEWANDOWSKI DRAGS A SHOT WIDE
Müller does well to control a header and play the ball to Lewandowski on the edge of the box. He drives at goal and shoots, but drags wide of the mark across the face of the Schalke goal.

GOOO... NO!
Thomas Müller has the ball in the Schalke net but the referee and VAR have given offisde. Müller clipped the ball over Schubert from inside the six-yard box after Leon Goretzka's shot.

CONTROLLING THE BALL
Bayern have had over three times as many passes completed as their visitors Schalke.

LEWANDOWSKI LOVES PLAYING SCHALKE
Bayern's No.9 has now scored in nine straight Bundesliga matches for Bayern against the Royal Blues. It's a run dating back to April 2016 and has seen him score 12 goals against Schalke.

PERISIC GOES CLOSE
End-to-end stuff here as Lewandowski finds Perisic free on the left side of the Schalke box. He goes for goal with a first-time shot which only finds the side-netting of Schubert's goal.

MATONDO HITS THE BAR!
Schalke not shy here in Munich and they come within inches of finding an equaliser. Welshman Matondo steals the ball from Kimmich in the Bayern midfield and races forward. He has two options to his left, one to his right, but decides to go for goal. His shot takes a deflection over Neuer and is heading for goal, but bounces back out off the upright.

NO.21 FOR LEWANDOWSKI!
And a simple one for Lewandowski. A cross comes in from Müller on the right and Schubert can't catch it, losing the ball to the back post where Perisic is first to it, poking the ball towards Lewandowski in front of goal and the Pole smashes it home. His 21st goal of the season and now the out-and-out leader in the scoring charts.

PERISIC USING HIS HEAD AGAIN
We saw Bayern use the aerial ability of Ivan Perisic to their advantage last week at Hertha Berlin and they're starting early with it again today. Müller's cross to the back post finds the Croatian, but Schubert gathers his effort with ease.
2'
SERDAR WITH AN EARLY CHANCE!
The in-form midfielder picks up the ball on the edge of the Bayern box in a great position. He opens his body and curls a shot at goal, but Neuer is well-positioned and makes a comfortable save. Almost the perfect start for the away side.

MINUTES SILENCE
We're holding a minute's silence here in Munich in honour of former Bayern chairman Walter Fembeck who died yesterday.
"NEUER THE BEST GOALKEEPER THE WORLD HAS EVER SEEN" - RUMMENIGGE
Bayern's chairman has lavished praise on his No.1 before this game, which sees Bayern come up against the side which Alexander Nübel - signed to replace Neuer in the years to come - plays for. Nübel is suspended for tonight's game, and Rummenigge believes Neuer is the role model for him and others. "I've seen everyone," Rummenigge declared. "Sepp Maier, Oliver Kahn, and now Manu. I have the greatest respect for Sepp and Oli, they were absolutely world-class. But what Manuel has done is something else: he took the whole goalkeeping game to a new level."
SUPER SERDAR TO SHINE AGAIN?
Serdar has scored seven goals this season for Schalke – a personal best in the Bundesliga. All of those strikes have given the Royal Blues the lead, which is a league-best together with Lewandowski and Fortuna Düsseldorf’s Rouwen Hennings.
MCKENNIE BACK
The USMNT star is on the bench this evening and back in the squad for the first time since dislocating his shoulder before the winter break.
THE LEGACY OF LEWANDOWSKI CONTINUES...
The Bayern No.9 leads the Bundesliga scoring chart alongside Leipzig's Werner with 20 goals each. A goal in this game would see him tie Gerd Müller's all-time record after 19 matchdays of 21 goals from 1972/73. Lewandowski scored his first Bundesliga goals for both Dortmund and Bayern against Schalke. He has now netted in his last eight league games against the Royal Blues (11 goals in total). The only player in Bundesliga history to score in nine consecutive matches against a single opponent was Klaus Fischer against VfB Stuttgart.
MATONDO IN ATTACK FOR SCHALKE
There's clearly a tactic up David Wagner's sleeve as he starts Rabbi Matondo in attack today. The rapid Welshman will look to cause problems to Bayern's defence in his first Bundesliga start of 2020. Michael Gregoritsch also continues in attack, looking to continue his fantastic start to life with Schalke after his goal and assist vs. Gladbach last weekend.
ODRIOZOLA ON THE BENCH
The new signing from Real Madrid is on the bench this evening for Bayern. Benjamin Pavard starts in his preferred right-back role as Hansi Flick keeps things the same as last week other than Philippe Coutinho dropping to the bench.
